Vanessa Redgrave is one of the greatest actresses EVER, PERIOD! Had it not been for politics, she'd have more Oscars than anyone. If you've seen her work, especially since she's gotten older, is so real until even though you know she's acting, it's so natural. I see why she's Meryl Streep's favorite actress. I have never seen her give a bad performance. I've seen her on stage and in film and it's a wonder.

That's just like some people who do not like black people and I'm black, but if that person have a great performance, then they have a great performance.

As a Scandinavian Swede I feel very proud over this show. It's not many talk shows where the guests actually gets to speak and where the focus on the person is truly sincere. Skavlan on the other hand, is doing a great job accomplishing that, along with the people that's working on the show doing research. Keep up the good work! ♥

“On the other hand” doesn’t sound totally natural in English in this situation. You just described the qualities that you like out of a talk show, and it would be better to say something like “Skavlan does what most interviewers can’t”. It makes perfect sense, but it doesn’t fit perfectly well with English logic. #englishtips

Strictly for Vanessa. Kelly is cute, but doesn’t know when to stop monopolizing the interview. When Vanessa was asked about her relationship with Nero Franco (husband) who is the father of Carlo, Kelly asked; Oh, did you date? DUH ....! Vanessa is a very talented legend. No one on that stage is her equal. Sit back and listen to someone else share their wealth of knowledge for a change.
Came for Vanessa. Stayed for Vanessa. Also love Kelly.

Great to see a show that has more than 1 female guest. 3 brilliant women of 3 different generations. The legendary - and legitimately one of the greatest actors ever - Vanessa Redgrave. The iconic Kathy Griffin, a rare feat in a female comedian in her late 50's who still plays to big crowds. A newer talent, Kelly Clarkson, a fabulous singer with a long career ahead of her.
So many talk shows have more male than female guests so it is refreshing to see a predominantly female stage.
Notice they made a lot over the man being alone.

I've re-watched this specific interview a half dozen times ... the chemistry is palpable. Hopefully Kelly's team can land Vanessa as a guest on her show.

I’m glad Kelly was on the show with Vanessa so we could see Vanessa talk about singing and hear her sing.
Vanessa Redgrave is a very real person. I met her about 15 years ago after a play and she spent a lot of time talking to fans outside. A few years after that I saw her in another play and she did the same thing. She was asking people about their families and grandchildren etc.
I remember crying when Natasha Richardson died, so I can’t imagine how Vanessa felt
I thought Natasha Richardson was one of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. can't decide whether I thought she was more beautiful in nell or The Parent Trap. So sad how she died and I felt so bad for Liam Neeson because he adored her.

What a great talk show, and I admire the host. He didn’t talk over his guests... it want about him. Bravo. Didn’t hear the young man speak but Kelly and Vanessa were terrific to watch.

It is amazing how Skavlan lets the conversation develop without interfering too much. That would be unthinkable in German TV where hosts have to make themselves heard every other minute.

Kelly is like that in every interview I've ever seen her in. She's been that way since her first "Idol" audition. I just think its her personality. I think she's just an honest/chatty interviewee (is that a word?). Not to mention she is a very talented singer. Probably one of the best live performers out there right now. No auto-tune needed for this girl! No, its not classical music....but she didn't do all that bad with that either. Pop though, and although I'm not a Country fan....she pulls that off quit nicely too. I really like her. She gives off a very "genuine vibe" and I like that. I get the feeling we could go to lunch and just have a great time.
she also wasn't warmed up or prepared. She has an awesome voice with an amazing range.
