Hi, I am planning to start a Van conversion project based on a Citroen Relay L4H3, most recent version (2024). Thank you for your very helpful videos, between you and Greg Virgo, I have no excuses to just get on with it! I am currently looking at getting a detailed floor plan with all dimensions, including wheel arch size and position, sliding door, etc .. Would you be able to provide it to me please? That will be much appreciated. Thank you for your help.
Floor plan you say? Uh! I went for the 'back of a fag packet' approach and just winged it. If you fancy spending days and days on the 'sketch up' virgoe approach then please go for it, I just jumped straight in and worked it out as I went. good luck with your build whichever you choose.
I installed the same as you have and your video saved me money as I knew exactly how much to buy, Thank you. Can I ask where did you get the rear seat from.
Another great video. At 15min, what is the distance from the finished ply floor at the rear doors to the front of the wheel arch where your hot, cold and gas pipe is coming up. Trying to plan our van build. Would be a big help with floor measurements. Thanks
Thanks for watching. follow this link to Amazon www.amazon.co.uk/Insulation-Dampening-Moistureproof-Waterproof-Thichness/dp/B08GG45LYT/ref=sr_1_38?crid=16FIL3GLS86DU&keywords=vandalized+insulation&qid=1639870264&sprefix=vandalised+insulation%2Caps%2C67&sr=8-38 There are many different manufacturers, but this will give you a flavour for the type of thing. A brand name product in the UK would be DODOMAT van liner.
water pipe is John Guest 12mm, i got from Magnum Motorhomes but most campervan suppliers sell the same stuff. The copper pipe is 8mm and came from Screwfix. thanks fro watching, all the best.
Oh! if your just starting out, give Magnum a call, they will set you up with a 5% discount as a 'builder' on everything they sell. is not a great discount, but every little helps.
The groove you left to pass your water pipes from the left to the right of the van will leave that area without insulation: any danger those pipes will freeze?
Hopefully not, i did line the bottom with the closed cell foam I used on the sides and roof and then wrapped the pipes with a foil bubble wrap 'pipe lagging' type stuff.
Hi loving your videos. Regarding the extra seat, why cant you use the double seat from the front? Keep up the great videos.

Always good to save a few pounds. The rear seat frame came from Solway Camper Conversions. I am doing a video on this soon.
Great video, can I ask where your fly screen was from please? Starting my build in the next couple of weeks and would like to add the same
Cant remember the exact retailer now, I search around for best price at the time. Dometic only do the one that fits the relay if that helps.

about 170cm. hope that helps.
I would have put sound deadening and insulation under the floor it will make a difference
My floor as 25mm PIR board insulation. I dont agree with the sound deadening as it just adds excess weight for no real gain.
Hello, thanks for your video!
One question, what is that interesting insulation on the wall?
I've only seen this Armaflex-like insulation so far.

Looking good! Going for a similar method. Can I ask what copper pipe you used and what water pipe? Thanks always keep it up!! 👍🏻

Wiltshire Custom Camper Damn, just bought windows from them too!! As always thanks so much and best of luck.
I used the original cushions on a Evo frame….never again!
Thanks for the comment sorry to hear it did not work out for you.
Hi, thanks for the helpful videos :) What is the additional seating frame you've installed in the back? Thanks!
Thanks for your comment and I'm glad your finding the videos helpful. I have a video coming very soon covering the seat frame.
Ah great, thank you!
