  • An incredibly popular and common palm found in landscapes and gardens around the globe is Chamaerops humilis. The common names are European Fan Palm and Mediterranean Fan Palm. This video is about just one of the varieties -- Chamaerops humilis var. 'humilis', the greenest in coloration and the most widely grown of the handful of varieties. Videos will be produced on the other varieties of Chamaerops humilis in the future.
Chamaerops humilis var. 'humilis' is a durable palm, suitable for many climates, especially Mediterranean climates. It is cold hardy and can survive periods of drought. Very attractive and easy to take care of.

They go a bit more north than your map as they are native to parts of southern mainland France too not just the island of Corsica in France

As far as I have heared and read you can´t divide them. There is just one root stock and if you remove a small pup its gonna die eventually

Great video, thanks. I was wondering if the seeds drop to the ground much and if they are toxic to pets. Thanks!

Seeds and fruits of this palm are not toxic. They are edible.
