  • In today's video I talk about how I study now that I'm in the clinical phase of my medical school course! It's definitely very different to being a preclinical med student and making lecture notes! I cover my favourite resources for learning med, using quizlet and passmed, fitting studying in to a busy schedule, becoming more self directed with learning and my tips for learning on the wards!
    TIMESTAMPS
1:17 - Resources I use to study while on placement

7:23 - Finding the time to study while on a full time placement
9:03 - How to direct your own learning on placement
12:42 - The best ways to learn on the wards
Hope you find this video helpful and remember to subscribe to my channel to join me on my journey to becoming a doctor!

This is giving me so much more motivation to go to medical school! It’ll be worth the £2000 to pay to sit my GCSEs!

Hi great video! Starting placement on Monday so this was really useful :) Really random but where did you get your waterfall fairy lights behind your bed? Thank you!

This is the best tips I've found on CZcams about clinical phase! It's structured, detailed, and genuine. I wish you received more views!
    Question: what's "clarking" a patient?

Thank you so much! I’m so glad as that’s exactly how I wanted it to be! Clerking patients (don’t know why it’s pronounced clarking) is when you are taking a history and examining a patient for the first time eg when they arrive in the emergency department!
