Been building the Hue light groups for a few years now. Just like you say..they may be a bit more but they work well.
Latest addition is the square outdoor deck light and additional light strips in the kitchen above and under cabinets.
Google assistant controls them when not using the magnetic hue switches.
Awesome video, straight to the point. Thank you!
Holy shit that's glorious. Definitely picking up a kit when I renovate my room.
wow this setup was way easier than I thought; you've convinced me :)
I love this !! 😍
thank you for you share this video
I'll going to buy now !! 😜
every color looks so good on his setup respect
Thanks heaps Sir. Appreciated. I am sold.
That looks great, cool walls.
Really enjoy your videos, used some of your ideas for my set up!
felix feliz Great! Thanks!
I love the lights, I have them myself
Legend !
Love the video, SUBSCRIBED for sure and will also recommend your channel to everyone I know!
Really great video, I've got some philips hue bulbs but didnt know I could do all that!! Totally agree that they are the most reliable rgb product out there.....you do get what you pay for!!
What's up buddy! Yeah, they're more expensive but they're solid
Loved the wall paper dude
Great setup:)
Altough i prefer to setup the ledstrips individual to the positions on screen, so i use smaller versions
Beautiful! Totally like it 👌🏽
Thanks!
Nice video! I love phillips hue!
Loved it ♥♥♥♥ I think it'll fit my Budget 😎😎😎
Watched all your videos love them man keep them coming! You inspired me to do a similar build! Also please do a breakdown video on your monitor you haven’t done that yet!
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback! Yeah, I should do a vid on my monitor cause its pretty sweet.
very cool!! doing it!!!
Great video! Had a question on the LED light strips. Did you need two separate power plugs for the strip behind your desk and then for the one behind your monitor?
Just wondering how that works because they are two separate light strips?
Thanks man🥰
Clean setup.
Great video. i plan on doing my office and this is a helpful tutorial video!
I’m impressed and a new sub. I would like to know whether your headphones are compatible with goXLR without amp or dac or can I run amp/dac with GoXLR
killer vid thank you
Came here for lighting advice, turns out what I *also* need is an O-11 dynamic.
THIS WAS ON BITWIT, WHAT A BEAUTY
Looks great
thumbs up for the little dance to the jingle lol
This looks sick!
Thanks!
I love the setup keep it up
Thanks my friend!
Love that u played Halo Reach for the test. It also looks amazing, might gonna buy it too

Your the guy from the TechSource Video your Setup is amazing ❤️
Thanks my friend!
@@PCBattlestations this setup is amazing the lights you got makes it even better I like the all white and the blue and purple scene it makes it change everything
New to the channel. Very good youtuber and I love the quality of the video. I Subscribed.
Thanks my friend!
Looks nice! I want to know what are the two cube thingys that have plants on them on the wall?
Hey what’s up dude thx for sharing your set up! How are you powering up the first light strip that’s attached to the back of your desk?
Great video thanks and what did u use foe the monitor? I seen u used a strip and extension for the desk. I dont want to get the wrong thing ;) thanks in advance
Your wall behind your desk where the headphones are is crazy... texture👌🏾
that isnt the real wall there panels that go on the wall

Great! I'm getting started tomorrow on hooking up my home studio! Also, the music was kicking:)
Hi! I love this setup! Which lamp is this on your desk? Cant find it :/
Great demo. Like your set up. If you don’t mind can you tell me how many inches off the wall is your desk? Mine is about 2 inches. Wondering if that willl be to close....
Is the hue bridge necessary to change the bulbs/lights RGB settings, or is it only if you want to synchronize everything?
is lifx not better?
i currently have 2 lifx bulbs super bright but also have 3 gu10 phillips and bridge dont know which strip to get behind my desk
Awesome video and great setup! Do you absolutely have to have speakers for the lights to interact while gaming? I usually play with headphones and don't want to disturb the wife more than I have to. lol.
I noticed the Cololight Pro (Hexagon Lights) appear to be in sync with the philips hue. Do these hexagonal lights sync with the hue environment or is that not possible? Would be great to have these sync with the Hue Sync Box as well if possible. Thanks!
Does the hub that you hook up to the modem have to be in the same room with the lights? Or can I have the lights throughout my house but have the one Phillip hub at the modem?
what strip light did you put on the monitor screen? is it the extension? cuz I thought you connected the extension one to the 80" you have. im confused
Thank you
love your Tee-Shirt that's cool, I want one 👍
Question, where did you get the wallpaper on your computer screens
Looks beautiful, I actually found your set up some weeks ago and it inspired the current set up I am currently... Well... Setting up. I already got the TITAN CHAIR last week, so glad to see you have it. I'm sure that's a good sign lol. Did anyone see him test the "Video" effects out? I only saw him cover the Music and Game effect on the app. I wanted to know if the video mode works, that's the one where the colors are supposed to match what's going on on-screen making whatever you're looking at much more immersive. I originally thought that effect was only achievable if you had the Philips PLAY product bar thing but I heard it's do-able with just the light strips. :L
4 Months later, hey! I'm pretty much fully set up as of well, maybe a week after the OP! Lol! I have my speakers mounted on my wall, right beside my Ultrawide (same monitor as this dude) but read of many many issues with many of these LG monitors so may play it safe, and sell it, then get an Alienware AW20 or whatever, the white one, basically, even though it has a lower refresh rate. (120, vs LG's 144) but I think anyway it has the cooler aesthetics to make up for it and higher nit count for I think, more true color or something like that. I forgot the tech jargon I read about it.
Also, the video mode effects for the Phillips hue stuff is fucking kickass!! I went with a third party app called HUESTACEAN to get the most accurate colors in the areas I wanted and it's soooooooooooo good for movies and games!
@@TheMillionDollarDropout are you using play bars or light strips?
Hey man, can you give more info on what products are you using? Iam planning to upgrade the lighting system of my office, and i have not decided yet which system i should use.
awesome!!!
i am thinking about also puting a philips hue lightstrip behind my monitor. Did you use the 80 inch, or the 40 inch for that??
So it syncs with your screen without the philips sync box and just with the hue bridge? Can that also be done with tv screens?
So do you need the hue sync box to sync the bridge and lights to devices?
Even I planning to put the light strip for my monitor. Does light strip works with hue app and change the color according to the video.
Very amazing
also love the PC case
Where do you get those fractal wall panels from? The light interacts with the angles well
amazon they're 3d wall panels by art3d
Art3d Textures 3D
I won over $2500 worth of philips hue strips, bulbs and bars. I just got a $55 govee RGBIC Dreamcolor and man it’s so nice. I liked it better than any of my philips hue lights :(
do you have 2 seperate power supplies attached? one for your monitor and one for behind your desk
Are those panels or tiles in the back? I truely ‘love them’
I love this setup, I want to do similar, have a strip for my desk and another for my monitor, I have a question though, do I have to buy two sets of light strips to be able to set different lights to the desk and monitor? I was confused at the beginning of the video because I saw only one box of light strip and the extension, I'd appreciate if you can answer
Curious on this as well!
I dont think so
Hey dude I saw this setup featured in setup wars from tech source
You found me!
Episode?
Hi mate, cool setup. I just bought some hue bars but thinking about getting a hue strip too. How to you they fit around bends and cormers etc? Also do the hue bulbs fit into regular lamps? I have a bridge but no sync box yet as they are very very expensive
You can use the Hue Sync app for your computer.
Great video ansdgreat results! So, did you actually plug the extension strip with the main one? Or did you use it individually behind the mk monitor?
Giorgos Mavr Maybe I shouldve explained that better. I have one 80” strip with 40” extension on my desk and another lightstrip behind the monitor
@@PCBattlestations Oh, I got it! It looks great though... is it Philips Hue too?
@@giorgosmavridis650 Yup!
@@PCBattlestations Nice job!
Question - do you work on your computer in the dark with just the led lights on? It's atmospheric but is it bad for your eyesight and eye health?
Great set up. I have a set of Hue lights and it's great for setting up a video since I can change the color on the fly. What version of the app do you use? Mine doesn't look like that
Thanks! Mine is version 3.36.0 (11038) and looks to be up to date.
I tried it, but it does not attach at all behind TV and everyting when you remove the protective band. How did you do ?
if I just plug this into a smart plug that is already connected to my HomePod would it work without the hue bridge?
in the monitor did you apply the 2 meter or 1 meter strip?
Looks awesome. Also i would like to know how is that texture on the wall called 😁
John BA They are 3D wall panels made by Art3D. Theres a link to them in the description if you wanna check em out
@@PCBattlestations thank you sir
PC Battlestations One question, were did you get the background wall i like the texture any idea were i can find it?
@@marybenji2001 Its literally in his reply, from Art3d....
ben H are u stupid
love it. where did you get the hexagonal white lamp on your desk? its fits perfectly...
found it in your info below your video. thanks!/nevermind. : )
Installed the light strip on my desk in the same place you did...I love it. The only complaint I might have with the entire setup is the fact they use small pieces of cover for the 3M strip making it really annoying to peel and stick. I think using a single cover for the tape would be much easier.
Trust me, you don't want that. I had a cheap eBay light strip that was like that, it had one while peelable piece and it was a mess because it would all peel off as I was trying to lay the strip gently. It ended up falling on the floor, on the sticky part and bam, stickiness was gone for good pretty much lol.
Hi! First of all - great vid. I have a question though, regarding the sync between the lights and the music/video. Don't you need the Philips Hue Sync box to make it happen? Thanks in advance!
If you are syncing with your computer (macOS / Windows), there’s a free Hue Sync app.
where do I find the sound damping panel you got?
I go with the Smart Life app, the lights are 50% cheaper than Hue...But I've stuck with the app and products, all in all, if your getting control of all of your lighting with one app at whatever cost, it's just awesome.
20YrOldPizza Agreed!
Hey, just a quick question! Where did you buy that mouse wrist rest that's on your secondary setup? Great video btw
bleachedspace Its just a grey Fellowes Microban mouse pad. Nothing special but I like it for work
Do you have a high pitch noise with your Philips Hue? I got this annoying noise when I have a high pitch buzz noise issue once adjusting the brightness above 20%.
are 2 of your monitors plug to the same pc ?
if yes what the other monitor you use for
Do you have your lights setup without the hdmi sync box?
Whered you buy that wall in front of the pc
Would I need the sync box in order to sync it with tv video?
Nice
Ryan: "Are you ready for the greatest song ever produced? Are you ready for your ears to melt from this goodness?"
Also Ryan: *goes ahead and does NOT play Bohemian Rhapsody*
ROFL! Maybe next time for you
May i know where can i buy that bedside lamp?
How does game mode identify the computer? is the connection via internet?
awesome setup and vid....glad I found your channel....but !!! ya should've let the "greatest song ever " play all the way thru.... 🤣
Amazing
No you are
So do you need the sync box and the bridge?
Hey man, wondering where you got your wallpaper from? It looks stunning, i just got a 32 inch monitor and im looking for a nice wallpaper for it, the one on the left monitor btw.
There ya go: wallpaperaccess.com/4k-color
@@PCBattlestations cheers mate, love the setup btw

Any idea how the lamp at the roof is called? I really like it.
Thought you needed the play sync hdmi box for this
what is the name of the white light place 3:01, I also want to buy something like that
Thank brother, for the video. I have a quick question. I put my lights to my tv and the three bulbs on also. The hub found just the three light bulbs. It does not want to find my light strip. Does the light strip need to have a separate hub??. Thanks man. Please help if you can.
The whole thing should work with the same bridge. Try inputting the serial number of the lightstrip, or resetting it.
I would like to know what your lamp in the roof is named and the square lamp on the taben
Hi may I know if they have the rainbow wave effect?
