10:15 to 14:15 is some of the best surf footage out there ....... the music, the edit -- oozes Malibu. That long curl perfect swell is a dreamer. it is insane how no one in that crowd values someone paddling for a wave even for a second… the confidence to burn 3 ppl, stand up, and then catch a rail on their first bottom turn (assuming they even do one) will never not throw me

Malibu/Ventura local growing up. Haven’t surfed Malibu point in 10+ years cause of the crowd/vibe factor. Last time I went out was at 1am on a full moon with my dad. Had the place to ourselves. I’ll leave it at that! Glad you got some good ones!

The part that should most intrigue... Is knowing "da BU" why would you not bring your own KinEGrines (grubs) + h20 so your not loosing time on the road and focus an all day at the beach.../they bought the boards --fuel for your machine (is always first mention) The most unmentioned-underrated is conditioning.

I thought that one guy was going to wack you with his paddle lol the other guy it looked like you floated over his head lol and the tail sweep slew foot on the long boarder. I was laughing so hard. But wow Koa your surfing is going to the next level the first part you were cranking some nice turns and those bombs at the end were nice loved that cut back when the paddle boarder went ahead.
The new tail pad and the leash with the orange are FIRE!!! Only the fins missing to complete the orange look.
One of the best episodes yet watching the battle royale unfold on waves... not supporting violence, but yeah that was wild.

There is an area just north of San clemente pier past the pedestrian bridge..pretty quiet and very few people on the weekdays. I know it's not Trestles but at least it's less people 🙂.

so, you know how the best waves in Hawaii are all about respect, the line-up and a pecking order? That's because you can easily die on those waves and the old Black shorts would enforce the rules. Here in California, other than a rare few times and places, the waves are generally fun, so the lineup is more laid back. The exact reason why Malibu is the ultimate party wave spot is because there's not a single property in Malibu for under a FEW MILLION dollars. It's lifestyles of the rich and famous there and we all know the rich and famous do whatever the hell they want, they take the wave. There's no such thing as snaking or dropping in on someone at Malibu....these are the expectations you need to have before you paddle out.
