"Nobody loves no one" is a double negative. What he's saying is that everybody loves someone.
Yes getting lost in this song is perfectly normal. I remember when this video came out. Everyone reacted the same exact way as you. It’s a timeless haunting classic.
Joy, you cannot be blamed for lusting after Chris Isaak, dear. You have no choice. Chris is doing his best to keep from losing his soul in this video. The Temptress is hot and illusive, poor lad.

"Nobody loves no one" is just a desperate statement of his broken heart and longing. He knows love exists but it is just out of his reach. There's the rub.
The music is so haunting. And his voice is incredible.
He made the mistake of falling in love with her when she was just playing games. You see her losing interest as the video goes on. The dejection and rejection makes him feel like there is no love in the world. She knew she was leading him on and then she walks away in the end. Hopefully, he met a nice girl soon after and fell in love :) As the Bee Gees said: Nobody gets too much love anymore.
She was playing him. She knew he was falling fast...fed his feelings by telling him she felt the same, then left. A song of both lament as well as feeling foolish for being tricked.
Nobody loves noone means that there isnt a person that hasnt loved someone in their lives. Everyone loves someone.

I met Chris Isaak back in 2001 and again in 2003 a few times! He was doing his tv sitcom "The Chris Isaak Show"in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Chris was so sexy back then too!!❤🥰 Chris is such a nice guy as well as his band mates!
