hey guys, I've removed AVP commentary from CZcams, it will be up on SoundCloud soon, follow me on twitter @mrhreviews for an update and a link for the commentaries. they aren't for everyone and Its getting a lot of hate! here, have this video as a consolation prize :)
There's no way those of us who watch you on our phones could simultaneously synchronize watching the video so it all makes sense. Couldn't you take scenes from the movie, say 5-10 min clips of scenes you want to examine, and overlay your comments? That might get more positive responses. For me, I just appreciate any and all efforts you put into the channel :)
+Chris Dooley not possible dude, setting aside time to do this with a full time job is hard enough as it is. The audio file will be on SoundCloud available to download so can easily be synced then :)
Hate? but I liked it
+Alexandrewvice lol not hate from you man, like I said, imma release it on audio download. Its just better that way, less likely to get abuse!
Mr. H Reviews...take a closer look at the mural in the ampule room, that's not a true Xenomorph. You'll notice that the creature in that mural is missing the bio-mechanical parts (hoses, tubes, etc.) visible on Xenomorphs. That creature's body is smooth & looks closer to a fully grown Deacon. I think that the Engineers created the Deacons with the black goo & that was to be the extent of that creature. In Covenant, I think David will experiment further using the black goo on either Shaw's corpse or an Engineer corpse & through these experiments we'll get the classic bio-mech looking Xenomorph we're familiar with (as seen in the latest trailer).
Human sperm plus goo = weird giant face hugger. Add engineer = deacon. Add more black goo = mountain. Ummmmm yeah ok.
+The third side of the story. It isn't confirmed, Elden inferred it. That's all
The third side of the story. lol now that you think about it...it is kinda...strange but in a good way
The black goo is basicly the T- virus made by aliens , it mutates stuff to insane levels
Des Cyrus it mutates stuff to mountain levels
You know the "Allspark" from those crappy Transformers movies? That alters any electrical or mechanical devices that come into contact with it. As a cheap bit of product placement, a Mountain Dew drinks machine (I think) and a Xbox 360 were both instantly turned into small Deceptacon Transformers-biengs.
I use this as a example that the idea being that is very advanced technology that can alter anything mechanical to turn it into sentient life. I think the "black goo" from Prometheus works in the same way, it can regenerate dead cells, mutate and greatly evolve living cells in any organism.
If you have a open mind and can understand that (in this pseudo-science realm that the Alien franchise is about), then the life-cycle you have described is perfectly logical.
the black goo and its mutagenic properties greatly mutated and evolved sperm cells, resulting in the actual sperm cell itself growing into a fetus, this contained its own eggs, which resulted in what could only be described as a octopus-type "face-hugger2 or body-hugger, it layed it's egg in the engineer, extrapolating the engineer's dna, resulting in the Deacon, because how it seems to work is, it keeps evolving through a number of organisms, until it results in something similar to the xenomorph; ofwhich the black-goo contains the source-code dna of the original xenomorph.
Also creature's bones have become fossilized over time, a good 100+ (maybe take a fair bit longer to sult in a mountain of sorts) where much more amount of black goo and the Deacon's death, could bring such a result as a mountain.
the black goo only a bit more of wild card then your simple formula implies.....
From what I have heard the Decon got remarried and is living in Cherry Hill NJ working as an accountant.
He just got divorced and lost the kids, sad...
@@jarhead3571 but he won his court case.. it's not all bad
Now I'm just imagining it wearing a little button up shirt, sitting awkwardly behind a counter. Twiddling his thumbs
Retired after Freddie died.
Some people just have the ability to make that break and move on
I would have preferred seeing the Deacon in action than just learning about how it mutated into a "giant living mountain". Seems like they just threw the creature away rather than give it a good story...
Really wish the Deacon would have appeared in Covenant. I personally love the design and think it looks badass, yet subtle.
Amen.
Yer man
Hopefully in alien FX
Yes it would have made more sense too.
I can't but feel sad for the Deacon becoming a mountain, who knows he might have become a pacifist if he didn't become a mountain, in the comics many people lived in him and he only offered protaction against the Xenomorph and the only time he nearly killed people is when they were inside of him with their ship and crashed into a vain that had acidic blood.
your voice fills my entire being with a sense of doom.
not sure if compliment
2:05 so....a deacon beacon?
Whoa i guess its a human bacon😂
DEACON BEACON
It's a deacon! It's a god damn freakin' deacon beacon!
John Deacon Beacon :P
Freakin Mountain Deacon Kevin Beacon!!!
I prefer that it just starved and died. it becoming a mountain is stupid lol
willznuts Same, but I hope they explain what it is
I was pretty let down as well.
willznuts I hate how far out the comics go with the aliens and the predators.
ghostdog2041 I mean if they kept stuff plausible and actually give a decent storyline things would be fine. But Prometheus and some of the other concepts in the Aliens films fucked shit up for no reason
That's just comics in general, they go left, like way, way, way left.
That sounds like quite a horrible fate for the deacon.
+ArchmageTech I know!
@Bunker Sieben I can relate. I too can enter a deep marijuana stasis and am currently growing my beard into a massive jive strip. I also am in no pain and neither is my beard.
Well just think about those creepin looking for that human beepin beacon not knowing they were entering a sleepin mountain deacon.
@@MrHReviews it was a cool looking creature non the less tho
so the deacon, turned into, a mountain???
Ever see the anime Akira? Similar concept.
Yeah, it's silly. I don't think it fits the R Scott lore much.
Buzzy Bear he lead tge catholic church
lol, how to defeat that thing? did it died in the end?
FUUUUSSSIIOOONNNN
Dude the Deacons concept as an adult is badass!!! it has the characteristics of a shark IMO idk how you guys see it... It's huge too!!
+Uriel Martinez yeah it does, and its hugely bad ass! Wish we could of seen it
this went too literal maybe "Big things have small beginnings" ? XD
+Nicolas Ahumada bahahah that's brilliant spot
Dan O Bannon detailed in his original alien79 outline that the xenomorph creature would get less aggressive as it grew older and when it reached maturity it would become an inteligent sentient lifeform.
What if the original derelict was not a bioweapon carrier...but a damn nursery :P
Explain.
Jesus... makes you wander just what other things the black goo is capable of... I thought what happened to Elden was sick, but this...
+Borbála Czinkos Crazy right?!
Marvel comics has these things called symbiotes. They are of EXTAORIDNARY power. The only logical endgame ensues.
It's good for lubricant ... if you know ...
revolting what was swimming around in that black goo. Reminded me of my local cafes coffee !
Some say black goo makes phenomenal lube
the Deacon becoming a mountain is kinda lame.
+Ernest Schultz yeah, its never confirmed just inferred
Mr H Reviews ok good
hes not a mountain, hes a vast being the size of a mountain, with no need to move, he has a massive living wing like shell around him which is meant to not only preserve energy and heat but to absorb external energy like sunlight and em radiation, its a self enclosed living biome that removes the need to move and allows a purely meditative life similar to the bhudda under the apple tree. he may even have a fully telepathic communication with the universe perhaps with other species or his own species the engineers.
he has removed the need of things and is possibly even entering a fully developed a fully new elevation of consciousness to understand the universe and the purpose of life, he is a dreamer that is dreaming, and it is quite possibly good enough that i can let go of my previous frustrations trying to understand it myself and being frustrated when others explained it to me that he doesnt need to move anymore as he can reach as far as he desires with his new form
Mr H Reviews so just a waste of a video like most lmao just a theory and a shit one at that
Wonders - It dying makes perfect sense as it was left on a planet with no life, or very little, and so had nothing to feed on.
I wonder how the black goo would affect a Xenomorph...
That's how you get an Engineer. ;)
In that same comic we get to see two types of Aliens: The Xenomorphs, and another kind of Alien that looks almost exactly as the Xenomorph but it is determined that they did not evolved from humans. Why I say this? because those same Aliens came out of the black goo lakes and they seemed pretty unharmed by it at that point. Maybe they literally evolved from the black goo and came out of it at that exact moment, who knows...
Ross Malagarie no its not
Liam Flaherty I know it was a yoke
You'd get a cat...perfect killing machine.
So said "black goo" is capable of forming all genetic life mutations? I can't wait to see what happens with Shaw in the new movie. Shit is about to get real!
+Darius Knox super real! Lol
Nick Fletcher. flashback ;)
It has already been leaked that Shaw IS in the movie @Nick Fletcher
+Nick Fletcher. No matter how Shaw is used or how long she's in it for, she's on the cast list for Covenant. She's in it, fact.
Mr H Reviews Shaw was determined! Like you said, they will clear up that bit of the story for us. I'm guessing her fate has something to do with David.
I sorta like the mountain end for the deacon, I honestly would have preferred of the deacon made a cameo in fire and stone by it being a silhouette looking at the servivers through a a cave
+ThePonyDalek agreed they could of handled it better :)
That Deacon was the best thing about Prometheus. Shame it was largely pointless in the end.
And turning into a mountain is just wierd.
good video too..I personally think Ridley Scott over complicated that movie instead of trying to bridge them ...for instance this is a pre alien movie yet they refer to money as credits like its way in the future yet Burke said that the terraforming facility had a substantial billion dollar value...just too many inconsistencies for a movie that should have just bridged the movies...well as usual Hollywood wants money..
+Laurence Aguillard I agree mate, however, o have some hope. Ridley and fox recently met to plan out a ten page document outlining guidelines and rules for the alien universe. So taking it pretty seriously now
Laurence Aguillard Scott doesn't regard camerons Aliens as canon in his movies
Charlie Peake yes he does lmao otherwise he wouldn't of said to tell the other director who was gonna make the 5th alien movie to put it on hold
Harambe yes he would because he wants to make his movies first scott doesn't give a shit about bloomkamps retcon fest Scott gave him the elbow and rightly so
the direction Cameron went was not The way Scott would of went
Charlie Peake Dude wtf Alien 5 would have been awesome, canning it was a mistake. Scott is dropping the ball the bit
I really enjoyed Fire and Stone and i'm still collecting Life and Death. I'm hoping they explore the mountain a bit more maybe find Elden. I didn't like the way Fire and Stone ended too many questions.
+Donttalktomydarkyoung agreed
same here.
This was extremely enlightening, I can't really access the comic universe of this series so I find your input and everything SO valuable, thank you Mr. H
Idk why people don’t like this. Like no one is EVER happy with anything. I actually think its fascinating that it became a mountain. After seeing the movie I did NOT expect that and think it’s crazy. I hope they one day make a movie exploring this. Would be amazing.
Question: What happened to the Deacon in Prometheus?
Answer:
He was forced to get a job.
This story is very interesting and indeed a nice conclusion to the deacon alien. It has just the right amount of suggestion and explanation to answer some important questions, but at the same time, it doesn't try to over-explain itself. In addition to that, it really shows how much potential the black goo actually has.
Love your analysis of Prometheus. I'm methodically going through each one of them. Regards, Goat from Ruthless Reviews.
Just sat here and watched a few of your videos on Alien theories and history, very informal backed up by relevent facts and content. It's hard to not be bored by hearing someone talking about their theories on ANYTHING, but you connect the dots in an immersive video!
Thank you!!
Subbed!
+Aaron MacDonald thank you! Really kind dude
I'm a fan of the Alien franchise. I really like the xenomorph, despite it's completely asinine reproduction and behavioral patterns (extreme aggression and parasitic reproduction are directly inhibiting each other). However, this is some next level of stupid. The amount of energy required to keep a mountain sized creature alive is ludicrous. If they are going this way, they might as well look into Warhammer40k Tyranid and StarCraft Zerg lore, they tried to explain building sized and bigger variants in a way that doesn't immediately kills the suspension of disbelief. If you look into it deeper then yeah, those fall apart too, but still, at least not "what do you want? AALIENS! how big aliens? BIIGGA AALIENS! okay, how about an alien mountain? AALIEN MUNTAIN, WAAAA".
SnlDrako Lmao good points
*clap clap claptrap clap*
Fl X Good point on the wasps, however, it is weakened by the fact you mentioned they don't exterminate they prey. Also, they are rather picky comparedto the aliens, since aliens attack anything larger than a facehugger, and bigger prey tend to have slower reproductive cycles. The size is what makes them unfeasible as parasitiods, because they can only hunt fairly big game.
Also, if you know about a mukticellular animal bigger than a blue whale, let me know. Last I checked, that was the biggest, and it would be an appetizer at best for that mountain. However, I did hear about a massive fungus reaching across states in the USA somewhere.
SnlDrako idk if what I'm thinking of correlates with your idea but I remember reading about different tree species that are thousands of years old and are linked together spanning great distances reminding me of the avatar movie.
Aaron Day correlates how?
the black goo effect is pretty inconsistent overall. We see at the beginning of the movie that it rapidly dissolve the Engineer's body and turning his DNA to be building blocks of human DNA, then we see it mutates the worm to cobra like creatures, infecting what-his-name's body and made infertile woman pregnant with Alien fetus, etc. And now turning Alien to Lovecraftian monster? There's so many random effects of the black goo it's borders on lazy writing. Any mutation can be blamed on that thing.
Yea I always felt like the effects of the black goo were all over the place. The deacons life cycle was way too complicated for it to be so easily accepted. Like you need the black goo to infect someone/thing and then that thing has to impregnate someone/thing and then the squid monster has to impregnate AGAIN?
The goo that the engineers use to seed life is different goo than the black goo that mutates aliens.
I've heard others refer to the life seeding go as golden goo.
The goo at the beginning isn't the black goo. Watch it again, it's gold. The gold goo is blood from the Engineer's God and is how they create life. But they ran out of blood, so they tried to synthesize it, and instead made the black goo. It was so destructive that they decided to use it as a weapon instead of a way of creating. It's not lazy writing, it's shareholders refusing to allow certain aspects into the movie, so we're left confused, until we read the original script.
Lazy shit writing mistaken for “ genius” by the desperate fans lol
@@BeverlyHighland Yeah and If I’m correct, I think I heard or imagined that their god (or supreme creator) had a look that is similar of the Alien’s, explaining the Alien like figure art inside the engineer ship. Still not explaining exactly why in the first Alien movie there’s Aliens eggs inside the engineer ship they found tho….except if it’s a ship located the same planet that the movie Prometheus and (the fire&stones and life&death )comics happened , lv223 I think which could explain maybe but it looks like there’s still many plot holes , mostly because of Alien covenant, that movie wasted a lot of potential, they can still fix what’s left of the story but will they?…🤔
Your voice makes me fall asleep.
thanks for that..... i think
Mr H Reviews it's professional
Mr H Reviews your voice makes me think of a mix between Alan Rickman and Jemaine Clement
john smith that is so spot on, can't get it out of my head now lol.
Mario Moreno I think he sounds like a young James Earl Jones.
It's just an incredible theory that the Deacon turn into a mountain I would have never guessed that it's probably that diverse out there in Space too
The Deacon is clearly related to the Xenomorpth
assassinsknight You don't say???
I did wonder what happened to that critter.
Hail the alienmorph
The deacon cried as the others left as he only wanted a hug, but he couldn't catch up with them in time after its birth. Liak if u cry everytiem.
loving all there videos man.
I thought it was Ridley that didn't want an Alien in Prometheus. I think its likely that the decon is a cousin of the Xenomorphs.
Deacon is so cute. I want to hug him/her :3
Good way to commit suicide
cookeycat. He is so cuteeeeee!!!!😀😀😀😀😍😍😍
Let us know how it works out for you......wait
If you can communicate with it you be fine
cookeycat you could just say it
I love that the black goo creates all kind of different Alien organisms! The world of AVP is aweosme, so much stuff to explore :D
A decons level of understanding things must be extraordinary cuz it's host was an engineer! Maybe he figured out how his surroundings work, he adapted to different food, then after years of wandering he became self conscious 'who am i?' or 'what am i' that would be so freaking cool 😭😂
Given the recent events in Covenant and their plot direction;
David has 2000 colonists to experiment with but he only has 2 ebryonic face huggers.
He will reverse course and take the Covenant back to LV 223.
There is black goo there and presumably more of superior Engineer spacecraft.
His plan will be to perfect the xeno species, create eggs, and set off toward Earth to destroy humanity by replacing it literally with his perfect xenos.
Like Gollum in LOTR however, the long forgotten Deacon still has a part to play..
The sweet irony of David in his perceived perfection being brought down by his own actions long ago.
Awakening must end with the juggernaut crashed on lv426 with David's eggs aboard and possibly a biomechanical version of David himself as the chest bursted space jockey.
Of course there will be another crew of bumbling humans and possibly engineers out for revenge in the interim.
This last bit was forshadowed when in prologues David "learned of their way" and is seen inspecting a row of engineer space suits.
Perhaps David realizes that his android form is weak, head comes off easily, Walter loses arm etc.
Natural to assume David would create himself a new form using bio mechanical elements.
Matthew Edwards man... just man... this is perfect
Matthew Edwards This really makes sense, man
If u get close enough u can feed it hot dogs. It loves loaded hot dogs lol
+Nick Mattio baha
Very cool information!!! Thank you for this!!
Very interesting video. Thanks for that!!! I adore the Alien franchise. I hope we will see Deacon in the future Alien/Prometheus films
I often leave my thoughts, but I don't know why.
The deacon was a cool idea and when I first saw it, I assumed it was the first creature that would (after after spell with some goo) become the first queen.
+onlyonewhyphy I encourage all comments dude! I read them all! Can't always reply! Its a thought everyone had though, this is an unconfirmed end to the deacon, things can always be written around
grew up alone on that planet until it died from a lonely heart. the end
+David Quezada (Tallestdavid) lol
I don't know why but I really like listening to your voice xD. It's just so deep and calming.
Interesting concept... mega growth times 100 000. Much merit in comics and sometimes truly great writing. I never discount graphic illustrated novels and have collected them for years. Great video Mr H.
This is what i wanna know about the most. Is the comic canon? I really wanna see the Deacon as a deadly creature with a more developed intelligence than the xenomorphs. Mutating into a landmass is cool, but i think they can do more. The deacon should have some sort of significance because it came from an engineer. It should be special. And if Elizabeth shaw is in this next film the deacon should be too.
originally fox had stated that the comics were canon to the movies..... thats all we know. and up until now, they havent really said much else past it. so its super difficult to say buddy
The Deacon should be an Alien Queen
what about this: The deacon took a ship and followed shawn and david, and in convenant arrives to the planet of the engineers to protect shawn because she is his mother but will be too late then it will be enraged and it will destroy everything that exists in the planet. At the end the deacon is the only one who can beat alien mutations. god deacon LOL
+ios uri lol!
ios uri technically shawn is his Grandmother
Good call lol
Misfit79Anomaly87 *Alien 4 flashbacks kicks in*
I prefer your idea over the Mountain concept!
That's freaking rad, man! Inside the vein...brilliant!!!
Our Church Deacon is taking catechists, including my wife, out to dinner tonight; that brought me to this video.
Mr h don't you think avp would have been better had the main character left with them at the end and the sequel was about her hunting with them...like the lady from the books
+Laurence Aguillard agreed dude!
If you dye the black goo green, it'll make ninja turtles.
I personally just go with the Xenomorphs have existed for a long ass time and the engineers have basically weaponized their genetic code
Man your voice is perfect for this types of videos!
Honestly the deacon should have become an advanced xeno being of a bigger inteligence than the classic and of more strenght the all the other
Also....black lives matter
@@Mx11999 ?????
Mr H you r the Man.. 👍👍
Love these little side stories keeping the alien and predator worlds alive...
The possibilities are endless with the "Aliens" and black Goo.. No wonder wayland yutany group are so hellbent on sacrificing people to get a hold of them.. LoL
Love your videos bro..
+Andy J Lovell thank you Andy! Glad you liked it man :)
this theory is very interesting. but I think it stowed away on the ship with Shaw and David. the Deacon was a very cool work of art and coming out of Shaw and then through the engineer it might also be very intelligent and aware.
I liked the Deacon... I got goosebumps when it opened its mouth and revealed its goblin shark like jaws! I kinda hope that in Awakening or another sequel, she will have a bigger role in the franchise.
Do a series on the fire and stone comics
+Thee Pope getting there :)
Do we know for sure if the mural was showing an actual xenomorph? I'm just wondering because to me, unless I'm viewing it wrong, looks more like the Deacon. I think it's the shape of the head, like if it was looking down and looks more pointed at the top/back of the head. Anyone else think so?
At least we're two
But the deacon itself is a Xenomorph but a hybrid
I thought the same
@@Sin1s_ter The Deacon isn't a xenomorph goddamnit. Its just a similar alien that spawn from an engineer who was impregnated by a human-alien hybrid "facehugger" called the trilobite.
The alien on the mural looks more like the Neomorph rather than the Xeno or Deacon.
@@Reader999 an xenomorph is an type of an alien
A Deacon is a type of alien
Every species that had morph in it is a alien
The alien is a species
The Xenomorph is a type of an alien
I know what exactly happened to the Deacon. He grew up, got a girlfriend, went to college, got a decent paying job and went on to get married. Had a couple kids and retired happily with an excellent pension.
Like ur videos. Like learning some of the backstory behind things i didn't know. Always liked the predator comics when i was a kid.
i still think the decon got on bord the juggernaut with david and shaw
Seeing this, I finally have an idea why the Engineers have a sort of relation to the Xenomorphs.
I've noticed in sites that Prometheus is the closest thing to HP Lovecrafts "Mountain of Madness". Well, what if the story of Lovecraft's did actually happened for real. It didn't took place on Earth but on another planet. Possibly the story was based on the actual events of the Engineers discovering the Xenomorph Hiveworld and whatever happened caused the Engineers to either driving the m insane or blindly worshipped the Xenos. The Engineers created the Black Goo to act as a tribute to their new Gods. What's your opinion here?
Moving on Mr H, I was wondering if you do the next AVP Underworld, you and the others could discuss about potential spin offs. We have seen other aliens in Predators and since Alien had a spin off for the Engineers, what do you think?
To me, I would love for FOX to do a River Ghost Spin off. My take would be a psychological horror thriller. Army Rangers intercept a disturbance only to encounter the River Ghosts. Unlike the one in Predators, these River Ghosts are faster due to the one in Predators malnourished and exhausted and the bugs on their bodies acted as some sort of hallucinogen. Like I said, what are your thoughts about it?
Thanks for the video. Not a big fan of the mountain idea. I feel its a bit farfetched considering what we saw in Alien Covenant. Though the image we see in Prometheus of the Zenomorph deserves more explaining, the idea that the engineer weapon could evolve to something like that wouldn't justifying having the black goo at all.
I need to read that series again. I didn't fully clue in.
Weird concept. So silly this happens without nutrients. I mean, what does it eat? I feel like these writers haven't even taken one biology class. The series is interesting, but a mountain? You know how much energy you would need to support something like that? 7000 pound elephants need hundreds of pounds of food a week to survive, imagine something that weights 10,000,000,000+ tons...
Do you even watch Alien?... A Chestburster forms into a full grown xenomorph in less than an hour... with no food source...
seems like Prometheus was a great movie edited down to a discombobulated mess, good job holly weird,if covenant doesn't give some answers I for 1 am completely done with all this BS
i think it will deliver :)
I hope so
Michael Fassbender rescued that movie from being another Alien 3 or 4!
Prometheus was fine as it was, the reason they left so many questions unanswered was because they were setting up for a trilogy, the story we now have since Covenant is a discombobulated mess and I feel will only get worse when Awakening arrives, too many fans complained that there were no aliens and it was set in the alien universe, so what did we get? Aliens thrown in for the sake of it.
David Bevan it sucked after they edited it down for theatrical release only to release a Directors cut blue ray,,,forget that garbage you paid good money to see at the theatrr, this is the real film on blue ray,,
Most Perfeckt introducktion to a video i have ever seen. Impressive.
I'd like to think it mutated into Rodney Dangerfield and lived out it's days doing stand up comedy on Uranus.
Just finished reading fire and stone complete- can't believe they didn't explorer the mountain further although two whole comics amp it around the deacon and end in anti climactic fashion. :/ cause they didn't want squeals to Prometheus movie screwing up.
Really comics books and video games provide more substance and entertainment than movies.
agreed!!! its a shame fox didnt get their shit together and direct the comic in the way they wanted it to go.
Agreed, thats how I felt reading it too. They are having a problem of maintaining their cannon and continuity between all the media outlets on content from the Extend universe. Im hoping the new movie will work to tie everything together and set some standards. I know this is what Disney did when it acquired the Star Wars IP from Lucas Arts. They threw out almost everything previously written (comics, books, and games) in an effort to bring things back together. And get everything tied in to the same universe and ditch stuff that used to be cannon that was shit.
Never heard of that story! sounds crazy and awesome! ;D i'd like to think that the Deacon alien grew to adult size and then waited for new prey to land on the planet. I wonder how big it would have grown to be, since it came from an engineer host? also leaves the question... what is the life span of a xenomorph? hundreds of years?
+KoRnFoReVeR23 the concept art for adult deacon is insane man
Oh wow! i'd love to see that concept art!
In the original alien movie the xeno died in like a week at maximum and it wasn't exactly stated what was the reason but 1 of the theories is it died from old age,it was kinda injured doe but i dont think it was injured heavy enough to die,but anyways xeno from original alien was very different cannon wise from xeno we know today so its all speculations
KoRnFoReVeR23 the life span is 1000 years just like predators
As for the existence xenomorphs are usually killed off before the age is even completed
They have a low alt of death meaning they are killed off by (Predators)
(fighting each other if they want something to themselves)
(humans)
They even sometimes starve considering the partner they work with is territorial about making things about himself/herself
The deacon was actually killed caused it didn't get anything from the planet no food no social reaction with other xenomorphs and curled up and died as time passed the land covered by the land
i did like it ties up things nicely they need more explanations like this
Well, they've been playing it off like the Goo is an accelerator...so, I wish the Deacon snuck aboard Shaw n David's escape craft-leading to Covenant. Not hard to create, they really dropped the ball haha but we all know this...great vid, homie!
I think the black goo is engineer's attempt to recreate the xenomorph, and the deacon is the closest thing they get.
Oddly I feel these type of story's as well as AvP story's be better off as CG movies like Resident Evil, stuck to source material looked decent may not win awards but didn't piss the fans off either
+Omnibune agreed man
I love to seen decon in action.
Think about it .
Alien come out from engineer.
He is soo badass
I loved the neomorph 💯
So the Deacon basically started turning into Galactus? I'm assuming it's consuming the planet to survive now. Watch him come back as a huge, planet sized world eater floating through space absorbing everything it can.
I'm not crazy about the living mountain theory. I always thought the Deacon either died of starvation or went into a hibernation until it can be written into a future movie. Also, maybe I missed it but I never hear anyone asking what happened to the trilobite. If it's like a typical facehugger then we can assume it died after impregnating the engineer. But then the question becomes why would it need to grow so huge just to die after it's one purpose?
+glen moss it simply died post impregnation. It likely grew so huge due to a combination of the atmosphere it was born in and how it was conceived
I did not like how inferior and "cute" the Deacon looked.
chestbursters are also small and "cute", the deacon was just a huge version of the chestburster, it would turn more alienlike as it grew older
1:36 When did Commander Riker on the right find his way into the Aliens-Predator universe? Is this one of those Star Trek episodes when the Enterprise gets caught in a wormhole and the crew find themselves in an alternate universe?
My God!! That would have been absolutely AMAZING!! Particularly as Riker and Picard already did away with that Alien parasite that was infecting all of star fleet, including that Admiral that they had aboard the Enterprise. They blasted the living SHIT out of that thing!! Season 1. I've forgotten the title, but it was a fantastic episode.
good video sir i have not read this comic but going by your comments it sound,s almost lovecraft which i never a bad thing .three thumbs up.
its really good man! you can pick up a hard back copy of the entire fire and stone collection from amazon, very good value. a true collectors item
it killed everything on the planet and then starved to death lol
This is why I keep telling people, these things are not fuckin; intelligent and they're not the perfect organism. They're super perfect at murdering shit and eating everything in sight before then asking questions later about where the next meal is coming from. They also have a problem figuring out that the more of them there are, the scarcer the food supply will be, but just like the fuckwits they are, they keep making copies of themselves like the fucking suicidal drones they are. And yet I still have to argue with people who keep ramming the company line at me.......perfect organism my arse, it just takes some critical thinking and to not be robotically programmed into repeating the marketing spiel. You seem to be one of the few that get it. They eat everything they see and then they fucking starve all while creating more of themselves thats about the size of it.........if I have to read one more person telling me how intelligent and alpha these fucks are I'm gonna puke.
I'm sorry, but that's stupid. I better not see that on screen.
+thtkidfrmvab you won't,that's more than likely why they put it in a comic lkl
My idea for a third alien covenant/prometheus movie is as follows:
The engineers are the main characters in the movie and comes to the planet that was in the Prometheus movie.
There they find Weyland inside the crashed spaceship. They have a blue elixir which they empty all over him and bring him to life.
But while doing this the Deacon from the Prometheus movie sneaks into their spaceship and hide it self in one of the ventilation chambers.
In the next part they arrive at the planet from alien covenant and find the other robot(Walter) who is david's twin. The engineers use the blue elixir and repairs him.
Once awaken the engineers and Weyland get to know all the horrible things that David has done, and weyland says "we have to stop David" .
They set course for origae. When they arrive, they scans all the planet, and finds the planet is full of hostile organisms except
on a high mountain where they discover that there are humans inside a cave.
Inside the cave they meet a herd of children, who tell that when they had lived on the planet for over ten years,
they began to be attacked by Xenomorphs and all the adults died or were turned into these creatures.
There were also great giants developed by someone the children calls David.
The engineers get ready to wipe out all the Xenomorphs that David has created, but the great giants manage to escape with one of the engineers' spaceships.
The engineers and Weyland hunts the spaceship and manage to force the spaceship down on the planet lv426.Where it start sending a distress signal.
The engineers return to Origae to find David, but discover that he has escaped.
In the last part we see David arriving and meeting an unknown alien species
on a tropical like planet.
At the same time Nostromo leaves a nearby planet with the cargo of ore.
But when he and the unknown aliens have left the spaceship, the deacon slips out of the ship and is seen running toward the nearest settlement.
And that makes the cliffhanger that ends the third movie.
The ending movie could have a duration about five hours ?

The graphic novel you mention goes on too far of a stretch. The creature should have died from dehydration/starvation.
potentially. it isn't confirmed anyway, it is inferred that it is the deacon. thats all
Does it have to? There was obviously indigenous life forms and a little water on that planet. Or was the Vagina Cobra not a life form what Fifield and Millburn encountered? And What would have stopped the Deacon to feed on it?
If we think that the Xenomorph and the deacon have something in common, we can infer it would be the survival traits. Given that option, Xenomorphs don't need food or water.
thanks man! great voice!
Great vid!
Love this stuff 👍
I'm perfectly fine with the deacon wandering off and then dying. It was tacked onto the end of "Prometheus" as an afterthought. Not to mention that since Ridley Scott rejects the universe where Aliens and Predators battle, he's going to resist the rest of the comic book universe as well.
Thanks I will look for this comic.

Magnificent findings. God bless
The idea that it became a mountain... is actually terryfying
Wow these Alien/Prometheis comcepts and story archs have endless interesting plot points right behind if not surpassing even those of starwars and Halo
I liked the original Alien because the life-cycle; egg -> facehugger -> chestburster -> xenomorph, was bizarre, but made sense, and was easy to understand, but also didn't necessarily have to be explained, the audience could understand it just by watching the first film.
The 'black goo' and all its effects just seems so complicated, and doesn't feel like it makes natural sense.
The Deacon should have gone into a form of stasis - coming back to life once other organisms (suitable for food or a source of gestating additional xenomorph/eggs/trilobytes or whatever it needed to perpetuate the species) presented itself.
