So I'm always confused when I hear people say that Jesus was white, because that is improbable. Jesus was able to easily disappear into a crowd and not able to be picked out from it, also according to the Bible, which is further evidence that by appearances he was a typical Jewish man for those times.

As a boat builder Floki would have had a fairly high place in their society! I've always felt like they never really showed that!

Probably previous' jarl had his own boat builder, just mere craftsman, while Floki was a genius.

he's the underrated boat builder. despite the praises of Ragnar claiming Floki as the best the show never really focused on his place on the social ladder but they did focus on Floki himself going from simple boat builder to leader of a new village and speaker of the gods

Anonymous I get what you mean! I always felt drawn to this culture from an early age. My cousin and I would even sneak off with my Uncles ax and take turns throwing it at stumps or whatever targets we found in the woods. Found some connections on my Dad's family but got a bit of a shock when I had me DNA test done. Much bigger percentage on my Maternal line. Had not found that in the family tree but not long after there were some documents that went on line that let me push back through a road block. I don't know the percentage on my Dad's side yet but around 18% on my Maternal and 17% Celtic! Guess Bobbie and I might have been channeling some of our genetic memory as kids!

As a kid, I always wondered about who my ancestors were and where they came from......my mother, born on the coast of eastern Scotland, named me "Scott" to make sure I never forgot my "Scots" heritage.......I also wondered about my moustache growing in red.....? My mother had bright red hair and told me that the red hair was from her side of the family.....and I believed her. My father (born in western Canada) served in the RCAF during the Second World War, in the Shetland Islands and spoke about the people there being of "Norse" ancestry, many with red hair.....later my mother told me of a Scottish DNA project called "Blood of the Vikings" establishing root origins in genealogy for those who may be of Norse descendancy......I submitted my DNA and a month after doing so, received the results of my DNA tests.....which disclosed that YES, I was of an 87% Norse, Scandinavian origin (western Norway).......!

We all miss him bro... i can only imagine when real life Ragnar died and all nordic people got news about it... how sad it was...
no wonder why so many of them went to avenge him... its a way of life, after him his sons time came, later thier sons and so on, sadly with years real warriors became rare, weak leaders too christianity and viking era ended... and look at modern scandinavia today, invaded by muslims and other emigrants, ruled by weakllings, lgbt's, feminists and foreigners... not just nordic people but most of europe must awake find old gods and fight for what is real and matters.

Floki is a great warrior. His intelligent and loyalty helps Ragnar a lot and never betray Ragnar except for killing Athelstan by his faith. He is a truely good friend. I like this character and I think he deserves better.
