- Since I've seen many cartubers do similar videos where they bring their unusual niche cars to Carmax or a dealer for a cash offer, I try something similar and the results may surprise you. I for one, was disappointed.
Crown Vic Taxi's are iconic and need to be preserved.

@@SCARYFALCON2 exactly, and automakers know this, the push to electric cars is to make them even more disposable than they already are, has very little to do with the environment. In fact, they are still pretty bad for the planet overall because of all of the strip mining overseas (A lot of which is slave labor btw) and the machines used to drill the materials are run on fossil fuels. The electricity used to run them is also mostly generated by fossil fuels.
Battery cars are the future like it or not.
They'll give you 500 trade in. Come back next week and the crown Vic will be 6500

I live in the UK. I'd happily pay up to $6,000 for a car like that. Restore it, look after it and you could easily sell it here for $16,000. My 2009 Warminster PD CVPI was worth $2,000 and here in the UK today I could sell it for $12,000. I have plans to fully restore the car this summer. Would love to own an authentic NY Taxi.

I haven't even looked up prices for used crown Vics so totally uneducated, lets say ummm..... $1,000? I wanna say $500, but don't wanna be wrong and insulting.. I know its worth at least $5000 to enthusiasts, but probably a dealer isn't gonna have that in mind.
ok post salesman reaction: yeah, I figured he wouldn't even take a trade in.. most dealers won't look at cars over 100,000 miles. but like you said, most viewers would say to walk out after they asked how old you were.. I've read reviews of the Toyota of bay ridge dealer on google and some reviews said the same thing about them too. Is this how they train salesmen now? is it like some sort of good tactic they use to insult the buyer so that they feel the need to impress the salesman? if it is, that's some messed up school of business right there.
The Vic is great, but new Ford's are crap. I know because I have a 2022. Garbage.

The only way I'd get an EV: Ford brings back the Crown Vics, and keep the exterior body shape from the 1998-2012 models, like shown in this clip. They can upgrade the textures of the head and tail lights a little bit. It wouldn't really look too old in my opinion.
Otherwise, I hope the biofuel, used cooking oil, and e-fuels do something to save these cars by 2050, if we need to cut away from the fossil fuels. It's a must.
