Additional tips for elwono and any other future Techies players. If you place Remote Mines first and then stack the Proximity and Stasis on it's portrait, you will always get perfect stacks. The Detonate Mines ability is useful, but not usable when stunned/silenced so you should try to get used to box selecting or control group selecting your Remote Mine stacks and detonating with Q as soon as possible to avoid really frustrating moments. If you're stunned and you use the Detonate ability, it will detonate them once you're out of stun which could waste the mines. Figure out where the blind spots are at Rosh pit when you can too.
True-true. Ain't no bigger disappointment when you stacked mines but because you placed Stasis+Red first - it was in one place - and Green mines due to having a bit bigger model ended up a little to the left because of a tree nearby... And then someone got ensnared by stasis trap... ON THE RIGHT... And you can't blow them up because they are out of explosion range. NRRGH THE FRUSTRATION IS UNREAL.
So yeah... Do yourself a solid and start stacking mines with Green ones.
@@Ghostel3591 it does not matter that they are not pinpoint stacked, so long as you stack them using icon you will always hit the target. Blue and reds have a collision size of 8 and greens of 24, which means that they will be maximum 8 units further away from the explosion. Given that greens have an explosion size of 425 compared to blues and reds of 400 you will always hit your target
@@_inko931 It means that when you place mines near trees they'll be moved 16 units to other side from the center of Red explosion. If we consider that target comes in from exactly other side to Green's movement due to dislocation...
You'll be screwed because of explosions radius (425 / 2 - 212.5) being not big enough to cover 16 units of movement created due to Green's placement error which moved it in this case exactly the other way from incoming target because we have in this case:
- Red explosion Radius - 200 units
- Green explosion Radius - 212.5 units - BUT this explosions is moved 16 units away from the target - meaning explosion will cover only 196.5 units in that direction...
Meaning in some cases it DOESN'T reach target due to slim safety space from Green Explosion created on one side.
This is exactly why when you place mines close to the trees with the intention of trapping someone on other side - and Green mines get moved deeper into the forest due to error placement - you'll get situations where target triggered Stasis trap and Red mine but was juuuuuust far enough to avoid Green mine explosion.
@@Ghostel3591 the explosion radius is 400 and 425 with a diameter of respectively 800 and 850. Your math is correct but accounts for half the radius

Now this is playing Techies smart. One of the most important aspects of DotA is map control and Techies' bread and butter is pure map control. Techies that mine the lanes waiting for the errant hero kill is no longer in fashion, and should really only be done when you're really desperate.

Eh, that one isn't that bad he was waiting and baiting the enemies spells first. Their team was all soft commiting too they can't hard commit there. I mean his itemization were so dumb but he wasn't that dumb in teamfight he's ancient he knows some stuffs. I really don't think he can kill lion or sniper if he jumped on them at that moment probably got killed himself. Like he jump say lion and counterspell. Lion doesn't get baited and use any spells until it wears off 1.2 sec later he got hexed, stunned, fingered while being hitted by sniper and other nearby enemies. At least that's my view as a divine feel free to say otherwise especially if you're immortal or something I don't mind being wrong because that means I will learn something right.

@@apifunctions1095 he was stupid especially his items absolutely grieving. I never commended his itemizations. I was replying to this guy saying am was not doing anything in this fight running around is very wrong. As what I said his team fight given the item he had and how he wasn't hard commit and know that he can tank a few hits and baiting is not what a lower MMR player understands. Lower MMR players usually can only hide and then jump hard commit right away.
Watch most recent Jenkins' videos where he talked how people are flaming pro players saying something like passive skill or something when in reality sometimes holding skill is the right thing to do because by saving it you prevent enemies from doing anything. In this case lion must hold his skills to save sniper and in which case am hoping that lion would cast his spells even on him first. That's why Am was walking around there. Am could potentially even outplay with shield when jumped but in the end lion didn't took the bait.
@@apifunctions1095 of course if he had abyssal instead of fucking maelstrom. He could abyssal lion and kill him right away. Problem with bkb before abyssal is that he can still get kited if lion has force glimmer am would have a hard time finishing lion quick enough.

I was playing techies like a month ago and placed an observer in the Dire top forest. Their spectre was non-stop farming here from the beginning for some reason and was always on low up (even died one time to the creeps). I managed to kill her 2 times with the blast off. lol

Yup last time i won in 135mnt with move all 10 red mines in front of my ancient in one spot. My game crashed because of the effects impact and when I returned I won 👍🏼

No way am was not an account buyer. His team was camping radiant mid, radiant was going crazy trying to clear our their mid lane, meanwhile am is farming dire jungle. He was the worst. Then later he claimed he made space lol

someone did this in my ranked it was painful. To be more accurate someone did something similar the first time and won, the second time they did exactly as you and rushed dagon, kept getting rushed by the silencer and fed him.
