Well just a thought with the 36" most sedan rear glass are 48"s wide and you can split the 36" to get two pieces of 18" for the doors. So then I'd say around 10ft per sedan so then maybe 9 sedans to be safe out of one 36" roll. The 24" I use for truck front matches, wastes to much film doing car windows with it. I hope that makes sense?
Well if you cut the 40" in half you can do the roll ups with the 20"s but you'll still need enough for the rear glass. I think you'll need at least 15' of film and that's with no problems to redo.
Hey man, I’m debating buying a 28” plotter for 24” rolls. Do you think that would cover most SUV rear windows? I don’t mind doing sedans with 36” and hand cutting those or windshields but would like to start plotting my sides and SUV rears if you think a 24” would cover most. Thanks
I came across ydour channel today. New subscriber. I have a question. I bought tint today. The roll size is 20x 25... Will this be enough for Toyota Camry. Thanks in advance.
It will be enough for the sides but the rear window is taller than 20 inches. You'd need a 36" to cover the whole back window or you can splice the 20" to make it fit.
I just bought two rolls of 20” x 10’ that I plan on putting all all windows of my 2019 Honda Civic Sedan. Will it be enough and will it be wide enough for the windshield and rear window?
I'm sure you can tell by just looking at the Windshield and Back glass it's taller than 20"s? I explained in the video, get a 36" and that will cover rear Glass and split that in half for the sides. 👍🏾
Some companies you have to buy so that much a year.. You also have to touch have a business license or sellers permit to get accounts with the companies.
Some people use Lexen... There are some good Facebook groups that can help. Tons of good films out there. Find a brand no one in your area uses to set yourself apart from them. I don't like to about brands since it's a personal preference to bed honest.
Well I guess it depends on where you are. I usually suggest 50% but it will look kinda dark. If you have a good chance of being pulled and cops are bad in your area maybe do 70%. It will still help.

@@FadeToBlackLLC yeah makes sense. What do you suggest for marketing? Do you think $1000 per month towards paid advertisement would be enough to generate a lot of leads? Obviously so long as you can provide good work as well and have a good reputation

Find a car and go around and measure some of the glass and that will give you can idea when you do the math on how much you can do. It's hard to explain but 6" is basically a set of front windows on a truck. They are about 35"s wide and 22"s tall. A sedan is around 15' length and 36" high on the back window. So like I said, buy the rolls based on what you do the most in your area and then have some other stuff to get other jobs done.
I deal with lexen bc of the price of rolls being the cheapest and best quality i could find. They do not sell a 60". Do u have any vendors that u could point me in the right direction where i can get a 60" cut to 36" and 24" that would be cost effective for a very small (as of right now) business? Thanx in advance my bro
Apprecitate you watching. I say most sedans sides and rear take about 14 ft. and most sets of fronts are around 6 ft. So you can do the math on that and get an idea a what you can get out of a roll.
I think people ask this question every other day. I use different brands for various reasons. I want to make a video about it soon. I usually use SolarFX and Flexfilm for my main lines.
Measure the glass around the car see how much it comes out to be and go from there. You can probably use a 36" roll like I mentioned in the video and get the doors out of it and a whole piece for the rear glass. I don't know how much film you'll need for that Specific car but it's not hard to figure out. 👍🏾
Measure the doors from left to right depending on what type of car it is. Add that up and you can see how much you might use. Now there are some variables but that will help you get started.
So a couple questions. 1. Where do I get the tint from? 2. What is the best tint to start off with and %’s? 3. Do the manufactures cut it or do we have to cut it like that ourselves?
Find a tint supplier close to you so you don't need to wait a week to get it. People like the brands for different reasons. I've used Tint Club and Flexfilm for years (Google). You have to see what %s is popular in your areas. Here it's 20% for cars and trucks/SUVs. When you find a website look on there and they will tell you sizes. Not sure if you watched the vide but I explain that. Good luck.
Fade To Black LLC Thanks! I’m brand new to tinting. I lost my job due to covid 19 (Governor shut my work down) and i decided to learn a whole new trade, one that I learn and be my own boss, so I went with tinting windows. I’m still waiting for my tools and film to arrive in the mail. Any advice for a rookie? I love your videos by the way, I hope one day to be at your level and possess your knowledge.
I ordered a 40' by 100' Then they have an option 60' cut , I chose like you said 24/36' Now what happens to my original 40'? Will it become 40'by 40' when the 60' is cut from it? Is that how it works?
You usually get one cut out of a 60" (inch) x 100 ft roll. So if you cut that 24" you'll have 36" left over both rolls are still 100ft of film. You only cut out of the height, not the length. Hopefully that makes sense?
@@FadeToBlackLLC own really?! Thats cool. Because I ordered a 40 by 100! WITH a 60' cut option of 24/36! (No price difference) That means I will get a 24 by 100 and a 36 by 100?! I guess the 60 inch cut of 24/36 bypasses the initial 40 inch 😂
@@heatncool yes you'll get two rolls both 100ft long by whatever cut you choose. I like the 24" because like I said I do a lot of front matches and that can be used for those and cars with the 36". Wednesday I'll be streaming live and we can talk more about it if you catch the stream at 8pm Central time.
@@FadeToBlackLLC ok. I'm just confused because I can get a roll 24/36 for $119 or $244 One is from 20 by 100 and the other is 40 by 100. I guess I will order 20/100 with 60 inch cut option and come out with a 24/36 at $119!
I wouldn’t suggest that. Most shops have a brandthey already use. That’s like bringing sand to a beach. Go to a shop and ask what they use and pick a line. They are there to help you 👍🏾

I don't cut any myself. I usually buy them in the size of need and just deal with it.
What brands do you use and what websites do you order from?
I use SolarFX, Flexfilm and Tint Club, Llumar Suntek. Various brands for various reasons. You can Google the websites. Thanks
Check out Tint Club and Flexfilm online. You can order from the websites.
@@FadeToBlackLLC thanx again for all the help my bro.. jus got my knife i ordered from ur amazon page. Hope that helps u a little.
How long will a 100 yard roll last ? Want to practice tinting tired of paying for my tint 🤣 new subscriber btw love the tips !
Apprecitate you watching. I say most sedans sides and rear take about 14 ft. and most sets of fronts are around 6 ft. So you can do the math on that and get an idea a what you can get out of a roll.
Do you have a link to where you get your tint?
I think people ask this question every other day.
I use different brands for various reasons. I want to make a video about it soon.
I usually use SolarFX and Flexfilm for my main lines.
Hey quick question can I tint 2 front windows of a tahoe with 36x5?
Yes you'll have to run the roll from Top of the top door to the the Bottom.
You won't be able to roll from left to right because it won't be enough.
@@FadeToBlackLLC thx👍🏼
i have 40” 100ft tint is it enough for 5 car (corlla) ?
Measure the glass around the car see how much it comes out to be and go from there. You can probably use a 36" roll like I mentioned in the video and get the doors out of it and a whole piece for the rear glass.
I don't know how much film you'll need for that Specific car but it's not hard to figure out. 👍🏾
Whats a good affordable manufacturer i should get my rolls from ? Im a beginner tinter in Atlanta
Try Tint Club online
Lexen is a good quality roll and reasonably priced. That is what i been using.
i want to tint my car's window but idk where to buy the tint flims :(
Google Tint Club or Flexfilm and you can order online.
How much cars can you do with a 50 ft roll ?
Good luck.
Hey bro what is a good vinyl cutter for tint
Some are using the USCutters and getting good results. Some like Roland or Graphtecs are more expensive.
I just got a 36x100 roll of 20% to practice with.
There you going man!
Can you tint door windows with 40x100 roll ?
Yes a car window is less than 18"s high so you can get two out of a 40" pull.
I ordered a 40' by 100'
Then they have an option 60' cut , I chose like you said 24/36'
Now what happens to my original 40'? Will it become 40'by 40' when the 60' is cut from it? Is that how it works?
You usually get one cut out of a 60" (inch) x 100 ft roll. So if you cut that 24" you'll have 36" left over both rolls are still 100ft of film. You only cut out of the height, not the length. Hopefully that makes sense?
@@FadeToBlackLLC own really?! Thats cool. Because I ordered a 40 by 100!
WITH a 60' cut option of 24/36! (No price difference)
That means I will get a 24 by 100 and a 36 by 100?!
I guess the 60 inch cut of 24/36 bypasses the initial 40 inch 😂
@@FadeToBlackLLC im ordering from flexfilm
@@heatncool yes you'll get two rolls both 100ft long by whatever cut you choose. I like the 24" because like I said I do a lot of front matches and that can be used for those and cars with the 36".
Wednesday I'll be streaming live and we can talk more about it if you catch the stream at 8pm Central time.
@@FadeToBlackLLC ok. I'm just confused because I can get a roll 24/36 for $119 or $244
One is from 20 by 100 and the other is 40 by 100. I guess I will order 20/100 with 60 inch cut option and come out with a 24/36 at $119!
Where do you order your tint?
I use various brands to be honest. SolarFX, Flex Film, Tint Club and Solar Free.
What do you recommend for a 2008 crv
Can you be a little more specific with your question?
Where’s a good place to order tint rolls from?
Tint Club.. Google it. 👍🏾
Is it possible to buy tint online and just take it to a tinting shop?
I wouldn’t suggest that. Most shops have a brandthey already use. That’s like bringing sand to a beach. Go to a shop and ask what they use and pick a line. They are there to help you 👍🏾
Where do you buy your tint at ?
Flexfilm and Tint Club Google them.
Is 20 inch roll good for a sedan windshield?
No, get a 36" and it will cover most all.
Where do you get your film?

I'd just hit up Xpel and see what they say? I honestly don't know.
Where do I find rolls of tint?
Try Tint Club or Flexfilm online
What about windshield?
I windshield is similar sized to a rear glass. You can use the same sized roll for both. Most rear glass a 36" will fit that's why I didn't mention a Windshield. Thanks.
Hey man i wanna hand cut my front windows on my 97 chevrolet silverado k 1500 front 2 windows. Can i do that with 20" tint.
I think those windows are taller so the 20” as you mentioned probably won’t fit. That’s why I get 24” rolls.
Can u get me a link for a decent deal on some 24 or 30.?
@@FadeToBlackLLC can I buy the 24 from u?

@@FadeToBlackLLC thanks a lot I appreciate the response I will be doing just that!
Bro , where can i buy window tint,
Tint Club or Flexfilm online sells film. Check them out.
Thank
My friend the price of 60' is same price of 24' and 36' so no need to buy 60' and cut it 24 and 36.
Thanks for telling me. Some places did offer a discount when a 60"was cut down. Yes I do see that some companies don't anymore.

@@antonho5903 It not really about quality, it's about how your using the film? If you looking for more of a heat reduction then go with Ceramic. I like to do Ceramic on Full Windshields and sunroofs. Carbon is a Better and Ceramic is BEST in terms of film.
