Talaash is a masterpiece. Indian audience didn't understand the value of this movie at the time release. But many people have realized it now that it's a fantastic movie. Terrific performances by Aamir & Co.
Why? I think it was a hit as far as I remember. I still remember watching it with my parents on a late night show. It was One of my memorable memories

Sad that I didn’t get to see this in the theatres but I remember someone giving out spoilers because they weren’t happy with it. Then, I saw it on TV a few months later and I loved it. Criminally underrated in my opinion.
My friend also told me the spoiler but he said the wrong actress name and just because I booked my tickets and didn't want to waste the money I still saw the movie with spoiler given by my friend. At the end because of him saying the wrong actress name it was a great twist for me at the end since I was expecting what he said to be with the actress he told about..

The costume storytelling in this movie is amazing. It’s very grounded and grunge yet it makes an impact.
Everyone is praising Kareena. But even Rani left such a deep impact with such a limited screen time. Her sad eyes did the talking and Roshni stayed with me after finishing the movie. Kareena was brilliant too no doubt.
The lady who plays the medium is Shehnaz Patel. She has played the role of Rani's mother in the movie black and is marvelous, one of the best performances in Indian cinema. Hope she gets more work and recognition

Even-tough you are right that “Bas” means “Enough” in English but it also means “That’s it”.
I know its confusing but the word “Bas” has different meanings attached to it when said in different emotions.
When said in anger it means “Enough”.
Whereas when asked as a question it means “That’s it.”
Yup, "bas" with a question mark could be translated as "is that enough?" or "is that it?". You can't do one-to-one hindi to english translation without knowing the context and emotion behind it.
There's a difference between Enough and enough? ... Same here. Bas - enough and bas??? - enough??

Those who love this movie for them it definitely holds a special place in their heart n mind. I watched it in a less than half packed theatre & I chose to sit in middle seat with no one sitting in the entire row just to feel my surrounding with the dark n creepy vibe the movie was providing. And let me tell you when the suspense revealed in the end with that enhanced loud background score (the only time bgm got loud), My kurkure packet literally fell down from my hands, was just shocked n scared at the same time(meri literally 5/10 seconds k liye fat gayi thi) as I didn’t see that coming. The movie created that atmosphere around your headspace pretty convincingly & it’s bgm by Ram Sampath is one of the primary reasons of this. I think the background score doesn’t get that attention it deserves. One of the finest bgm score in a movie. Not loud, very little here n there & yet convincingly puts the impact of what’s going on the scene. The whole movie didn’t get the attention then which it deserved n so does even now despite being an Aamir Khan Starrer. 💔

Lil known fact : the car jump scene was not done in Mumbai, it's a busy place so they shot the scene in 'Pondichery' and the drowning scenes too

I thought i ws the only person who likes this movie..😅.. its definitely one of the most underrated films.. no matter what one says.. i love love love this film.. extraordinary writing and concept.. its very unusual how Reema wrote all this.. very very imaginative.. too many parallel worlds colliding..

This film is such a masterpiece...the mood, noir, cinematography, costumes, script, acting everything is just top notch!
I find myself extremely lucky to have seen this film in theatre. Me and my friends preparing for IIT have seen this in an old theatre in Hyderabad. It was the best experience with respect to movies I ever had. Top notch acting, brilliant screenplay, superhit songs, background music, interaction with supernatural, sound design, everything was just too good. It was a very thrilling and satisfying experience. My favourite scene in the movie is the interaction between Aamir and Kareena in the hotel room where he says that he is tired. Also, I love every artist of this movie and have been following their work regularly. Wish such movies are regularly made. ♥♥♥♥♥

Wow, finally this movie. I remember when this movie got release. It was around 2012 NOv and I was in 11th standard. And I wanted to see this flick on big screen but didn’t happen as dabbang 2 was played on that day entirely that really pissed me. When I watched this movie in television for the first time I was literally blown by it. I recommend this movie to everyone but not much people give credit to this movie. That’s a sad part, at least I loved the movie,logic and everything and what is not in our control. Thanks for reacting to it.❤❤

Its interesting, we say 'Bas' in two ways. When we are curious whether something is over or not kinda like the subtitle 'thats it?' More of a question but we also say 'Bas' when we've had enough!

Thankyou so much for this watch along. I had been waiting for this reaction since the time you reacted to the trailer 😄 just loved the reaction. This is my most favorite movie of Aamir's. I dont understand how ppl didnt like it or how some couldnt understand it. It is such a brilliantly written film with all the cast being just perfect. I can never stop raving about this movie. Just love love love it.
There are no jump scares or any of the usual "horror" elements but this movie made me soooooooo nervous, kept my heartrate up throughout.
It was fun seeing Jaby getting so triggered by the closeness of Suri with Rosie, knowing the twist, i was eagerly waiting for the part whr you realise she is a spirit, must say, you didnt disappoint. I loved how you both connected the dots when Malika asked "who is Rosie" but the screenwriter did a good job confusing you'll even after that 😄.
It was a genuine hit at the boxoffice and got good reviews too…. Its just that it was squeezed between Aamirs 5 record breakers GHAJINI,3 IDIOTS and was followed by DHOOM3 PK DANGAL so it doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Also the genre of the film is such that its not a massy commercial experience enjoyed repeatedly with family, its deep dark sad haunting heartbreaking and with a nice twist at the end. One of my favourite AAMIR FILMS❤❤
