Ilia isn’t running from anyone I think he’s just making sure he makes money moves. He wants to be the next big ufc superstar and by asking for the bmf title fight he’s essentially making sure that he can add another trophy to his name. I think volk needs a tune up fight, let him get a fight where he can gain some his his mojo back. Rematch with ilia might very well end volks career. I would hate to see volk get knocked out 3 times. Bmf belt on the line sounds fair , due to the fact that it’s an imaginary belt that really should have only existed for the masdival/diaz fight. Just give ilia the bmf fight against max in Spain. The fans want to see it and ilia wants to silence the haters. So make it happen.
i think that fight makes absolutely sense ! + it would be one of the most interesting featherweight fights ever ( in my opinion ) theres so much to proof in that fight + both skillsets are amazing
BMF is weightless and would require smaller fighters to step up anytime the boss asked. Illia isnt that guy, Max would fight Jones at HW if it was possible. Illia would never. Illia doesn't qualify for the belt for that reason alone.

The only two reasonable fights are max and volk. Those are the two fighters he could fight. Those are also by coincidence the two only competitive fight. And then he decided to say he’ll fight the guy both max and volk absolutely dominated. And the cherry on top is the dudes personality. Ilia is a very dislikable champion. I really thought he was joking for some time about how he wants to go about things. But it looks like he really is that ridiculous of a person. He needs to be cancelled.
