I got to see Coach Bowden on two occasions in person..once was in Tallahassee when my brother was living there. I rode my bike to the college to watch the call in show with Gene Deckerhoff and Bobby..it was when Dan Kendra with quarterbacking for the noles. And I think it was last year or the year before. He was speaking at a Fellowship of Christian athletes event here in Perry.FL.with Kez Mccorvey one of the best defensive backs to ever play I was fast and would get more strips than anybody I even seen..I managed to get a signed fellowship of Christian athletes football for a donation of 5 bucks..i still have it in my closet. I'm gonna get a case for it now. Coach Bowden was a man with integrity and a caring heart and he homered his savior whenever he could..RIP Coach your one of the best in the game..
I heard about his passing. Its just not real to,me yet but he was a great man. A Christian man who,led an exemplary. Life. For his players and people in general. Never a. Cry baby. All ways good sport even when losing. And never a bragger. Umble. And down to earth a southern gentleman and a great coach. Daggumit I'm gonna miss him rest in peace bobby,,,
The best to ever do it. And did it with morales. 14 straight years in the top 4. Something even Saban won’t do. He was a man who knew there was more to life than football. He took a bunch of young men without father figures and turned them into standup men.

And he lost to a awful Nole team. Just wrap your head around that THIRTY TWO straight winning seasons…. All while having played football for 50 less years than most blue chip programs. Nick can only dream about accomplishing that. Men lie, women lie. Numbers don’t.

Nick is great but he is coaching in an era where only 5 or 6 elite teams can win it all. It won't matter anymore anyway. I met the coach on a plane once. He was so nice and friendly. I could tell right away that he was a Godly man.
