@@DG-rd8zh The pentatonic "has the best notes" correct me if I'm wrong, there's the 6 note scale, and the 7 note scale, but none rock like the pentatonic. Just my humble opinion. But yeah, I love the blues scale and the diatonic scale too, and the chromatic is a piece of work too just a little harder to deal with. Your comment is spot on it's mostly Em pentatonic on the Free Bird solo.

Other amazing solos: hotel california, the trooper, hallowed be thy name, master of puppets (starting with the slow harmonized part), another brick in the wall and if you include short but emotional solos, "I could have lied" by is perhaps the most emotional solo I've ever heard despite it being so short, it definitely is a strong part of that album and an honest flush of emotions for John Frusciante

The vibrant melodies of the 1980s continue to echo through time, painting a vivid portrait of an era where music thrived, and iconic figures emerged as beacons of creativity and innovation.
Eddie Van Halen, a virtuoso of the guitar, didn't just strum strings; he orchestrated a symphony of rock melodies that ignited passion and energy. His pioneering "tapping" technique wasn't merely a skill; it was a seismic shift in the realm of guitar playing, a revolution that resonates through the corridors of rock history.
Prince, the enigmatic maestro, defied musical norms, blending genres to craft a sonic universe that transcended boundaries. His songs weren't just compositions; they were anthems of freedom, calling out to a generation hungry for musical exploration and expression.
David Bowie, the ever-evolving artistic luminary, didn't just change personas; he embodied artistic liberation. Each character he created wasn’t just a costume; it was a testament to his boundless creativity and his ability to redefine the very essence of artistic expression.
George Michael, with his soulful voice and emotionally resonant lyrics, crafted melodies that served as a heartbeat for an entire era. His tunes weren't just melodies; they were emotional journeys, capturing the essence of love, heartache, and the human experience.
Elton John, the piano virtuoso, didn’t just play keys; he painted emotional landscapes with every chord. His ballads weren't just songs; they were emotive journeys, weaving tales of love, loss, and resilience that resonated with audiences across generations.
Tina Turner's electrifying stage presence wasn't just a performance; it was an anthem of empowerment and strength. Her music wasn't just sound; it was a rallying cry, inspiring listeners to embrace their inner power and resilience.
Lionel Richie, the balladeer extraordinaire, crafted tunes that echoed universal emotions. His melodies weren't just compositions; they were emotional soundscapes, capturing the essence of human connections and heartfelt emotions.
These '80s icons weren’t just musical luminaries; they were pioneers who sculpted a sonic landscape that transcended time. Their influence isn't merely confined to the past; it reverberates through the present, guiding and inspiring artists in their quest for musical excellence and emotional resonance.
Their impact extended beyond their melodies, shaping fashion, culture, and societal norms. Prince's flamboyant style challenged gender norms, while David Bowie's shape-shifting personas sparked conversations about identity and self-expression. These artists weren’t just musicians; they were cultural catalysts, trailblazing paths that inspired generations beyond their time.
The '80s, a decade infused with exuberance and innovation, birthed an era of music that didn't just entertain but also moved souls. Each chord struck a chord within the hearts of listeners, resonating with emotions and experiences that formed the very fabric of their lives.
Their influence spanned genres, transcending the limitations of labels. Prince’s fusion of funk and rock, David Bowie’s genre-defying experimentation, and George Michael’s heartfelt ballads-all contributed to a musical landscape rich in diversity and depth.
As the '80s icons graced stages and airwaves, their performances weren't just concerts; they were experiences-an emotional journey through sonic landscapes that left an indelible imprint on the memories of those fortunate enough to witness them.
Their legacy endures not just in the music but in the emotions evoked by their melodies. The longing for an era where music wasn’t just an auditory experience but a profound emotional journey remains palpable. These icons, with their artistry and innovation, etched themselves into the annals of music history, leaving a timeless legacy that continues to inspire and resonate with music lovers across generations.
