Different advantages and disadvantages other than upgrades for different factions should exist as well.

Tier 3 Soldiers for Romans should be Praetorian Guards wearing purple capes or something. Defenders should be Archers instead of Javelin throwers. I think there should be different skills for different generals like Julius Caesar should have faster troop movement. There should also be individual troop experience where it would be more devastating and expensive if you send your battle hardened troops to death. There should be like squads or legions where you can order one to guard you and order the other to attack. That’s a lot to ask. My imagination goes wild to games with so much potential like this.
You could have like your own Legio X Equestris with their own banners and shield designs and stuff.
RexJul4861 like in Formata there should be like a commander view to point where a certain legion would go. That would be cool.

You should use testudo if you want to lower your casualties while destroying the enemy walls.
I think an online multiplayer game mode in this would be cool.
My only game addition: horses and different units with different abilities
Obviously, they should add archers to the game, although I'm not sure how viable those units would be, so maybe don't add archers. Otherwise, they should add siege ladders, so you can scale the enemy fortress quickly instead of breaking down the gate (for balance, they can only be used when all the defenders are dead, and a siege ladder counts as a unit, but is bad at fighting). Oh, and a death match more, where you can get up to 50 units (60 with unit limit upgrade) and a ton of gold to start, but have little to no gold production, so you have to best the opposing army's without any reinforcements.
New units and each faction/leader gets/gives a bonus respectively. as in each faction has a passive bonus or unique formation while each leader also has one

There should be a siege mode where the other is sieging with a battering ram or men with ladders or those moving towers while the other is defending like 4 points/flags and the enemies have one/two flags/points which is in their siege weapon and their spawning ground

I’d like to see a couple of changes. Leader dies. Army can not capture flag. Can’t respawn military unless you hold base. I’d like to see base defense troops mandatory.

I think this is a really cool game but it’s just really in need of new mechanics like bigger army’s more units more control of your army and some buffs and nerfs. But I think it could go farm and be a great game
Try Grow Empire Rome: it is a game about Roman conquest and you must crush rebellions and defend wave after wave of barbarians. The larger your empire becomes the more mercenaries you'll get. Heroes can be bought with gems. There are 3 legions, but you must get enough soldiers to fill all 3.
