I'd say High Plains Drifter, Play Misty for Me, The Beguiled, Pale Rider are also Clint Eastwood horror films.
Oh The Beguiled, yes!
For a man, The Beguiled is kind of the ULTIMATE horror movie...although at the beginning, ironically, he probably thought he had found paradise...
Criminally underrated thriller.
Bujold stars in an underrated 70's medical themed thriller Coma. Allison Eastwood played the oldest daughter.
That's where I recognize her from!!
Coma's whole premise had a "hm, I could see that happening" ring to it.
The killer is this film was the sheriff in Friday the 13th Part 5. Clint got kind of close to the genre with his directorial debut Play Misty for Me (1971), more of a thriller with some horror-type undertones but I would've liked to see him do more horror-like stuff later on. Waaaay too many westerns... lol Two of his early movies were actually horror, although he only had tiny parts in them, Tarantula (1955) and Revenge of the Creature (1955). Bujold was great in Coma (1978).
Yes Revenge of the Creature, totally forgot he was in that! And even knew it too. The poster is even in Back to the Future III in the background while Marty is talking about Clint Eastwood.
High Plains Drifter (1973), which Clint starred in and directed, has some horror elements within its Western exterior.
Damn good one, guy's. Adam's synth score fit way better too, hands down. Happy frightful Friday gents!
Thanks! happy Frightful Friday!
he's a real *Dirty * Harry here chewing gum while get serviced ; ) Kudos FFHM for bring the movie back!
*Dirty* Harry Nice one!
One of my favorite Eastwood films that isn’t talked about much.
That's why we thought we'd cover it. Thanks for watching
Tightrope is one of my favorite film's from the 80s it's very underrated.
I would love to see you guys talk about 1980 Cruising directed by William Friedkin RIP
We actually DID cover Cruising a few years ago! czcams.com/video/qBGY1VSJNu4/video.html
@@FrightfullyForgotten ah nice one thanks for the link I'm new to the channel keep up the great work lads and greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
Sleaziest, yes, but Play Misty for Me was also a very creepy movie too.
Yeah, we forgot about that one, such a large filmography!
U guys had alot of fun with this one 😊. As someone who has been to nawlins 4 times i can attest for the fact all the brothels , and underground clubs still exist and that the entire city changes when the sun goes down 👇 😅😊
Never been but it seems like an amazing place
This one is pretty good but everyone should watch The Beguiled and Play Misty For Me. Two awesome 70s classics.
Play misty is awesome and genuine scary for any guy who's been with a crazy chick 😮😅
Great video as always guys but the best part of it was just how hard you were both laughing. Great to see you both having so much fun doing what you do.
@@TheMrElzebub glad you can have fun watching us have fun. Have always said you get more enjoyment when the entertainers you're watching are also enjoying themselves. No one wants to see a band or comedian just go through the motions.
So many Eastwood firsts in this movie. Him spooning a stray dog. Can't say I saw that coming.
Great vid guys this movie had a curse on it for me I tried at least 4 times to watch this and honestly the powers that be wouldn't let me finish it lol.
First time we rented it the tape was damaged about 20 mins into it so that was that then we tried again and family visited without warning...so it got turned off...then the movie was on TV so I recorded it.. my mum god bless her stopped the recording half way through when the news came on...That was not funny me and my dad watched about 40 mins of it then the recording was stopped we went mad...then the last time I tried to watch it my dvd player broke no shit! So this one Clint Eastwood film that I WILL watch lol😂😂😂😂😂 awesome review I preferred Adams music to the score well better... 😅😅Clints Greasy arse 😂😂😂😂 a Pervy film though top sleaze 😅😅😅 I was laughing at you guys laughing 👏
haha oh man those stories are hilarious, and we can totally relate to the recording stopping! And then your DVD player, man I can just imagine you flipping out! Hopefully one day you can finally watch it. Cheers mate.
Haha. When I was a kid and this came out. It came out a few months after Sudden impact, which was my introduction to the Dirty Harry franchise, and I used to get tightrope confused with Sudden Impact. I’ve only caught bits and pieces of this one, so I really need to watch it all the way through. Love your review:)
Thanks, hope you can find a chance to check out the movie soon, cheers.
@@FrightfullyForgotten Thank you and Salud:)
just watched a bunch of your videos! love the channel guys happy I found it!
Happy you found us too! Welcome aboard
The 5th Dirty Harry film to me, one I love. I interviewed the writer/"Director" earlier this year
Oh that's awesome is that up on your channel? Send us a link if so

Love your channel and your love of British Beer. Over here in the UK we love our ales. What a fantastic, funny review. I can't watch it now without laughing, thinking of your Clint Eastwood impersonations 🤣 Adam is right though, should of had a synth intro instead of that stupid jazz thing. Justin's "Maybe I'll take you bowling" line had me in stitches 😆
We love MOST types of beer, not really sours so much. But British Ales, German lagers all seem boring when compared to this new fad of super hoppy high IBU IPA's and stuff. but those English styles especially bitters are really hard to nail, we appreciate them for the complexity even though they seem like "simple" beers.
I saw this in the theater when it was new (yes, I'm that old!). I think the jazz score is Eastwood's influence since he's a huge fan, but yeah, the synth score works much better.
This might make a good double feature with Charles Bronson's "Ten to Midnight".
Yes that would make a great double feature! Also we were talking behind the scenes about the Jazz probably being a Eastwood choice maybe, even though he didn't direct it.
In addition to the Dirty Harry films which I love if you haven't seen the Gauntlet I highly recommend. Great picture.
Oh yeah seen the Gauntlet for sure, Justin loves that one
The log got a toy but he didn't. That sounds like the title of a country and western song.
"Cryin' in my beer cause the log got a toy"
The Eiger Sanction is a really good film but The Good The Bad and The Ugly is one of my all time favorite films lol. As for Tightrope, seems like I watched bits and pieces on cable. Looking at imdb, that Richard Tuggle guy only directed one other film and has only three screenplay credits, crazy how brutal the movie business can be.
haha we were joking about the Eiger Sanction! The Good The Bad and the Ugly is a masterpiece
Cheers guys happy Friday
Same to you buddy Cheers!
I always liked Blood Work too
Never got around to seeing that one.
Clint's a big Jazz fan so I bet he insisted on the music, an he clearly wanted this character to be as far removed from Dirty Harry as possible. This is apparent as in how he barely shoots his gun.
Yeah very true how this character is the total opposite of Dirty Harry. Good observation.
Despite many opportunities,
I still haven't seen this.
It's been on British TV a lot.
British TV must have shown nearly all of Eastwood's films
from '71-'97 at some point.
I own most of them
but have missed Tightrope
somehow.
We hope you can check it out, then come back and let us know what you think.
@@FrightfullyForgotten
Certainly.
I would really like to see you guys review the movie "Ten to Midnight" from 1983. It is a serial killer suspense thriller too. Charles Bronson plays the detective who tries to protect his daughter played by Lisa Eilbacher from the creepy killer!!! (The guy playing the killer, Gene Davis, had a small part on the movie Cruising (1980).
I'd like to throw in Rider on the Rain for an eccentric Bronson thriller.
This looks like a weird one I'm gonna have to check it out. I noticed that the little girl from Troll was in this lol
oh yes, didn't catch that, but honestly haven't seen Troll in a dogs age.
Tightrope is a great movie that doesn't get talked about a lot it's like a sleazier dirty Harry
And Greasier!
@@FrightfullyForgotten absolutely
Tuggle? A mash-up of "tug" and "struggle". Sounds like pulling on a rope. Or pulling on something else.
The Synth works much better but... It's a little fast. I think slower more hard hitting to match the speed of the panning camera would work better.
Greasy clint....😅😅😅😅😅😅....i remember seeing it on tv years ago..good job boys
haha yeah he's pretty greasy in this!
i haven’t seen this- i will def give it a shot. but as for CLINT horror flicks surely PLAY MISTY FOR ME is up there, and as far as sleazy check out the NUTSO civil war phantasmic psychodrama of THE BEGUILED (released the same year! 🤟🤯) it gets WAY more out there than you might guess.
keep up the good work, thanks!
Should have a title “two tossers with a beer”.
Two Tossers with Two Beers.
I love tighrope , a nasty, little , sweaty , " nawlins " murder , who is it killer film 📼 😅😊
Subscribed.
Welcome aboard!
Not enough sleaze. Compare to New York Ripper and Maniac 😂
yes, this is true, but they are different beasts in a way. This just has a sleazy character, Maniac and New York Ripper are Sleazy from head to toe
Tightrope has a giallo vibe as well.
Yeah totally.
To be fair, Eastwood's sleaziest role by far is in the Mule.
Saw the Mule in theatres, don't recall his character being all that sleazy, a patsy yes haha. Then again only saw it the one time, did enjoy it though
@@FrightfullyForgotten Him pulling those cougars though, haha.
