I left a long comment with your reaction to Daneliya Tuleshova. Much like then as now I also discovered Angelina after Daneliya three nights later only the song I watched her sing comes next in her chronology it is a Billie Holiday song, 'I'm A Fool To Want You' she sings acapella. I call Angelina and Daneliya 'My Twins', as they share many things. Both are talented and beautiful. Both are 2006 babies. Both have voices that are more mature than their ages. Both have families that are willing to do what is necessary to give their children a chance to succeed. There are many others but it is what I have found out. The only thing where they aren't close is size. Angelina has grown to a height of 6'1" tall where Daneliya is only about 5'3" tall.
I just wanted you to know I have written you some personal observations similar to what I will write about here. I hope you will read both.
@@davidcochran6291 from what people said at her recent concerts, for example people who stood next to her and could judge her relative height, I thiink she is about 5' 10" or 5' 11"... certainly not 6' 1" (or more!), unless you count the added inches from her piled up hair :) Not sure why so many insist on exaggerating her height....

I think you will come to realize there has never been someone like her in music history, at 16 she has the most versatile voice I’ve ever heard, and I’m 74 and have heard the best.

No. It is not normal. But there is nothing 'normal' about Angelina. She starts her career with 'The Hungarian Suicide Song' banned in World War 1. Nothing normal about that. Which is what the final judge was asking about. She replied 'a sad Sunday' and he left it at that. She is simply a reservoir of Classic Music History. A Master Storyteller and Jazz Vocalist. One of the best of all time.
Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Auditions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on CZcams before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. "
In a interview after this performance Angelina's mom was asked why she was crying during her performance?? Were they happy tears??

Your shock is something thousands of us around the world went through the first time we heard her sing. Your thought process is exactly correct. This is not normal and to believe there is something very special about her, one only needs to listen to her sing. I don't want to go overboard about her right now. I think it's a better idea to let you listen to more of her work and let your heart tell you what it thinks about her. A few of her fans (her 'angels') will be sending you all kinds of data (playlists and personal info) about her. By reading them you will begin to get a greater understanding of who she is.

Most of us forget the emotions we experienced as newborn babies and young children, but those are the most raw and powerful emotions most people ever experience. As adults, we may have forgotten them and so it is strange to see a young child express emotions in a way that is acceptable to adults. With Angelina, I like to think that she reminds us of the humanity of children. Her voice touches me in a way that makes me want to be a better person.
She is just special and judging by the information sent to me by her fans, she is an example for the young and the old people.
What you will soon realize is that Angelina today at 16 Angelina is already the best Jazz singer on the Planet! Soon to be one of the Best Vocalists of All Time.
Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 yrs old after starting the competition at 7 yrs old. The youngest winner of any Got Talent show on the planet. She had to wait two years because you had to be 7 yrs old to enter. She started with a rendition of Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' which she just infused with Billie's soul. She followed this by another Billie classic with a pitch perfect rendition of 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella. Her next performance was a beautiful rendition of 'Bang, Bang' by Sony & Cher and performed most famously by Nancy Sinatra. She won the competition with what I consider her first Masterpiece performance of 'Summertime' by George Gershwin. Shortly after winning she was designated a National Treasure by the Norwegian people. ♥👣👸🏻
There is video of Angelina recorded my her mother Sarah Astar singing a couple of lines of "I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston when she was 18 months old. She started studying all the greats of Jazz soon after under the guidance of her Iranian Grandmother Mery Zamani a child prodigy in her own right as an artist and poet. English is Angelina's 3rs language behind Norwegian and Farsi along with japanese and some German and perhaps more. She did this from 2 & 3 yrs old by scrolling thru CZcams of all their most Iconic performance. Angelina doesn't just mimic these greats, she reinterprets them and then simply sings them the way they were meant to be sung. She makes them her own.
Angelina was begging her mother to go on "that Simon show" when she was 3 yrs old. encouraged to sing children songs, she would have none of that. Angelina chooses her own songs and she is absolutely fearless. No song is too big and no artist is too Iconic. All the most Iconic songs by the most Iconic singers in music history. Angelina has said singing to her is as important to her as breathing. .♥👣👸🏻🎷
She will sing anything Acapella at any time and often does. Her Tic-Toc is full of these impromptu performances wherever she might be whether in the car, walking around the neighborhood or in a parking Garage. Accompanied by most often a simple guitar or piano her performances are always incredible. Angelina has studied and listened to these classics on repeat since she was at least 3 yrs old. You saw Angelina Jordan in same setting as me for the first time! I saw it live and voted for her win in NGT 2014. She alone got 46% of all votes given in the final. She got many good videos and you will smile of joy every time! I recommend "I put a spell on you" (black/white when she was 9 years), Or her own original "Million Miles" at age 15 (in memory of her granddad that passed away. Norwegian born Angelina began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever vocalist to win an international Got Talent Show! She also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy.
She is now 16, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. Why does Angelina sing barefoot?
When she was 6 years old, she was in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes and has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
Angelina penetrates hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. @@baltataareactions Thanks for your response. Her singing barefoot has become legendary on CZcams. What she did in giving her shoes to an orphan girl is unheard of at 6 years old. And to write a book about it at such a young age is unworldly. It is now available digitally on her Channel, and after I read it a couple of years ago I was in tears. Add to that her wanting to make a commitment to sing barefoot as she did and stick to it to this day is mind blowing. Aside from her stellar talent this is one thing that unites all of her fans, the Angels, in an emotional way that no one can really describe. Angelina can still bring me to tears after 5 years of following her. And it is due to her voice and especially her heart. ❤️. I really appreciate your analysis of this phenomenal performance by Angelina. Do you know that she speaks several languages. I do not know this from personal experience, but many have pointed this out. There is an explanation: Her father is Swedish, her grandmother is from Iran and her grandfather was from Japan. Sara, Angelina's mother, lived for a time in Japan with her parents. Angelina was born in Norway but has spent part of her upbringing in the United States. Etc .... She has thus heard / practiced the following languages during her upbringing: Norwegian, Swedish, English, Farsi, A little Japanese.

She sings bare foot since she was 6 years old to honor a bare foot orphan girl she met girl whom was around her own age of around 6 years old who had no shoes and had scars on her feet; and also to bring awareness to children around the world who are in a similar situations . The little girl was weighing people on a bathroom scale to support her and her siblings.

Yes, that was her mom. Later in an interview, she explained that yes she did know what the song was about. She was singing when she was 18 months old, in English (she is Norwegian), in perfect pitch, in time, while expertly using a microphone. At 18 months......How? Who knows? It just is.......
When she gets on stage and starts singing, she takes control of the entire room, and has everyone's attention, as they hang on every word that comes from her mouth.

I'm a little late to this reaction, but I must say, I agree and liked your assessment of the video. I have been following this young prodigy for over 6 years, and there is not one song that she doesn't amaze me with. In my 68 years, I have never heard another singer that can project feeling and emotion the way this young lady does. In nearly all of her other videos (over 170 on CZcams) she is accompanied by only a guitar or piano so that we can enjoy the full sound of her voice. I am going to post a list of 20 songs that in my opinion are must see/hear. You just did one of them. You may react to them or just enjoy them alone, but every video she has is worth seeing. I subscribed in hopes of seeing many more reactions to Angelina. (Hers are the only reaction videos I watch)

She is participating in some TV shows and singing for charity mostly i think. I have no idea if she has some new projects, but she is young, she has enough time to do whatever she wants.
By the way, Angelina has never had a voice coach or taken a singing lesson in her life. Her parents didn’t want a voice coach to ruin or stifle her natural talent and the sound of her voice.

Angie fell in love with jazz and spent every waking hour listening and practicing it. By the time she was 6 years old, she was recording in the school studio and you can tell she was unusually talented. There is even a very short clip of Angie, in her crib at 1-1/2 years old, with a play microphone, holding it correctly, and singing a few bars. Her abilities have progressed at a rocket pace, year after year, until she is now the artist who is equal to or better than the best female singers of today; literally one in a billion. And she is now almost 17 years old. She signed with Republic Records when she was 14 with a favorable contract stating that she would finish school before being highly promoted and that she would retain artistic control. Her manager is her uncle, BTW. You will find about 200 covers and originals on CZcams, Instagram, TikTok, and FaceBook, etc., with billions of views. She has over 175,000 subscribers on YT alone. At the beginning you see her something writing on a sheet and a man reading it and smiles than.. in an interview this man, who was the "bandleader", said, this were some "wishes" from Angelina (she was every time very polite he said) for changes of her arrangement for the piano :)))
The candle you can see at about 0:12 shows a portrait of J. Hawkins - I think her grandma bought it at a concert in Tokyo ;)
At 0:26 you can see the bassist smiling - I can imagine that he smiles about the expectable reactions of the listeners in the moment, when Angelina starts to sing at 0:30 ;-)
Btw. I read somewhere that her grandma was in person at a concert of SJH in Japan (as she, AJs mother and uncle lived there some years - AJs grandpa is Japanese) and there AJs grandma bought this candle as a souvenir ;)
