👉 For non musicians: The language of music is Italian. Adagio is an Italian word and is used in music to denote tempo, meaning: 'calm', 'slow'. In this song, adagio roughly means: If it is to be, then it will be.
The interpretation of the song by Dimash is brilliant. He touches my heart and soul ... every time.
The shaking of his head and the trembling of the chin has nothing to do with the vibrato. It just goes to show that Dimash can be a little nervous and tense too. It was about a lot. In the previous Episode 5 (Uptown Funk) he yanked everyone out of their seats but still got last place. Either he won now or he would go home. Of course, Dimash won Episode 6.

Димаш 4,5 года занимался подводным плаванием, чтобы прокачать свои лёгкие, отсюда и такая задержка дыхания, сейчас всегда он плавает при каждом удобном случае.
Также Димаш 4 года занимался тхеквондо, спортивный парень, чтобы выдерживать 3-часовые концерты, надо быть выносливым.
Падает на колени во время песни, ему не больно, он на эмоциях. Хотя в Китае Димашу одна из участниц подарила наколенники

The next in The Singer competition is Daididau. This song is very sad and it tells about a very dark time in the history of Kazakhstan, not so long ago. To understand the song, I always advise to take the link from Gloria Wu’s channel as it shows the background story and also has English subtitles.
This song never leaves me unmoved. Even after hearing it so many times. I was at his concert in Düsseldorf and he sang this song with us Dears there too. This song is one he always performs in his concerts, plays the Dombra (a Kazakh folk instrument), and asks his Dears to sing along with him in his Kazakh language (he looks like a Kazakh Prince with his traditional clothing). Every Dear knows many of his lyrics in Kazakh and loves to sing his songs with him at his concerts.
I find it incredibly impressive and wonderful how a single man manages to bring together so many people from meanwhile 150 different countries and continents with so many different views in politics or religion, with so many different languages in a common group and to celebrate peacefully together and to sing in his own language. You can see how proud he is of his country and how happy and moved he is when the audience sings with him🥰.
There is another version of this song that I would like to recommend, but only after or together with the one from the singer competition. And that's the one from his Bastau concert. He has invited about 100 dombra players to this concert, who together with him perform a short instrumental, Adai, before Daididau. That's also very impressive.

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly".
This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace.
The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself.
The classic music piece is globally famous and was translated into a pop song for Lara. She wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer.
She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration.
This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bressan, Anastasia Luna, …
They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love.
Her italian version is also amazing.
