Welcome back to another episode of RAC's Corner! In today's episode, Coach RAC discusses How to Play the Green Monster with Jonny Gomes!
As you may know, I played this week at Fenway Park.
I got a LF lesson from former Red Sox player Jonny Gomes regarding how to play the ball off the green monster.
Here are the main takeaways that apply to every field/stadium with a wall:
LHH
The kick off the wall will be true (right back to home plate)
RHH
The kick off the wall will head to center field
Test the wall during batting practice or before the game, and see if there are "hot spots" where the ball kicks harder!
