I wish it was closer to see what type of screws and what he did to secure the bannister into the wall and stairs etc. but Thank you for making the video! :-) very helpful.
The rosette was attached to the wall by recessing the screw and plugging with a wooden plug to match. The handrail was attached to the post on the bottom with screws and then covered with the fillet between the spindles.
Great instructions. Thank you for sharing your skills.
Love the stain contrast, very nice work.
I appreciate your clear & concise instruction. I can do it! now!

great video
very nicely done
Thank you, this was very useful
Perfect method for everything I reckon. Only question: Why could you not run the detail on the balusters on the 42 degrees as well?
Was there plenty of room to add in the final balluster? i see all the other ones kinda swivel in. same with this one?
Good idea doing it with a 2x4 first. I'll do that. I really didn't wanna mess up my expensive oak railing. Thanks
Think for good jop and idea
I really wanted to see you attach the handrail to the newel post, 🤦🏽♀️ but thanks for the video.
Looking good ... what style of floor is that... laminate hardwood etc keep up the good work..
Bamboo. Incredibly hard product but very easy to install.
Do the balusters/spindels have to be attached to the stair stringer or can they be attached to the hollow tread
They can be attached to each. I attached these directly to the solid tread with a dowel.
@adirondackadventures7849 gotchya. I am working on some at home that have vinyl flooring covering them so the cap trim piece pushes it further in.
How many hours did it take to install the railing and spindles?
I believe I completed the project in about 3 hours
as you can see have handrail in place....how did you attach to wall at the top?
I fastened a rosette to the handrail with screws and then I screwed and plugged the rosette to the wall.

How do you attach handrail to rosette at top and newel on the bottom ? Thank you
The rosette was attached to the wall by recessing the screw and plugging with a wooden plug to match.
The handrail was attached to the post on the bottom with screws and then covered with the fillet between the spindles.
Argh, you didn't show how you secured the top rail to the wall.
thats what i came here for too
I used two screws going through the rosette into the wall.
Thanks !!! : )
you didnt show how you installed the railing. it wasn't there then it was.

Didn't show the actual installation. :/
why the little peace of wood between the banisters
It keeps everything tight and prevents twisting. It also comes with the railing kit for your convenience.
