I'm going to be honest I started going to Arby's a lot more frequently once I found out they allowed people without cars to walk through their drive-thru. My wife and I are blind and always have a house near fast food options and when we won a midnight snack and all the indoors are closed we don't have any options other than pizza delivery. During the pandemic Arby's put up a sign stating that walk through drive-thru areas was allowed which to me is a welcoming to people with disabilities that don't have a car

The owner at the time treated us like useless people, then when we found out that it was bought by a company, we had a helluva goodbye party! And to top it off...the new company ACTUALLY allowed us to close the restaurant for the day to have the party and told us that all food was free! Plus another team lead that turned GM at another Arby's helped me get my license and a vehicle by letting my get maximum overtime. And yes, the company allowed it. After we told them why I had so much overtime they called it "bettering the value of employees!" Great place to work at! Hands down top 5 of best employers I've ever worked for!

Since they swapped out all the projector screens with TVs (a totally understandable move) the volume in there has skyrocketed to uncomfortable levels when the place is busy. One of the reasons they get so much guff is that their roast beef comes in as a liquid/paste. It needs to be sliced at the most particular thickness or else it tastes gross. I repeat, I like Arby's a lot. Their curly fries are the kittens mittens and their shakes are the bee's knees. You're absolutely right. Arby's is a heck of a lot healthier than many other fast food Joints. I do not really eat at Mcdonald's anymore because of the preservatives in their food. I ate Mcdonald's buy one get one free quarter pound cheese burgers receipt survey coupons for a while and one day I threw it up because the preservatives disagreed. For a long time all I would eat was McDonalds. I counted up all my receipts and it was around $325 over about a 2 year period. Recently when I went to McDonalds over the past 2 years I've spent maybe $75 but I only bought their breakfast.
Off Topic but recently I've been buying gift cards at work when 4x fuel points and I've been hitting up Arby's between 2pm-5pm for their happy hour dollar sliders, Small Fries, Small Milkshakes ( super thick compared to Mcdonald's smooth slick feel) $5-$8 a visit. A small milkshake is all you really need from Arby's. It's the perfect size of Satisfying and all things good in moderation. If I get a medium I was in a stage where I had too finish it but it just ended up being too much the first or 2nd time I did that to an Arby's shake. So I Just get the Small from there on out.
Also I never really have an Issue with Arby's food. One time the Chicken Slider I got recently was on the warmer too long and a little too much towards the dried out side than my liking but I just ate it since I never really have an issue.
The only McDonald's I can go to is like 5 McD's locations away from my house. There's a McD's like every 2.5 miles in my neighborhood. So I haven't been gong to it recently being it's out of the way. Also they recently transformed it into a Depressed College Student Tech Savy Business cafe. I've been to it like twice since that remodel. Bleh. It's too Dark in the dine area. You could say McDonald's turned me off.
When I eat at a Fast Food Joint I want to feel happy at the end because of Comfort food. McDonald's is loosing me in the rise, fall, rise, and fall for the second time.
Long reply I know. Sorry I Ramble. ARBY'S We Have The MEATS! The next Woman I go on a date with will probably be a trip to Arby's. Taco bell hasn't received a dime of my money. I'm not a fan of Burger King, Halo Burger, Wendy's. Out of my wallet they haven't received more than $30 each. I used to love KFC. I quit Fried Chicken Earlier this year only having fried chicken about 3 times since New Years Day but not from KFC. Sonic is good but you have to go with another person. I don't attend Dairy Queen at all but like 2 or 3 times. It's ok for kids. I quit Subway Eat Fresh! Their Food is not as healthy as they try to advertise it. One thing making me realize that is their used to always be $5 Meatball Sub jumped up to like $6.87. Like I don't love your Subs $6.87 worth. $5 was ok and I was used to the Laziness but $6.87 I'll make a Ham and Cheese Hoagie at Home after after I finish this as a dine in being my last meal at any Subway. Then I gave my points rewards card to my sister to finish the 200 points for a free $2 off next sub and then I'll cancel the card. According to the app she has yet to buy anything on it.

I have always loved Arby's. In northeastern Illinois, there were only three locations, none of them central to where I lived. In high school, we would make afterschool trips to one those locations, despite the fact that we all worked for a different fast food company. We didn't mind paying a little more for food that seemed to be of a high quality that the typical burger place. It was never crowded or plagued with high volume traffic, and that was a definite positive aspect.
The rise and fall of Arby's in your video appears to correlate with the number of store locations that opened and closed in the county. At one time, I believe there were six stores in the county. With the economic decline in 2008, the number or stores dropped back to three. Now, in 2021, under the new company, it's back up to five. Unfortunately, for me, they recently removed one of my favorite side items from their menu - potato cakes. I've had potato cakes with my Beef 'N Cheddar sandwiches for over 30 years. It's so disappointing.

I used to hate the place around 5-8 years ago, most locations came off as dirty and I questioned to quality of more "premium meats" in a fast food chain. However, after around 2016 I went back to an Arby's for the first time because I noticed the different branding, the cleaner look, and of course, the "WE HAVE THE MEATS" advertisements. I'm overall very happy with the direction they went it, because it was nearly unrecognizable from that original impression and I ended up really enjoying the food. Today, though, I question how popular it is because I never see cars in front of it, and I never hear someone say "Let's go to Arby's", despite how good it may have gotten. Even I forget it's an option sometimes. But they're always sitting there, open. So I'm guessing they must be doing well somehow. A little underrated if you ask me.

I worked there in high school (and shortly after graduation until I joined the service) for 2.5 years. This was after 30 days at McD's where I immediately quit at my 30 day review because it was just disgusting. I still eat at Arby's at least 2-3 times a month (sometimes more because my kids love it). It's where I met my wife of 22 years. The owners of our franchise, the 3rd highest for business in the country at the time, were constantly in the store setting a good example and doing everything from working at the counters and cleaning themselves, to cooking, to the manual landscaping. They were always super respectful of their employees, and I never saw anything but the best work from them. True examples. I've actually ran into them a few times since I moved home after retiring and these multi-millionaires are still in the stores doing the same thing. The food quality has always been perfect and I've never seen them take any shortcuts that were the reason I left the other place... it was unacceptable and anyone caught doing anything but following company policies and recipes were corrected immediately. This is why I still eat there. They have standards and a quality associated with them... and they stick to them.

The curly fries and mozzarella sticks are amazing. I love the fish sandwich more than any other place, I wish they had them year round. I don’t eat roast beef. The only down side is they can get pricey if you don’t like the roast beef sandwich or a gyro. The chicken salad sandwich and turkey wrap combos are like $15. At that price point, I could go to any sit down restaurant cheaper. The chicken salad is really good though. They also have a Happy Hour from 2-5 where you can get fries, a slider, milk shake, cookie, and a few other options for $1. I am not a cookie person, but the salted caramel cookie is huge, served warm, and delicious.

I always get 2 turkey gyro's there whenever it's super late after my psych class and don't have enough time to cook before I sleep. It's really comforting to me eating those turkey gyros because they always fill me up and I know that they're pretty healthy.
