    Love everything about this technique. Love your vid. I'm always amazed by the number of negative comments that add no value. That someone would take the time to make a video like this in order to share it with the rest of us -who do know what to do with the results -should be appreciated. If they can't be then that person can simply move on. It's about kindness and respect for others. Thank you for your time and for sharing your talent. Wish you had lots more!

I will have to try this, however, I draw the line at using books for my art as I'm a researching my infamous 3rd great-grandfather and most of what I know about him came from books, documents, and letters that were kept by family members and historical/genealogical societies and libraries.

    @MichelleMcCosh  Před 9 lety +2

    @Terri Shaver - you can't do this technique directly in your journal. I am getting the top layer of the image (in this case the stamped image) to transfer to the tape. if I did this in my journal the paint would have to be wet and I would get the bottom image in my journal. Hope that makes sense. :) Also I used the tape on the top of a cigar box for fun!

    • @craftyrouze
      @craftyrouze Před 3 lety +1

      But what if you used paper as the base instead of the plate? It would just be directly in your journal. A nice technique but not a fan of a shiny tape surface afterwards.

The snores not that much but what the heck, watching paint trying would probably make me snore too. My feeling if you don't care for music use the volume control to turn it off..I learn more by just watching anyways and I often turn the volume off even if its just a person talking!! Possibly one of the most interesting tape tutorials I have seen and I really loved the results. Now I am adding you also to my videos that inspire me playlist and I will definitely try this cool tape technique. I absolutely loved it. I see that several other people mentioned it, and I have to agree that the music and the sound effects did you no favors here. I started to click away because the music drowned out your voice and the sound effects kind of cheapened the awesomeness of what you were creating. I don't think you need either one. This is not a criticism - it's a critique. Sad to see some adults in the comments below don't know the difference - being honest and being mean are not the same thing. YOU did an amazing job as an artist. just be sure to not let the music be louder than you and rethink the "effects" - one time is funny, but every time - not so much. Thank you for sharing!
