Hike Up ELEPHANT MOUNTAIN in Taipei - How to Get To Elephant Mountain by MRT Train

- We are in Taipei (台北), Taiwan (台灣) and are visiting Xiangshan (象山) also known as Elephant Mountain or Mount Elephant located in the Xinyi District in Taipei (台北). We plan to walk the Elephant Mountain Hiking Trail also known as Nangang District Hiking Trail to the top viewpoint before sunset to enjoy the magnificent view of Taipei and the very famous Taipei 101 Tower. The view from Elephant Mountain has to be the best view of Taipei city and the Taipei 101 building.
The video begins where we have just arrived at the Xiangshan MRT Station on the very efficient Taipei MRT Train system. From here we show the viewer how to find the way from the MRT Station up to the beginning of Xiangshan (象山) or as most westerners probably call it, Elephant Mountain. We hope you find this "Elephant Mountain How to Get there Video" useful.
This footage is filmed in Taipei (台北), Taiwan (台灣) onboard a Taipei MRT Train, at the Xiangshan (象山) MRT Station and on the Elephant Mountain Hiking Trail just before sunset.

Many parts of Taipei are actually a hiker's paradise if you have the stamina to climb a lot of mountainous stairs.

The greatest challenge in Taipei would probably be the Seven Star Mountain in Yangmingshan at an elevation of 1.1km

How was the weather? Walking those trails in the morning would be fabulous if the weather was cool. And those views were wonderful. My daughter is currently on her own first driving adventure to California. I hope she views new sites she sees with wonder and never looses her sense of adventure. Watching these all over again as I really love the look of this country and city , it’s a must visit . Unfortunately we committed to a week in span in may with friends which if honest sort of forced into lol those holidays have no interest to us anymore . So looking at 2021 now Malaysia or Taipei as I’m terrible for changing my mind

We have been in KL twice and are waiting for the chance to return to Taipei again. Check the weather at both places before making a choice ;-) Taipei or Kuala Lumpur we recommend both cities!!

The word on the rock is just the same as it written on the green sign. "三犁公園" = "Sanli Park"
And the word beside it is the date that this park is built, most parks and schools here in Taiwan got this kind of rock

5'05" Some Buddhists put those yellow signs there, kinda like the thing you can see in the Western "The end is near" ......
Meaning of that sign is, when you hold good thoughts, good god will follow you, but when you have bad or evil thoughts, bad god will follow you (Is there a bad god though???)
7'17" 象山北星寶宮步道, 象山is the Elephant mountain, 北星寶宮is the temple u will meet later when u keep on going the tracts, 步道is trails/tracts for walk/pathway
The sign indicates which tract u r on
