Make your own pot noodle by freeze drying all the ingredients and then re hydrating it to eat it.

I heard that strawberries are amazing freeze dried. But I always wondered what bananas would taste like if you freeze dried them...
I mean they don’t have a very high water content so it’s anyones guess but I think they’d turn brown or just freeze my making a smoothie bowl
You can get freeze dried bananas and strawberries at the dollar store. I prefer the bananas as they turn into like a hard chip (they are called banana chips) and the strawberries tend to be sour and powdery.
Whole freeze dried strawberries dipped in white chocolate are delicious!

Freeze dried bananas in texture are just like the marshmallows in Lucky Charms cereal. Only, banana-y...
Grace, if you love the freeze dried stuff and are curious about how the texture changes, then you should def try to make fizzy fruit by using dry ice! We need a whole section of „science with Grackle“!

hearing your dad accidentally start to call you "chloe" made me laugh- i am constantly being called my aunt and cousins names by my parents!
My grandma would go through all of her male children and grandchildren before she found my brother's name. Poor kid is the youngest so my grandma would call him with every name possible in the family 😅
my dad always switches up my siblings and i's names he keeps calling my younger brother by my name

Andean natives of Peru have freeze dried potatoes for centuries, using the natural dry cold of the nights to freeze, and the intense daytime sun of the equatorial region to dry. They’re fantastic, and are the base of a traditional dish called Carapulcra. It’s one of my world favorites. If you don’t look it up and try it, you’re a big chicken.

I love the texture of freeze dried food!!! I eat freeze dried fruit all the time and I looooove how it just melts in your mouth!! Ive never tried any other freeze dried food though
Freeze dried fruits have been the saviour of my year! I've been shielding and not getting shopping very often so fresh fruit has been less easy to come by, but I discovered freeze dried is amazing 💙💛💚 never thought of freeze drying sweets though - such fun 😅
I've done a degree in chemistry and that was a fab explanation (better than some lecturers I've had)! You always come up with the most unique/fun content 😍

When I was 15, I worked in a chip shop and one day we got bored so we went to the shop and bought loads of stuff to deep fry.....turns out haribo and whole kiwis don’t fry very well 😂

As a scientist who has had to use a freeze dryer for precise experiments, a few tips. For things with high hydration, just freezing in a normal freezer may not be enough. In the lab we would actually freeze samples with liquid nitrogen so they freeze dried properly. Also, depending on what you're freeze drying, it can actually take up to three full days to fully freeze dry. Considering the amount of items you freeze dried at once, and especially with how wet they were, the amount of time you freeze dried was pretty short.

Hahaaa this brings back memories of my uni days, I worked as a lab assistant after I finished my masters and I used a freeze drier just like that when doing wet vs dry leaf weight measurements ...freeze dried sweets are far more exciting than leaves 😂
