- Hello peeps! I am back with another vlog of me taking a solo trip to IKEA to shop for furnitures for my new house. This trip was the first time shopping for furnitures by myself but this time with no pressure of other people I was able to take my time and explore everything. I actually don't really do well with shopping when other people are around me. Honestly this trip was really healing and I really enjoyed every moment of it. Honestly I'm still not used to the fact that now I'm living by myself. There are still struggles and things I have to get used to here and there. But these experience are all apart of being an adult!

since you asked for tips in my country there are people who you pay and they go get you every single thing you need and you just show them what you want from ikea and they will even fix them up in your place for like 50$ or something take the trash out when they leave I did ask them for help when I moved to a new place they saved me a lot of time honestly i just went to buy some small details myself when they finished doing the huge stuff for me

SHOPPING TIP: If something is sold out but they have one set up inside The store you can always ask them if you can buy that one they still have. Most of the time they will lower the price as well because other customers could have touched it and it would have to be undone and set up again damaging the screw holes which decreased its value.

I think you should go to a hardware store and buy a 'measuring tape' 1:40 8-10m ones, then measure everything in your house and bring it with you when you go shopping, also for the shelf 5:12, maybe you can try and get it custom made? (if cost is reasonable) it looks simple enough to make 8:20
Perhaps also borrow or buy a cordless/electric drill or screwdriver

Congrats on getting a house. Did you buy it or are you renting? Would love to see the interior some day. The most exciting thing about living on your own for the first time is feeling independent. Also the sense of accomplishment or achievement. If you ever get lonely, plan to host a sleepover with friends... any CLC member will do just fine!! Remember to recharge those batteries; both yours and the camera ones.

I have 4 of those trolleys because after buying 1, I realised they're good for putting every random thing, so I got 3 more and they're SUPER useful 😆 I keep knick knacks, weights, food, snacks, stationery, etcetc. on them, they're super convenient and can be pushed around easily!
Honestly, this just shows that celebrities are just normal people who think like everyone else when they go shopping hahaha I'm also super indecisive and picky as well

This reminds me of when I moved out of my parents house. Thankfully I was going to live with some friends, so we had each other whenever we had doubts about anything. It can be really tiring but it's so worth it in the end. Best of luck and energy for you!
I know the feeling of waiting for something to come back in stock at IKEA. I wanted to get everything in white because my room is small and I didn't want to make it feel smaller but EVERYTHING in that color was out of stock and stayed out of stock. So I settled for the birch shelf. I should have pulled the trigger and bought all the ones I wanted at the time because now all of the birch is out of stock. It's so frustrating.
that particular shelf is so so so popular imo. in my country it' was also out of stock for so long when i really needed itㅠㅠㅠ
i love to shop alone .. i can take my own time to think and choose what i want. no rushing. shop online is more cheaper . i enjoy shop throught shopee or lazada apps. sometimes i bought some big item there or maybe you can go to any warehouse to look for some idea and get some items there too. hihi somehow i love to shop 2nd vintage/retro items too..

Tips on furnishing your new home:
1) Get a steel measuring tape (5M) to measure your floor plan or if you’re feeling lazy, get the plan with dimensions from your realtor
2) Make a mood board on Pinterest of interiors that you love so you get an idea of what to look for
3) Determine the general layout of your future furniture based on their standard measurementz (ie. Work Tables can be 90cmx60cm, 120cmx60cm, etc). Mock the furniture up on the floor with masking tape if it helps you visualize the actual sizes of the furniture
4) Visit the website of your Ikea and filter the items you need with the specific dimension and then put your items in your “cart” or get a screenshot
5) Use your screenshots as cheat sheet when you actually go shopping so you don’t get overwhelmed at Ikea
Girl, I’ve been waiting 6 months for a bed to be in stock at IKEA! I refuse to shop for another one because it took me ages to settle on that one at IKEA that I like. girlll get a retractable tape measure if you don't already have one! they are such a lifesaver. even if you don't have any particular pieces in mind for your place, you can have an idea of just how much space you have. that way you'll know if something is too big or small when you see it. i'm loving all the moving content 💕

because of corona, transportation fees have increased insanely. that's why ikea is having stock issues, like many other suppliers. ikea have invested in other countries for production and to lower transportation fees but who knows how effective they'll be. right before new years, I went to ikea to get a piece of furniture. it was the last one in stock. while i was waiting in the register line, the lady in front of me was warned by the cashier that she's not allowed to buy more than 5 pieces of the same item... I was like.. wow......

OMG. If they allow it there, the secret is to go in through the exit so you get directly to the 1st floor with all the little things and boxed items. :) They also have computers in that area so you can look up which aisle/bin to find stuff. Used to do that all the time pre-CV.
