Thanks for the review. I purchased a set for my 2003 jazz bass since I play at a large church that is live cast every week on CZcams and I was turned down the last time I played due to 60 cycle hum. I played these last week and they sounded fantastic. No hum and still tons of low end. I also got quite a few comments on how great my growl sounded. I am a big fam of these 10/10.

Jayme Lewis - The Bassist They were single coil and the stage lighting was causing the big issues. Between the strobe lights, color changing lights, and even electronics from the smoke machine could have been the issue. I move around quite a bit so apparently some areas on stage was much worse. Thanks again my friend and God bless.

@@IamLanceShelton Yes they are whisper quiet the entire set playing or not playing. I have a few other guitars that I can not say the same for. I love them. Also, copper shielding normally reduces hum does not eliminate it.

I believe those are for keeping strings from ringing during tapping. Mutes for "the Motown Sound" are located at the bridge. Because when it's at the headstock, it doesn't work the moment you fret a string. :)
