I was at this hotel several years ago. What an incredible experience I had and shall never forget. Incredible hotel, wonderful staff superior food ......a memory I will have forever. The Taj Mahal is the most beautiful monument I have ever seen. And all built in loving memory for his beloved wife. . What a story. One day I will come back to have this unbelievable experience again. Do not hesitate to go. India is absolutely spectacular 😎
One fact for foreigners and also many Indians: Taj Mahal is not a symbol of love. Please study about it. This face story was created thanks to British and leftist of India.

I notice how sensitive you are in behalf of your fellow-guests, and I really appreciate this. Personally, I would find it annoying to be walking through a lobby or eating at a restaurant, only to find others pointing their cameras at me. I know, I'm in a public area, but I still consider such actions as being rather gauche.

I really miss the times I worked in this Oberoi Amar Vilas hotel.
We stayed there 12 years ago and loved it! Beautiful view on the Taj Mahal!
Love the Oberoi properties. Stayed at the Oberoi Wildflower Hall in Shimla and it is one of the best hotels. Went there to celebrate Christmas and it was snowing on Christmas day. The whole place was filled with snow and looks so pretty. Their indoor pool is so instagrammable too. Highly recommend.

Simply SPECTACULAR in all terms: the location, the views to the Taj Mahal, the gardens, the pools, the fountains, the birds flying and singing, the architecture of the building, the furniture and decoration, the attention to detail... Absolutely STUNNING! 👍
Definitely should I ever go to India, I'll stay at Oberoi Udaivilas (Udaipur) and Oberoi Amarvilas (Agra).

My favorite Oberoi is the one in Mauritius. I stayed in The oberoi Sah Hashees in Egypt as well as the Philae nile cruiser as well. Bot equally stunning but MAU is the best so far. Love the oberoi brand!

Yes, I have stated here. In my opinion I regard the Oberoi group of hotels along with the Four Seasons and Aman Properties as the best of the best. As far as the Oberoi properties go, my favorite is Wildflower Hall, followed by the Amarvilas. Also looking forward to staying at their renovated property in Delhi.
Try Udaivillas as well. You will love it.
I would include BELMOND also on your list, now property of the exclusive LVMH GROUP ,their hotels and trains and boats offer some of the most exclusive, elegant and refined experiences ...

Spectacular hotel and though your portrayal of it is fantastic it is even more amazing in reality. I had morning coffee and food on the terrace and I will never forget it, the view of the Taj Mahal was fab. Staff were lovely and so attentive. I am sorry I did not stay in it but next time.... Only bad experience and not related to the hotel, 20 feet outside the entrance on the grassy kerb was a horse and I cld see every rib and bone and he had hardly any food in his food bag, after the opulence of the hotel it was heartbreaking, such neglect and when I think of this magnificent hotel I think of that poor neglected horse.
Yes indeed, You are very fantastic Hotel Oberoi Amarvillas, I was there the March 4 2014 and was going to the early in the morning to be with HDH Paramahamsa Sri Nithyananda Swamiji and when i return from Haridwar then i stayed at the Mumtaz Mahal hotel. This was amazing to be seen early again in the morning to ask your staff that i met on the street. They new i was Mrs Fromin. We will go very soon at the Agra and see together our Taj Mahal..........We are the Consciousness together and UNCLUTCHE with it all the magnificent World Wide Treasure of our Tomb....................We are the most down to Earth Being............................I will see U soon.....................Namaste
Such a stunning property. When I was 25 I visited it for evening cocktails, and the illuminated fountains and paintings made the courtyard seem out for 1001 Arabian nights (yes i know this is India, but can't blame where my mind went). Beautiful India, most foreigners don't know about!

19:51 If u go to udaipur for udaivilas oberoi don't miss TAJ LAKE PALACE IN UDAIPUR ONE OF THE BEST LUXURY HOTEL PALACR IN INDIA SITUATED IN THE MIDDLE OF A RIVER.... Oberoi group have that grand elevation for their properties always but they miss out on luxury hospitality....when it comes to hospitality TAJ IS my personal favorite....

HI Oberoi Amarvilas, I was at the hotel in March 2014 and the staff really remembered me when I was out oh the hotel and went to the Queen Mumtaz Mahal hotel.........It was a very small hotel and it was great................I was impressed buy your staff who really knew me when I was in the Agra at night around 3 am in the morning..................I am really wonderful..........Namaste
Unfortunately no video or camera can capture how close the taj really is from the hotel! It’s just breathtaking. You look out of the window and lose your chain of thought.

I visited the Taj Mahal last year and had lunch at Amarvilas. Great Club Sandwiches. It was 42 degrees at the time so it was nice to enter the cool airconditioned hotel. We had hoped that we could (in return for a fee) use the pool but it was only for overnight guests. The thing that hit me the most was the contrast between the poverty and chaos outside and the luxury and spendor inside. Hard to get used to if you are from a Western European country (Denmark in my case). Anyway.. Love the video. Keep up the good work!
Wat you call poverty is way of life imposed on Indians by British Empire who loted previous wealth of India for 200 Years.
Economic 3stimates says they plunderd 100 trillion dollars back then and sucked India. ..they built their empire called London and Buckhinhum palace with that .
Other side of India is not poor, rather living simple life. They don't wear luxury attires. Look simple but got plenty money.

Hi I am from Agra the city of Tajmahal. Tajmahal is nearby to my residence and i also saw Amarvilas many times definitely it is my favourite in all but I never visit inside but i want to visit

It's not every day you stay in a hotel, or rather, a small palace, with a view of the Taj Mahal. And a beautiful dinner on your balcony with that view. Now THAT is romantic!
Eggs bennie count is up to seven now, I think. But who's counting--haha--I am! Nice that there is a menu to order from so you can skip the buffet. Can't wait for the Taj tour next week!

👍 Excellent 👍 In my opinion this was the best hotel you showed in India till now . This hotel was another taj mahal, even better ! Great views, in my opinion, people who watch the Taj Mahal from here are much luckier than people who are in the taj Mahal (10:45 - 15:10) . I have been waiting for a long time until you show this luxurious services (25:03) 👍 . They must serve the breakfast in guest rooms (during renovation of the main restaurant) . It was also very good that the hotel staff were wearing traditional clothes 👍

Breakfast buffet was indeed messy and not so clean! There is very Luxurious Train Travel in First Class called Maharaja Express! The Heritage of Ancient Bharatia (India): Mumbai To Delhi. Destination: Mumbai - Udaipur - Jodhpur - Bikaner - Jaipur - Ranthambore and Fatehpur Sikri - Agra - Delhi. I am sure you will enjoy this Luxurious Train Experience!

Stunning looking hotel. But I agree with your impression of the breakfast buffet....not impressive. The Boscolo in Budapest offers a far better variety buffet for a considerably lower price.

It's not only the best home away from home, its for the persons who are employed there,,... Its not a place its a feeling, the warmth, which the Oberoi gives to the visitors or guests and the employees....

The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata in my favourite Oberoi hotel
Is that the new one outside the city? If it is, I used to see it being built when I spent some time in Kolkata a few years ago. Only the superstructure was evident the. All breeze blocks and such! It reminded me of those gothic New York City buildings in the Superhero stories like Batman!
