    Hey....from the state of Connecticut in America. I watch Saskdutch kid from Canada and enjoy his channel.....as well as Sandi Brock (sheep farmer) Your channel showed up so I'm taking a look. My grandfather had a small farm and he was quite a handy mechanic.....he actually "built" his own tractor, cultivator, snow blower....and just about everything else he needed on the farm...so I guess that's why I'm attracted to farm channels. Anyway....enjoying what I'm seeing so far.... you have a very pretty farm !

    • @IFarmWeFarm
      @IFarmWeFarm  Před 4 lety

      Terry Branston chicken manure has a whole different set of risks, it would have devastating effects if it gets to the water courses, also birds and vermin can carry it to neighbouring fields where it can cause salmonella and botulism in cattle if there a carcasses within it.

    Would the 885 not run the agitator or would she boil on it? Not enough fellas take the gas off of slurry seriously (myself included sometimes, no ones perfect) but I will always move the cattle out of the shed, I'd only be going in for 10 seconds at a time to see if the slurry is shifting the lumps and straight out again, weather wasnt too bad today now in cork, very cold wind would dry everything but we will still need 5 or 6 days of drying before we can get cattle out without ploughing up the ground

    • @IFarmWeFarm
      @IFarmWeFarm  Před 4 lety +1

      only takes 1 second to get you and there's no time to react, the 895 can mix and has don't so many times but i just didn't want to take of the bale splitter...

    As the fields are waterlogged when slurry spreading have you and fears of slurry entering water courses and river systems please

    • @IFarmWeFarm
      @IFarmWeFarm  Před 4 lety

      Terry Branston I have no fears whatsoever as I follow a rule of good common sense and experience. We don’t spread slurry if ground is waterlogged as it would have no nutritional based benefits to our ground and would most certainly cause a high risk to run off. I explained in my last video that I walk my land on a regular basis to check for things like this and only spread when it’s appropriate to do so. Our water courses, rivers and lakes are tested regularly which is a good thing.

    Does making the videos add more pressure on you, or do you find talking to the camera a bit therapeutic? 😂

      Clive 7810 making the video’s and editing takes time but I enjoy it, talking in front of the camera is a bit weird at first but I’m getting more comfortable each time. Therapeutic? Not really as I can’t stand the sight of myself 😁
