Not sure if it works on farm equipment, but we used to cover hydraulic fittings at sea with a product called Denso-tape. Real greasy heavy duty tape. It worked wonders for protecting the fitting against corrosion, unless they were made out of Chinesium (exceptionally poor stainless steel from China).

Air suspension??????????

The front suspension valves on the front axle were a problem from the 6400's straight grease clarted all round them is the best way to keep them. Looks messy but stops them rusting so quick

Adrian have you ever thought of picking up some old side covers of lorry curtin siders for the top of the silo after you put on the plastic or just for the front for extra weight
