Join us as we fail at getting breakfast, succeed at negotiating taxi rates, fail at snorkeling, succeed at pool floating, then head back to the ship for an evening filled with Guy's Smokehouse dinner, jazz in the French Quarter, and a Tiki Deck Party on lido... woohoo!! :D

We're cruising on the maiden voyage of the brand new ship from Carnival Cruise Line... Mardi Gras, sailing out of Port Canaveral, Florida! We sailed from July 31 to August 14, 2021 on back-to-back cruises with stops in San Juan, Amber Cove, Nassau, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Mahogany Bay. This sailing was 95% vaccinated (see our separate protocols video for more information on that) with basically no mask requirements indoors our outdoors, no social distancing, and self-serve buffets. Let's do this thing!

The portions for the Smokehouse seemed small, but I bet it would be perfect for just a little taste without filling you up; I'm always SO stuffed on cruises! The Tiki party seemed like such fun...hope they still have that when we are on there! I am so looking forward to it! 🤗

$6.50 for a glass of lemonade with no liquor, wow! The portions at the Smokehouse seemed to be rather small.

What was the difference in expense if you did a ship excursion as compared to what you guys chose to do?

Just curious, How do you keep your stuff safe on the beach?
The Bahamas started as of August 6th no one is allowed on their islands without a negative test 5 days before arrival. Will Carnival offer an alternative port like Key West or even Miami? I don't want an extra day on their private island as it is very lacking in comparison to other cruise line-owned islands.
We're supposed to be there tomorrow, August 6th... I guess we'll find out!! :O
