I was an only child. I made a Barbie house from boxes and cardboard, asked for carpet samples for my Barbie, wallpaper too. Had running water from a Dixie cup with “elbow” straw for faucet, restaurant jelly container for sink…. Lots of creative ideas kept me playing for years. Curtains and quilt for Barbie. My homemade Barbie house was stolen along with my bike years later from the basement storage locker in our basement. I do not even have a photo, I’m now in my early 70’s and I still miss my Barbie house. Widowed, two adult kids, 4 grandchildren and I still love to sew. I am NEVER bored. Keeps my mind sharp too!
I loved making cardboard houses too! I hope whoever stole it got a lot of joy out of it. I’m so sorry that happened 😭
My favorite toy growing up was my roller skates 🛼. So many falls, skinned knees, bruises but I loved them
This bag is amazing and you make it look so easy! Excellent choice of fabrics and colors! 👍❤️
I loved my Cricket doll…. think Chuckie…. but with a sparkly personality😂😂😂
Hi Loren great video I love to watch you sew because you are to the point even with errors everyone makes errors. My favorite was the tip it game. You are young so you may not have heard of it. Thanks
Such a cute bag. I always enjoy watching your videos and I always learn something new. I really love how you created the "Extra Sneaky Slip Pocket" and also adding the "Keychain Holder Strap". I will definitely be adding these to some of my bags. I love adding extra details that are unexpected. Part of the fun of sewing. As a kid my favorite toy were my Barbie dolls. It sort of started me on my way to sewing because I liked to make my own doll clothes. I would sew, knit and crochet all kinds of fun and unique clothes for them. I still have some of them.
Ooh! Gorgeous! And that webbing is the exact colour I've been looking for everywhere for at least a year now.
Girl! You’ve got some muscles sewing that binding on and turning it right side out. Mmm. Fav toy as a kid, I can’t really remember any expect playing with ABBA cards❤❤
I loved using my Easy Bake Oven…best brownies a light bulb could ever make 😂
Oh Ben 😂, he’s being so needy. My Jack sits right next to the needle at times which is challenging to get the work under it to sew 😂oh kitties! 🐱
My favorite toy as a kid were my Barbie dolls. I still have them
Love your Bubble Bag. I have yet to make it. I watched the whole video. 💜
I have always loved my Fisher Price Little People school bus from the early '70's. I still have it! Thanks for another great video! I can't wait to make this cute backpack!
hm favorite toy as a kid has to be my boot skates, they were so fun.
Hand made stuffed monkey I named Curious George that still 50+ years later overlooks my bed. Thanks for another great video.
I love Ben. He just needs to hear your voice. Love him.
Listen- we love you, Lauren, but Ben is the star of your channel. 🤣He's who we really want to see. 😉 When I was a kid we loved pound puppies, anything Rainbow Brite and Popples!
Easy bake oven and candyland board game, were my favorites.
Omg yes
The bag is gorgeous. Giant Tinker Toys
❤❤❤❤ Love how it came out! Love the print!
So excited you made this bag, I'm still intimidated by it. Favorite toys growing up: talking Alf stuffy and my brothers' Transformers 🤣🤣🤣
My favorite toy - that's a hard one. Loved my Barbies. Also loved my Holly Hobby oven (basically an easy bake oven).
My Eaton’s walking doll when I was a little girl. I loved that tall long haired girl!! ❤
I believe they were called creepy crawlers. I had them too as a child in the early 70s.
Amazing as always
Favorite toys: Jump Rope, Jacks, Storybook Dolls (pre-Barbie), and it’s not a toy but I loved climbing trees. 😂
Ben is a mood. Love him!
Love this bag
I loved Barbies and Cabbage Patch Kids!!!
i didn't play with toys so much as collect them. and my collection was all things STAR WARS. i still have everything, too (action figures, trading cards, dixie cups (!?!), etc.). my prized item is my REVENGE OF THE JEDI poster that my grandfather (who worked at the printing press that made them) snagged for me before they changed the name of the movie. ♥
Oh that is AWESOME!
Huge well done.
Nintendo game boy was definitely my favourite toy! the OG one!
Oh yessss
Milky the Marvelous Milking Cow. I still have mine from 47 years ago! 😮
A Jane West cowgirl doll from the Sears catalog (vintage 1967) 😊 She had a horse & all kinds of extras.
Omg sounds amazing
Adorable
I also love how you sound like Dorothy (or she sounds like you), "Do you want to make it with me? Let's go! Come on! Let's go."
Bahaha it’s both 🤣
I always miss your live videos
This one wasn’t live so you’re good!
I also used to bounce down our long stairway on my but, hmm i wonder why i have back issues at 61
Love Ben❤
Cute bag, could you do the zippers raw edge like the purse pal zip and linning
Oh maybe!
Where you get your purple I guess vinyl from and Halloween vinyl from
The purple vinyl is lavender luxe from my website.
I think with some careful pressing and a lot of tape you could sandwich those side zippers between the layers to not have any exposed zipper tape
I think you’re right!
My favourite toy as a kid: a blue-haired doll my Grammy bought me. I treasured her until my mom gave her away because I was “too old” and my cousin wanted her. 😭😭😭😭😭. It’s ok, I’m not traumatized or anything. 🤣🤣🤣
😭😭🫂🫂
