Good to see a respectful debate on a topic that people are 100% for it or 100% against it, there is no inbetween.
So her solution is to disregard the boxers will to fight and ban them from their livelihood so that she can feel about herself.
It shouldn't be banned but boxer's "will to fight" is irrelevant. Even in the sport they have their cornermen to save them from themselves.
U cant ban a sport that people love simple as, just because u dont like something doesnt mean it cant exist. Boxers are very aware of the risks and know what they are getting themselves into. Can things go wrong yes of course but im willing to take that risk because i love boxing.
Well, I don't think a lot of boxers really understand the risks of sub-concussive hits, that they could be going senile at a young age thanks to the profession. That's not because of boxing itself but more bc of training habits like headshots in sparring. The more you get the worse it can be.
Maybe so but the solution is not to ban the sport. Educate people of the risks sure that makes sense but to just outright ban it is ridiculous. Its like saying trampolines should be banned because u could break ur neck

I find it so weird that only now are we taking issue with sport. Sports been around for millennia and yeah people get hurt. It's the risk you take to play sport it happens.

There is more intelligence in Chris Eubanks little finger than in Miss Reads body.
Well, she's not wrong about the negative impact of constant strikes to the head to brain health. Where she gets it wrong is the observer's assumption (bias) that boxers intend to harm other boxers. Eubanks wonderfully set the record straight on that issue.
