2024 Bear Springs Trap XC Race

What a grueling race! The first half was fun. A lot of climbing and fast flowy singletrack, then things went sideways. The trails haven't been used for years, and it showed. Boulders everywhere. Most of the downed trees were cut, but some weren't. The pace slowed dramatically, and I ran out of food 1.5 hours in. I honestly went into it thinking the race would be 1-1.5 hrs long. I finished in 2hrs 30mins. I bonked pretty bad at the 2 hour mark, and began questioning my life choices. I pushed on (barely) and managed to the finish.
Dialed Cycling Team took 1,2,3,5,6 places in my category though! Great team!
