''How can you test to see if your sheen is organic in nature or not? The simplest way is to do the stick test. Move a stick through, or drop a rock, into the sheen. If you observe it break apart in irregular patterns and float away, it is natural. If you see it swirls and works quickly to come back together, as oils in water do, then an oil-based pollutant may be present. It is also important to note that a big indicator of a sheen is its smell, and natural sheens will not have the chemical or gas smell that petroleum does. Small amounts of thin oil films in situations such as runoff from roadways will either evaporate or be degraded naturally by bacteria in a few days and are no need for alarm, nor do they need reported. If after your test you suspect a pollution event is in your water,... ''
She talks about how oily sheens may be cyanobacteria on the surface from blue green algae which can make you extremely ill just touching it... Ingesting it can kill, especially dogs...

hey hood a correction, 4 pound tippet is 6x! 3x is around 10 pound test and is considered leader material! what i was taught on leaders and tippets is 0x is 20 pound 1x is 15 pound 2x is 12 pound 3x is 10 pound and are your leaders 4x is 8 pound and can be either and your tippets are 5x is 6 pound 6x is 4 pound 7x is 2.2 pound and 8x is 1,4 pound test!
I'd like to see how chironomid flies work down there. You just dangle them under s strike indictor (tiny bobber), it's super easy and effective for most pan fish base their diets on 'em all around the world. They're supposed to imitate emergent midge larva.

Dam, to see that water like that piss me off because I think 99% of it is preventable if people took the time and watched what they were doing they can stop that. Mark when I watch your show, I come away very happy satisfied for the day but today’s video depressing we have human need to take care of of the things that we have or we won’t have them. The environment can be as good as we are to it. Everybody just needs to do their part.
most of that is off cars mainly grease castoff from the suspension and tire scum that was picked up from the oil in the asphalt that the sun draws up to the surface nothing you can do about it beyond developing new bearing systems that don;t use grease and using concrete for road surfaces which doesn't work too well down there!!!
