The one time Kevin the one who people say makes the greediest offers tries to bring the sharks together so they can all make some money.....he really deserves that Mr. Wonderful title.......Also that product is going to be successful big time....With all 5 sharks it can evolve from detecting bed bugs to eliminating them from your home.....only problem I would of preferred Lori there instead of Barbara.

I love Kevin, he's just not understood by everyone but he's authentic and I respect anyone who is really them
He sure was right, right off the hop too. He knew all those dollar signs were floating around the room for everyone to see.
I personally feel he did that because he knew there would be competition and he did not want to get outbid and miss the opportunity. This is literally a worldwide product where it's simple to use with basically no instructions needed. May not solve the problem, but it detects the problem which is good enough in this case. Best part is, it is a consumable, so people will come back to get more after they run out. This is a money maker.
Daymond's facial expressions while Maria explains why she turned down 5 million dollars 💸 is priceless 🤣. All he was seeing was 💰 🤑

Their strength is in business, not sales. Once they started demonstrating how well they knew their business and its road to success, that became the selling point
Pitch is for the viewers since it's entertaining but the Sales, Deals and Patents are the only things that matter to Sharks.

I think that’s just part of her personality. Mr. Wonderful is all about royalties and brutal honesty. Lori is all QVC. Robert is a proud immigrant who loves capitalism. Daymond started on the mean streets of Harlem and is now a fashion mogul and a licensing genius. Barbara is a real estate tycoon but also a woman scorned by her ex-husband, who left her for her assistant. A little bitterness toward men on her part is par for the course. I don’t think the guys take it personally. I love hearing all their backstories and watching how it affects the way they make deals.

Anyone who ever says “I need an answer now,” is someone I would never, ever do business with. This is someone’s entire livinglihood, finance, and life’s work… and to whittle that down into a 5 second *yes or no* is flat out disgusting on every level.

@@dylnn40 don't worry man the actual negotiations take 10-14 hours but they edit it to 10 mins for the purpose of education not entertainment. You're not supposed to understand it because you can't. You simply don't have enough info and just randomly edited scenes. All those keyboard warrior comments acting like financial experts and psychologists are bullshit and have no idea what they're talking about.
Keep watching it. I’ve learned from just watching. I can tell you how to get an evaluation too. Say they want $500k for 20% right, just got to your calculator and put in 500,000 divided by 20% and you’ll get your answer of $2,500,000
Most of these deals actually fall apart later on lol. The actual negotiations are more tedious and behind the scenes.

Mark shows the candidate that he’s been listening and understands their main NEED/distress causing Factor. After hearing their own worry being echoed by him, they instantly know they want a deal with him because HE GETS THEM.
The other sharks still haven’t picked up on this communication technique of his.

This show was very different back then. The Sharks used to be more arrogant and cold assuming the people who came on this show were dumb and didn't know what they were doing. I think they've humbled themselves over the years.
True. But its all part of the show. I dont believe they were really that arrogant/cold. I’m sure they all know what the biz is about before the pitchers walk in there. And even the pitchers have an idea. Sorry to burst the bubble but its TV, not reality TV. Reality TV died sometime in the early 90s.

This is by far best Shark Tank episode I've seen.
we found a few bed bugs, I treated the room it was in. But those suckers can live for months and hide anywhere and migrate a pretty good distance to feed. Basically, even after months of not seeing one, I didn't really know if we got them all. The product does solve a problem and give piece of mind.
They can survive without eating for several months.
Best treatment is to heat up your apartment/house (let professionals do it) and they'll die.
IF the deal really goes through, having these 5 people working alongside you, damn they are going to be a millionaire in the span of a few months man

Hearing how much bedbugs had evidently gone up made me question how old this episode was, and... Season 4? Yeah... I am SUPER interested in how the pandemic slashed the spread of something that primarily spreads from travel lodging.

This is really fascinating. Not only were all 5 sharks practically salivating at the opportunity, but they all 5 went in on the deal. The really miraculous part, though, is that the deal apparently went through and Daymond has been particularly involved in their processes.
I'm not sure I've heard of another deal on Shark Tank that involved all 5 sharks where the deal actually went through.
My jaw hit the floor when Kevin asked the women to leave so the sharks can all talk. I don't remember ever seeing anything like that before.

One of them said during their pitch that she was offered $5 million for the trademarks and the patent. She was smart to turn it down, because they're making over $4 million a year, and with Buggy Beds in lots of stores & online, they're predicted to keep growing....so they'll probably be making $5 million every year, if not more.

Not like they need money though. They need expertise of the five sharks and also the sharks bring a huge "in kind" investment along with the money - their sales teams, legal teams, packaging partners, manufacturing partners. In this case, the 250k is more of a symbolic investment.
