It's a place well worth visiting. And if you do, also try to walk the Caminito del Rey. I made an episode on that as well. It's only a few km away. Thanks for the comment!
13:57 I haven't been there often. I sometimes stop by the bakery nearby that belongs to the same owners. They sell pretty artisan bread. Not 100% old fashioned bread but still better than white bread.
The small bakeries in the villages are known to have the best bread around the Málaga area.

Lovely video. Just a note…. Muslims crossed into Spain in 711 so there is no Visigothic rule in most of the 8th let alone 9th and 10th centuries especially in the South. Great shots.

I’ve had my bike licence for such a long time that things might have changed since I took it. But as far as I understand, you can, if you’ve had the licence for more than two years. But it’s better to contact the Spanish authorities for a good answer.
9:52 that cemetery might be having excavations because they wanted to find where many men were executed and buried during the Civil War. One of those men was one of my great-grand fathers. I wish they could find his remains so he was buried in a proper place.
That's a moving story. I hope they find the remains of him and any others to give closure to the families.

We are in Alora at the moment, lovely place, tried the Porota after watching your video, what was served up to us was nothing like what you got. It was absolutely vile, it looked like dog sick and tasted disgusting, two mouthfuls was all I managed 🤮
I’m glad you liked Alora but I’m sorry you got bad food. I think you need to go to the place I went to, to get it cooked correctly. It looks simple but I don’t think it’s easy to make.
