Koroks are not rewards. They are like breadcrumbs to lure players out of a predestined set path and send them in different path or to show them something which would be hidden while following regular path.
@@steve4812 If people don't feel the satisfaction of getting the exploration reward, they're probably just not into the exploration side of things. korok's stop you from feeling bad about exploring endlessly.

They'll at least need to compete with the Steam Deck and even THAT is now showing its age.
@@Krypto121 I still don't think there's a game that has more content than totk thats less than 16gb. Even with little voice acting, humble resolution, and reused objects, there's still a ridiculous amount of content. The compendium alone has more than 500 items, weapons, animals and enemies. The animals and enemies having their own animations and sounds. Nintendo has 40 years of experience working against storage limitations. Plus the Japanese are obsessed with efficiency.
You can't fuse weapons that are on the ground, can't fuse more than 1 item at a time, can't summon wolf link, can't stick stuff together to my hearts content, there is a build limit and I can't fly across the map because the wing glider, balloon or floating block im using despawns too quick. All this leads to a bit of disappointment I was kinda looking forward to a fan powered skateboard but the devs didn't think of it. no musical instrument like the ocarina honestly I could go on for days.😢
I don’t see this as a problem bc this game is meant to be enjoyed over time and it’s not like we get a Zelda game every year it excites me to know there is a lot to do in amazing game and things to look forward to.
Just goes to show that putting gameplay and world building first and second compared to flashy 4k realistic graphics will always pay off. My main problem so far is the Minecraft part. Building a raft to get back from somewhere I've been sent, only to find that when I stick the fan on my 'boat' and go to hit the fan to start it, it instead destroys the wooden boat...twice. Picked up my copy at Best Buy on friday. I played it with my 7 year old son ( who also loves breath of the wild) this past weekend. I remeber being an 8 year old kid in 1988 playing the orginal NES Zelda for the first time, and being amazed at how great it was. It was good to experince that with my son playing tears of the kingdom.
The great plateau temple of time side mission is genius. This game is huge! It was raining and I stopped at a stable got off my horse the sun came out and my horse shook water off itself. Crazy detail. GOTY
As I can understand RGT’s disdain for korok seeds, they’re also pretty damn important to collect. It expands the game not only in exploration, but also your ability to carry more weaponry, etc. A rather major component to the overall game.
At first I didn't care for them. But then it became pretty fun...and they're important. Unless you wanna constantly be fuckin with inventory...well you are anyways...but it helps
I completely agree, I played last night with the intention of getting some towers activated, I got 1 done in a 3 hour stint as I was completely distracted everywhere I went, it's overwhelming, but it's a problem I wish every game had. It's unbelievable how much there is to do, amazing game
How happy were you when you went to the stable & found all your horses there from the last game?! 😮 I found Zelda's Golden horse & went to register it & the whole stable was already full! Even that HUGE gray horse with red hair, nice!
This was actually my most impressed moment so far. To have all the horses with the names I gave them was a nice way of making the games actually feel connected.
I can agree with this. It's a weird problem. I've never felt so overwhelmed by playing a game before. lol I have to put markers on the map to keep moving towards a general direction. Otherwise I'll end up somewhere completely. Example - Wanted to go from Rito Village to Yiga Clan hideout. Started out heading south and next thing I new I was in the sky back over rito village. I can't think of any game off the top of my head that has more things to do than this game!
Honestly, because of OCD trying to get every nook and cranny I despise this because it almost feels like filler content. Like does the dungeon provide mats or anything significant for exploring. If it just dungeons with different puzzles to clear, not to fond of that without reward, again I don't know if these side quest provide anything and that's due to lack of research on my part.
@@chrisblair9272 I mean if ur a child sure I guess lol y’all Nintendo fanboys finally found out what building is and y’all think daddy Nintendo invented it lol
My favourite thing in this game (as well as BOtW) is how easily distracted I become in Hyrule. Tears of the Kingdom is a sequel worthy of Breath of the Wild and will hopefully keep me busy until Starfield is released.
If you don't have a lot of time to play, this game is very tough. Some shrines can take a while to figure out and the exploration is amazing. There can never be too much to do but it will take a while to get all of this done. That's not a bad thing. I like to keep a note pad next to me so I can remember what I'm working on or want to do next.
@@Brinta3 because there is way more freedom on how to solve them. I don't look at it as a challenge, more like "Ah ha, that's just pretty nifty to do it this way or even that way! What would someone else might do?"
Reasons Why TOTK wasn't a masterpiece 1. The Champions were FORGOTTEN and we don't have their abilities anymore 2. The Master Sword wears off too quick 3. We really want the Master Cycle back 4. I don't like it when Hyrule Castle Is Floating 5. Replacing The Sages was a big mistake 6. They won't let us continue the game after you Saved Zelda
It sucks knowing there probably will never be another game like this. I am highly doubtful they will release a 3rd one, as I don’t think any Zelda has had a series, most don’t even have a sequel haha.
@@BitchChill “A good number of Zelda games have gotten sequels” Really? I don’t think there have been that many. There was OoT + MM, Phantom Hourglass + Spirit Tracks. The Oracle games were companion games. A Link Between Worlds was a spiritual successor. In other words; it’s quite special for a home console Zelda to get a direct sequel.
@Grim Abstract But there will eventually be a new Zelda game that’s even more amazing than BotW and TotK. We just can’t imagine yet what it will be. There may come some lesser games before that though. I hope Nintendo will put Link in a new world. Let’s leave Hyrule for once, and invent some new races and enemies.

I completed my first temple last night. I kept on getting sidetracked by cool things. Oh! I see a shrine over there! Oh, I see some ruins over there! Oh, there is a cave! The game is so jam-packed that I can't keep on track. Thank God there is an adventure log.
I still haven't completed Breath of the Wild (I have to beat Ganon and the DLCs) and it took me so long to get here, I can't imagine how long it'll take me to 100% this one. I'm glad my favorite Nintendo youtuber has warned me about this problem!
The problem with ToTK is the first time I went into the deeps I only had 4 hearts and I had just dropped into Hyrule Field and it scared me so I teleported back up to the surface lol. In all seriousness tho I love this game!!
one of my anxieties about this game is that theres a lot of stuff that reminds me of the mastercycle, where you would have to be (at least in theory) so far into the game to get it that by time you do it's not like you can really take advantage of it.
Korok seeds are the reason why I refuse to play the Botw type game. No game is worth wasting a single second on if an awful game design issue is required for 100% completion
I thought I was going to knock it over a long weekend; super wrong. Read that a casual playthrough could take 70 hours to get to credits if you don't rush the main quest lines. I can believe it as I'm like 30-40 hours in and I'm just now hitting the midway on the main quest lines; a little less than half the tears(I've decided to collect them in order) and I'm at the approach to the third temple. This is with me doing side quests but still ignoring a ton of stuff like the depths quest lines; the eyes, the Josha line, the Pirates, etc etc.
The 900p is a big deal for me on a 55" TV, I have to play in on a 32" 1080p tv just to enjoy it and so my eyes don't hurt, BOTW 1080p was fine, but this 900p is so bad I can't deal with it.

There's a meme that I found related to Skyrim a little while ago that reminds me of the topics you're addressing in this video It's a line from the first Shrek movie "Quest?, But I'm already on a quest!"
I feel this. the other night, I was triying to get to a tower. Decided the best way was to make a plane, and I tried to make it self hovering, since I wasn't launching from a high enough cliff. I couldn't make it work and all of a sudden, I had forgotten all about getting to the tower and was invested on making the plane work (which didn't). Damn I had so much fun and spent like 3 hours and accomplished nothing 😂
I completely feel you on this one Shawn! I feel so overwhelmed at times and don't know where to start so now I just walk and where ever I end up is what I'm making do next 🤣🤣
I to felt like I was never going to progress the main story, but then i realized this is the first game where I have to use real world goal based tactics if I wanted to progress at a reasonable rate. Long term goal ( visits all the villages) and various short term goals ( get all the sky diving armor so I can basically fly). I have to disagree that there is to many missions. I do think this game as very overwhelming for many because for the first time since Majoras mask, we got something that does not hold your hand like your are a little baby.
I hate that people are saying it's the same map. Meanwhile you have the sky now and underneath the map. I had no idea you can explore beneath Hyrule. this game is huge.
I feel the same way. The game laughs at you every time you have a plan for the session. It throws you with a lot of distractions along the way. It is not a bad thing at all as you said
I feel overwhelmed as well but you know what I love it because I know It's gonna take a very very long time to beat because I plan on doing everything and let's not forget to DLC they'll be coming out in. The future so prepare for a long long journey everyone

I’m also blown away that they were able to make it so huge and alive, in only 16gb. Crazy.
Lower base resolution, little voice acting, not much in the way of AI. All of that stuff balloons the game size.
I was thinking the same thing, that's probably why they didn't enhance the graphics much from botw game.
@@stephenjones9242 The Switch wouldn't be able to handle it. Graphical art style aside (always personal preference) everything is much lower resolution than you'd see on next gen consoles.
The Switch hardware is the limiting factor for Nintendo now, and I highly doubt their new Switch will be that much better.
The problem with this game is that I def won’t beat it before ff16
Nintendo CZcamsr critiquing Zelda?
In most open world games, there are too many things you have to do. In TOTK, there are too many things you WANT to do.
If your a adult with a full time 40 hour week job, this game is not for you.
i do only 24 h job a week and still struggle 😂
I spent hours yesterday doing absolutely nothing with any quests and had a blast. Loving the game!
Same and now I just got passed the sky world and into Hyrule for the first time yesterday lol. I love this slow process!!
What There is to do is fun though.
I don’t see this as a problem bc this game is meant to be enjoyed over time and it’s not like we get a Zelda game every year it excites me to know there is a lot to do in amazing game and things to look forward to.
I made sure I finished RE4 Remake before this released, but despite getting the game last Friday it feels too overwhelming to start!
Just goes to show that putting gameplay and world building first and second compared to flashy 4k realistic graphics will always pay off.
Sure, if tloz team were aboe to make this game just as good on 4k realistic would be phenominal, but im super glad they chose quality of function of beauty of display. Abd 6 years after botw's release, its still a good game artisticly
Hey, maybe a remaster in the future. It would be amazing to have the best of both worlds
My main problem so far is the Minecraft part. Building a raft to get back from somewhere I've been sent, only to find that when I stick the fan on my 'boat' and go to hit the fan to start it, it instead destroys the wooden boat...twice. And then I've run out of trees so I have to swim across and stop halfway to have a meal and replenish my energy.
Lmfao. He’s back at it. He’s going to milk TotK dry and then he’ll be pumping out Switch 2 rumor videos out daily again with clickbait titles like “Nintendo confirms Switch 2 or “My cousin’s best friend’s dad heard the Switch 2 was coming out soon”. This dude is a view scavenger for real.
Why give him views if you don't like the content
No he is not…
@@Slam- Lol. My view doesn’t make any difference. I don’t understand how anyone can’t see that this dude latches on to something he can get mediocre views from and milks it dry. This is like his 30th TotK video in less than a month. He did the same with the Switch Pro rumor videos that he assured us was coming out. He’s a view scavenger that will do anything for views.
@@TiredOfAllOfThis Lmfao. If you believe that then you are a total fanboy because this dude milks the same content over and over again
@@Jawwaad1111 it's kinda his job
Picked up my copy at Best Buy on friday. I played it with my 7 year old son ( who also loves breath of the wild) this past weekend. I remeber being an 8 year old kid in 1988 playing the orginal NES Zelda for the first time, and being amazed at how great it was. It was good to experince that with my son playing tears of the kingdom.
The great plateau temple of time side mission is genius. This game is huge! It was raining and I stopped at a stable got off my horse the sun came out and my horse shook water off itself. Crazy detail. GOTY
My Hubby bought me TOTK for Mother's Day. Going to start it today...SO excited!
May you have an awesome adventure 🫡
@@kadosho02 Thank you!
@@sherry8414 you're welcome
It's SO GOOD and in my personal opinion superior to BotW in practically every way... Bold statement I know
As I can understand RGT’s disdain for korok seeds, they’re also pretty damn important to collect. It expands the game not only in exploration, but also your ability to carry more weaponry, etc. A rather major component to the overall game.
When the mc's came to live out the name
you also don't need to do all korok seed btw.
At first I didn't care for them. But then it became pretty fun...and they're important. Unless you wanna constantly be fuckin with inventory...well you are anyways...but it helps
@@thedadtris you know it! 🤘🏻
And I like that they made mini puzzles or challenges for them. Thats way better than just running by and picking stuff up.
that's ok because we're gonna wait for the next game at least 7 years.
RGT "I'm not going to review TotK" 85
I completely agree, I played last night with the intention of getting some towers activated, I got 1 done in a 3 hour stint as I was completely distracted everywhere I went, it's overwhelming, but it's a problem I wish every game had. It's unbelievable how much there is to do, amazing game
Great Channel for Nintendo Switch 👍 Greetings from Germany ❤
The graphics are killing me. I was looking at the water on this game, it looked so uniformed and weird.
I actually like that Tears of The Kingdom makes the exploration *meaningful and rewarding* which is something that Breath of The Wild doesn't do.
It did but clearly not as much
How happy were you when you went to the stable & found all your horses there from the last game?! 😮
I found Zelda's Golden horse & went to register it & the whole stable was already full!
Witcher 3 lol
Honestly, because of OCD trying to get every nook and cranny I despise this because it almost feels like filler content. Like does the dungeon provide mats or anything significant for exploring. If it just dungeons with different puzzles to clear, not to fond of that without reward, again I don't know if these side quest provide anything and that's due to lack of research on my part.
@@jameswalterthethird nah. And witcher 3 isn’t nearly as fun.
That's when I youtube how you solve them lol
I haven't found a challenging shrine yet, but I'm excited to find one. I've only done about 25.
@@Gigadander
So far the shrines seem to be easier than in BotW.
@@Brinta3 Agreed
@@Brinta3 because there is way more freedom on how to solve them. I don't look at it as a challenge, more like "Ah ha, that's just pretty nifty to do it this way or even that way! What would someone else might do?"
Reasons Why TOTK wasn't a masterpiece
1. The Champions were FORGOTTEN and we don't have their abilities anymore
2. The Master Sword wears off too quick
3. We really want the Master Cycle back
4. I don't like it when Hyrule Castle Is Floating
5. Replacing The Sages was a big mistake
6. They won't let us continue the game after you Saved Zelda
It sucks knowing there probably will never be another game like this. I am highly doubtful they will release a 3rd one, as I don’t think any Zelda has had a series, most don’t even have a sequel haha.
A good number of Zelda games have gotten sequels
@@BitchChill
“A good number of Zelda games have gotten sequels”
Really? I don’t think there have been that many. There was OoT + MM, Phantom Hourglass + Spirit Tracks.
The Oracle games were companion games. A Link Between Worlds was a spiritual successor.
In other words; it’s quite special for a home console Zelda to get a direct sequel.
@Grim Abstract
But there will eventually be a new Zelda game that’s even more amazing than BotW and TotK. We just can’t imagine yet what it will be. There may come some lesser games before that though.
I hope Nintendo will put Link in a new world. Let’s leave Hyrule for once, and invent some new races and enemies.
The “not a Nintendo CZcamsr” got extremely old very fast almost to the point where I feel like clicking out of each video as soon as it’s said. So I’m happy it wasn’t said right away in this video
Zelda : Skyrim edition 😂
dude dropping down with the glider into that super deep cavern looked awesome asf
also, this is what made skyrim great. getting so distracted from your main quests that youre 8 hours deep into a play session of just wandering around doing side quests and being immersed
With a game as good as TOTK the longer the better.
Bubsy on the SNES WAS $70 in 1993! Can we please stop talking about a game costing that same amount, 30 years later!
Dude , you are my favorite zELDA-NINTENDO youtuber so far! thank u =)!

Glad you Cleared up the “PROBLEM PART “ because I think these fans were heading to the safe and unpacking the heat phew I got scared for you RGT
Bro the went to TOWN WITH CONTENT in the open world.
They learned and don’t be surprised if they took a note from Xinoblade. Nintendo wants to raise the bar again like they do every 20 years.
They started the shiz man
But xeno dosent have any content in the open world? Lol
@@jameswalterthethird as far as placement and mapping the content is there that would be the note I’m referring to, apologies for that confusion
You’re missing out running past koroks man that stuff puts a smile on my face solving a little tiny puzzle with them attaching them to a rocket and watching them fly to their friend 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been watching your channel for a very long time, and I relate as a non-youth gamer.
No video has hit me as square as this one lol. My “goal” with this game was to take my time, look around, pick up all the things…. The expansiveness of this game overwhelmed me into chasing the dots lol😂
Deep world is scary yes
Another I'm not whining you're whining video
one of my anxieties about this game is that theres a lot of stuff that reminds me of the mastercycle, where you would have to be (at least in theory) so far into the game to get it that by time you do it's not like you can really take advantage of it.
Ive been watching asmongolds react videos. I know what the game is and its not zelda 😂🎉
Breath of the Wild had this same “problem” but it’s even bigger with Tears of the Kingdom
Handheld
@@dipeshrai3448 I have 20/10 vision and I can't even see all of what's going on, this is a third person action platformer not an indie game, an update with proper 1080p support is needed to play this on anything 50" or bigger
The BIG CLICK BAIT with Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. There fix the title for you. Your welcome.
I just want my classic dungeon format when they release a Zelda game like that gain I will come back to the franchise but I'm glad everyone is enjoying this game.
Bro COME BACK. it's still a solid experience. And the dungeons are there without feeling too laborious, which was probably my main complaint with the N64 and game cube zeldas
same - I just fell from the sky, and there is something at every step, and I still don't have a map and every now and then boulders fall from the sky and I NEED to rewind it ahhhhh
Only game I tell myself I'm gonna skip side quest where I just can't stop doing side quest. Crazy part is that most of the side stuff isn't even side quest! This game is just so loaded!
I’m 51 and DIGGING this game. Little overwhelming for me. Went ahead and ordered guide. Curious to see how it handles fusing and building.
That's what's up. I'm glad there's no age limit with gaming
There's a meme that I found related to Skyrim a little while ago that reminds me of the topics you're addressing in this video
It's a line from the first Shrek movie
"Quest?, But I'm already on a quest!"
Im taking my time on this one...2024 already?😂
Put a marker on the map when you run into something. Then keep doing what you were already doing.
Worth every dollar, this is what a $70 dollar game should look other video game developers and companies should take note
My first whole day was spent just on the Sky Island. Its gonna take me 2 years to do everything in this game and I couldn't be happier 😂
I've been just trying to focus on getting the master sword for two days now and keep getting distracted and side tracked lol
I am the definition of a casual gamer. And breath of the wild is wayyyy to big of a game for me to ever complete
The other problem is the short supply of the preorder bonus plaque. There are thousands of people that didn't receive it.
Does it beat assassins creed valhalla though?that took 160 hours just for main quest and side stuff , over 200 hours with all the expansions
