    This sounds like a good alternative to strait perlite. Less messy and shouldn't evaporate as fast.

      There are so many different ways. I like to try them all to see what I like best. Thanks so much for watching. 😃

    Hi Paul. I have a.Red Watermelon which arrived extremely battered & broken and when I contacted the nursery they replied with “oh lucky you, the leaves can be propagated “ well that’s not what I bought it for. Anyway, the plant has been getting smaller because I keep finding mushy leaves, I suspect from overwatering, so now I’m down to 3 leaves in a 2” pot and I think I should use one to propagate as many parts as I can manage and get my once beautiful plant back. Lesson learned here….don’t overwater Peperomia.

      Oh so sorry to hear that. Not nice what they said. You bought a plant, not leaves to propagate. Unfair. 😡. I’ve had luck with propagating in moss, water and acrylic, but probably best option would be the moss. Hoping you can salvage it and get some babies. Keep me posted on how things go. 🙏🏼🪴

      @@paultheplantparent2702 last night I put stem with half of leaf attached into water and other half with veins in soil but I’ll move it out of soil to moss. I’m like you…don’t like soil and it doesn’t like me! Hope it’s not too late for the move.

      @@renatecormick7399 even if it doesn’t do well in soil, you can always cut the good part of the leaf and place in damp sphagnum and cover for humidity. They seem to do well like that. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    I had thriving Peperomias in Paris, moved to northern Italy and all of em died so I pass on this one, go figure... but love to know it.

    Do those flower spikes make seeds? Can you grow a plant from a leaf like begonia?

    • @paultheplantparent2702
      @paultheplantparent2702  Před 3 měsíci

      Yup. They make seeds but you can also propagate like a begonia. 😃👍🏼🪴
