You have to see them live someday. One of the absolute best shows I’ve ever been to. Corey constantly talks about brotherhood and the togetherness of metal. Greatly inspiring.
Corey's vocal range is phenomenal!! One of the reasons I have been a huge Slipknot fan since 1999 is because they evolve. They're not afraid to push boundaries and try new things but still keep their signature style. I love all types of metal and all different types of music but one problem I have with a lot of metal bands is they sometimes become one trick ponies. Ok yea you can pound drums aggressively and power a song but can u slow it down, time it and carry it? Yea you can shred a guitar, great now can you give me a sweet melody that stays stuck in my head? Yea you can scream and growl, awesome but can you sing? Can you write and say something so profound and moving that you don't have to scream it? That's what I listen and look for in my music. Make me feel more than just the aggression. Make me feel alive, sad, happy, crazy, inquisitive. Make me think and question. Should definitely check out more Slipknot and check out Corey's other band, Stone Sour.
GWAR is a collection of aliens from the Planet Scumdogia that were trapped in Antarctica and frozen for thousands of years before all the hair spray from Glam Rock in the 80's caused them to thaw. Jamal your reaction to music warms my Heart! 💗🙌 I just want you to know through your kindness and love for all you make a huge difference in many peoples lives! ❤️💕
my favorite thing about watching your channel is your genuine interest and enjoyment of so many different styles and genres, all this is nothing new to some of us metalheads but seeing someone listening to bands for the first time and sharing that enjoyment weve had for years is amazing, you make quarantine a lot easier to me. much love jamal. keep killing it
You got the nail in the head in that when you get past the visuals the music is fantastic and layered with deep meaningful lyrics that anyone can connect to. Please check out duality. Love the videos
I love it when you get shocked and scared at rock / metal music at first then give good reviews at the end. I love it. Please react to some A Day To Remember / Silverstein.

I saw Slipknot in concert earlier this year for the third time. They are amazing live. They are one of my favorite bands. I haven't seen a stage show like theirs ever.
Now you've got to listen to their songs Vermillion Part 1 and 2, they are incredible and tell a pretty interesting story when you watch the official videos together. And then you need to check out Corey Taylor's other band Stone Sour. They are great too, and most of their songs showcase Corey's more melodic, softer vocals. You can't go wrong with anything he's done with either band.
Another description, from chaos to a calm voice. I've been amazed how Corey does that. I recommend to all Korn a "Different world" live video featuring Corey Taylor. ...beyond awesome.
3:45 "is there something crazier, visually, than Slipknot?" Plenty, but I recommend you check out Dir en grey, they're a Japanese metal band. Obscure, Agitated Screams of Maggots, Saku and Different Sense all have pretty crazy videos. [KR] Cube is also worth checking out, just because the song is a lot of fun and the video's pretty cool.
Maaaybe we should try to keep Jamel sane, just for a little while longer? I mean, Dir en Grey is ok... But, our boy here, hell, he not be ready for THAT ... Yet

@julien tremblay I was just about to say that lol! Ghost of Perdition would be the best song for that. He goes from demon to angel in that song.

@@schippes24 he was told that he will blow out his vocal chords if he keeps screaming like that, he found a balance and that is what you hear today.

Funny: Their show was one of the most peaceful atmospheres: really kind, respectful people...the masks of horror conceal those with the biggest hearts
Nothin but family in the pits
Seriously, metal shows are underrated for civility. Code of conduct, blah blah blah... People are just cool.
100 % true
Slipknot doesnt tolerate violence at their shows and their fans dont either were a peaceful group of misfits

Corey Taylor is an exceptional singer. You should listen to some the Stone Sour stuff.

No he does not
Stone sour is just Nickelback Lite

Corey and Dave Grohl - from can to can’t is an incredible song!!!
