The sewing group I belong to, we are sewing up a free pattern of our choice due first meeting in Sept. I am hoping to get a couple dresses cut out this week . Yes please, love to see how you make your earrings, day in the life stuff. Love that Sirocco jumpsuit, so flattering. I'm currently making the Ava dress by Atelier Jupe, it's taken me months as I haven't had much time to sew. And the collar went wrong a number of times. Just button holes to do but now I've run out of thread!😢 Next on my list is another Kielo wrap dress and an Olivia blouse. After that Lahja dressing gowns me and partner... The list is endless... 😂
The list is always endless once you start you can’t stop 😂 it doesn’t matter how long it takes it will be wonderful when it’s done and worth the snippets of time here and there and the ups and downs - the Lahja will be a bit of a pallet cleanser afterwards x

Happy birthday for Monday, the shoe shining story reminded me of when I went to an outward bound school, 16 boys and 16 girls 🫣aged15/16 imagine 🤩 the boys cleaned our shoes the downside was the girls did all the washing 🙄camping, sailing, fishing, all out door pursuits great memories ❤

Hello Becky! The company Decades of Style has a pattern called "Now and Then Beach pijamas" which is almost exactly as the Zadie (it was released before the Zadie actually) and has a dress variation with no gathers. I have made it before and it is a much better fit for me ❤

There is isn’t any markets per-se in Kilburn. Have you been to Portobello market? You can get the bus from Kilburn (328 - going towards Worlds End), get off at Westbourne Park station and then jump on the train to Ladbroke Grove. It’s a famous market with lots of different stalls and shops along the road. Theres Church street market which is closer and they have that (expensive) fabric shop there but they have great quality fabrics Joel & Son.

Hi Becky, don’t know which station you would be arriving into but Ray Stitch is in Islington, just 1.5M from Kings X. Unfortunately probably 6M from Kilburn so might not be any good.

Oh my word!! My family always did something similar on our birthdays- we didn't have to do any "chores" on our birthday!! Growing up on a farm, and also owning and operating a farm for an additional 20+ years-it was great!! Our kids loved it also!! Fun to hear of others birthday traditions, I wonder what others on here practice as well!!?? :+)

My DH and I also went out shopping at two of our local charity shops, and got so many things that were either "like new"-or actually still had the original labels on them!! I usually have difficulty finding things in my size range that are fashionable there-but I found three items for myself that were just fabulous!! Nice surprise!!

Oh yes, farm life is great-& hard work. Dairy farm both times. Growing up we always had horses-my dad expected hard work-but he always had time for God, family, and fun! I don’t know how he did it! I tried to carry that over to my family.

Happy birthday! Love your Zadie dress. I think you will be pleased if you make a longer one. I made mine from a soft chambray that was still quite structured and the weight of the longer skirt stops it from getting too poofy.

I think the resin buttons idea is great. I cannot advise on fabric shops as I am not in the UK. I really like the Zadie dress I would think of matching with a tie fabric belt in a colour that chimes in with the colour but also your skin tone. I think it would add extra zing. I am contemplating making a co-ord set for spring, a swimsuit and a skirt jacket suit and a jenna shirt not sure if I will do it all.
That’s a fab idea. I love a coord, the Jenna is a lovely pattern too… love the ambitious plans x
Great vlog as always. Can I ask on the Nina Lee Holland Park dress was the elastic channels okay for size you made? I too am big busted and recently made a similar dress but I think channeling for elastic didn’t look right? Would love to see your day in a life including Jazz and Wild thank you ❤❤
