  • A warning for anyone thinking of visiting Oregon wildfire sites: Dangerous fires are still burning underground.
    Wildfire coverage: www.kgw.com/wildfires
Fires are still burning. You just might not be able to see them.
Don Tesdal, a volunteer firefighter with the Idanha-Detroit Fire District, was in Detroit over the weekend doing fire mop up when he came across a serious problem many might miss. From above the mound it looked like a little smoke. But below it was an active fire just waiting for the chance to get out.
"If you didn't know any better, you could probably find yourself with two legs knee deep in one of those holes," he said. "And it doesn't take long at 1,200 degrees to burn the shoes right off your feet."
Tesdal has been posting videos on his Facebook page to inform the community of what is going on in Detroit. One of his first posts was last week showing what the fire did to his own home.
"The reason I've been posting these videos is to give the community an idea of what's going on," he said.

@@donkmeister as said above there's a chance of explosion if water is thrown in, because the space is enclosed and the internal temp. in there is too hot already, like an oven.. the purpose i suggested with concrete is to cut off the oxygen by plugging holes which feed the fire with air.. much like with what the russians did when they poured liquid cement on chernobyl to prevent radioactive materials escaping to the atmosphere.. depleting the fire with oxygen is a much better solution than fighting it with water, especially oil fires and underground fires.. the russians have stopped an oil fire with an underground detonation of a nuclear bomb.. watch this:

People who own business do deserve a greater part of the wealth. Not only do they provide pay for others but they also possess a massive risk if the business fails.
Taxes are specifically crafted to keep the wealthy in the country. Other nations would gladly take them and benefit from such.

Cherrie Mckinstry I doubt. Although there are 2 major things to consider. First off. California is on a broken slice of tectonic plate which is under growing pressure. Every once a 100 years or so there’s a major earthquake. Shaking the ground changing the entire landscape. Causing many casualties. It’s due. Last time it happened over a 100 years. So buckle up. Expect a 7-8 Gs in California. The other thing. The more global concern I have. That since 200 years we are taking out the devils black oil from the ground for $.
And what we took out already among many other things from under ground is most probably start to be missing from there. Think of pressure. Lava under the crust of Earth. Everywhere. So. What else? This underground fire is very concerning. I’m sure that back then white people did not take it in consideration where did the previous nations settled down here and which areas they avoided. I’m sure that the ancient knowledge we might have mentions this and this seems to be a known phenomena. But come on. Every year? Every year historic record size fires?
How all this burning now didn’t burn to ashes last year under the ground?
How can so much leaves accumulate under your ground? That does not seem normal. That doesn’t sound natural to me even if we have records of such.

Holds heat for weeks / months and creeps undetected). It’s not a joke. Fires aren’t out until they are are dead out. Cold trailing is what it’s called. Cold to the touch, with your bare hands running through the dirt , feeling for hot spots. Turning over the duff to the dirt( many feet deep). That is the slow, tedious , non- glamorous work of mop up. Thank you guys, for showing what still needs to happen still.... with all the millions of acres of forest land. The wildfire heat starts the rotted wood within it and thus starts to work its way down into the subterranian roots. The way you find this type of fire is by looks for trace smoke seeping up from cracks in the earth and using heat detection tools. If you step on the edges it will feel spongy. If you step over the burning roots it will cave in and you will be on fire from the feet up to your hips or more

Only if people followed 2 Chronicles 2:14 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Jesus Christ, The Son of God, who is God manifest in the flesh, loves you! He died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead 3 days later,
defeating death, so we could receive everlasting life. This is known as The Beautiful Gospel, which also means, "Good News." Repent and believe in The Gospel!
Proverbs 28:13- He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
Mark 1:15- and (Jesus) saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in The Gospel.”

Christ told us that many signs would precede His second coming including earthquakes, famines, pestilences, Christian persecutions- which are happening all over the world, false Christ’s, false prophets, etc.
Christ actually promises us that the world is only going to get worse before He comes back to judge all creation and make it better for those who have been forgiven and trusted in Him. I can still thank God through all of this because He is My Lord, My God, who provides you and I with each breath we breathe, every moment of our days, the food on our table, the water we drink, and most importantly, the salvation of our souls if we repent and trust in Jesus to be saved and forgiven of our sins. God bless you and let me know if you ever have any questions about The Lord, His Word, and His World. Jesus Christ loves you! Repent and believe in The Gospel!
