As a Nigerian, he is the reason i became an Arsenal fan, what a legend of Nigerian and African football.
I'm not Nigerian but it's because of him I'm also a Gooner. Arsenal were blessed with African or French legends and I hope we can get some more future legends from the African continent along with our homegrown players.

Apparently in his first season when he would score and the Arsenal fans would sing Kanuuuuuu!!!! When he scored at first he thought they was booing him lol until he realised thats what they would shout when we appreciated him scoring his great goals. Arsenal great. He one the double and part of the unbeaten season in his last year ❤

Vieira, Anelka, Kanu and many other great players he signed for literally nothing and made them champions, and Henry ofcourse, the greatest player ever in the league

Kanu is the reason I started supporting Arsenal. I was in love with his cool, calm, skillful and cerebral demeanor on the ball. Very highly intelligent football player.
Wenger always put himself in tough spots for his players. Classic Wenger. From the first time I saw him in 1999 till the day he left for good, he never changed that part of him. Salute Arsene.
The first time I saw Kanu play, it was after he'd retired- a charity legends friendly vs Milan in 2016. I've since been mesmerized by those moments of magic in the 90s, but I will always remember him jogging onto the pitch at 40, and casually bossing Cafu and Albertini like he was in the garden with his kids.
Probably around 50 if we're being honest. 😂🙌🏾🇳🇬

Childhood hero of mine, Almost every Nigerian kid in the 90s supported Arsenal because of Kanu! I Also loved hearing Arsène voice, felt so good. 😍😍 Miss him still.
I will never forget when I went on holiday to Majorca and went into a bar and asked the barman the Arsenal score. He said Chelsea were 2-0 up then in the last 15 minutes Kanu came on and scored a hat-trick Arsenal won 2-3 = Legend

This is an Arsenal officially released video, I don’t think the production team are Arsenal fans. Dennis Bergkamp was signed by Bruce Rioch, he joined a year or so before Wenger joined the club.
Impossible to find such hidden gems now.. Alexis Sanchez would look ordinary playing alongside Kanu.
Odegaard seems like one so far, albeit a bit early. Arthur can be another one if his attitude is good as he is clearly very good on the ball.
