First of all, is this guy the child of Tom Cruise and Pierce Brosnan? He looks like both of them combined. If he's an 80's celebrity, I have no idea who he is. This is also a super low-effort commercial. Someone just got a camera and sat Tom Brosnan down at the park and said "talk about the beer, but try to be as lame and meandering as possible." Oh, and spoilers: there is no to be continued. This was the only Coors commercial on the VHS. So now we'll never here the end of his meandering story about how his parents had Coors at his house growing up.

As soon as I saw "Man talks to his beer" in the title, I had this feeling that you had trouble identifying a younger Mark Harmon! He was just ending his three-year role as Dr. Bobby Caldwell on St. Elsewhere at this time, so he was definitely an actor with some status by then. This was one in a series of Coors commercials that Mark did around 1985-86. Much of them had him telling stories of some sort.

Yeah, I had no idea who Mark Harmon was. I assume he would tell some more interesting stories at some point, but in this one he just kind of meanders. I haven't found any more Coors commercials with him in it. Thanks for the info!

@@junknasium2 Just curious - how old are you? Mark Harmon is probably best known to people of multiple generations today as Jethro Gibbs on NCIS, a role he played for 20 years (2003-2023). He's been acting since the '70s, after having been a football star at UCLA.
