I commented last video but I highly suggest switching the standing mirror with Bennett cat tree so that he can be high up and look out the window. My cat loves his tree so much more when I have it by a window and is happy for sun rays to nap in. Also then the standing mirror would be by your closet which I feel like would be super handy for getting dressed.

You could buy or repurpose a small dresser and put it in your closet for under clothing and dress clothing. I did that and it worked great. Just leave half the closet for longer hanging clothes and shorter hanging clothes over the dresser.

You could use your smaller white dresser! That way you spend no money and free up some space in the room.

I love the disco ball planter there! It's so pretty! If you're lucky it will spin a little and Bennett will start chasing the little spots of moving light. My cat used to do that. I so enjoyed the cleaning vlog and I am getting one of those amazing scrubbers. Also...I think Bennett is becoming a ham for the camera!

You should ask the building to snake the shower and get a handheld attachment for the shower so it is easy to clean your shower and body. Best thing I ever bought.

Love a good reset video! For your shower problem, I’ve had similar issues in the past, and what I’ve done is put 1 cup of baking soda, and 1 cup of vinegar down the drain (you’ll hear it sizzle and bubble), leave that be for a few minutes, and then put a full kettle of water to boil and once boiled, pour the whole thing down the drain! Usually after repeating that a few times it clears it out! Good luck!
I hate it when disorderly half is folded and half not. That's why we now prep our clothes for the next day the evening before. Bc then you have the courage and time to put it back.
We put everything in clothes organizers with dividers so that you just have to put one back in stead of getting the while pile disorganized.
If you have a clog get a bottle of Green Gobbler from Home Depot. Pour it down the drain overnight and then pour boiling hot water behind it afterwards. I usually do that two times. The drain unclogs beautifully.

I find that our home is also almost always messy because of my organization haha! I think finding a home for every single thing in our home can be huge help so that it's easier to clean and put them all back. Anything that live inside the house that don't have a place really add up to the mess hehe

Love cleaning & organizing vlogs. I sent this one to our daughter Leah who also has a studio apartment (and 2 cute cats). Bennett’s expressions cracked me up. Cats have to get used to new stuff. Maybe he’ll start laying in it. I want one of those tub scrubbers. I agree that building maintenance should snake your drain or something but they don’t always get to things real fast. Your apartment looks so much better…such a great feeling to be clean! Funny as usual. 😂

Looking at it again, I see it was a chair, nonetheless, you can move the chair over a bit and put the school locker size closet there or make a bookshelf to fit the space. Ikea has them and add ons to put on top.

Okay hear me out 😅 I know you probably don't want to get any new furniture but I feel like a wardrobe would be useful for you cause you only have the one closet! could sell the low cube storage you have next to your bed and then move bookcase/chair there and put the wardrobe next to the front door possibly? I of course don't know if that would all fit properly. Sorry if this is completely unwanted advice :D

I suggest getting a plastic container you can use to fill with soapy water to wash your dishes in since you don't have a divided sink. I had a bathtub clog & maintenance (I rent) unclogged it by using a plunger!

Would you consider making a video sharing/discussing the struggle to maintain same body size/shape as you get closer to your 30's? You could focus not on diet, but the truth about this and how you've dealt with it, especially in your profession; how despite being very fit and active our body shape/size changes and we have to adjust.
The apartment is MASSIVE, I pay $2k for half that space, no kitchen, shared bathroom and a smaller closet.. and make it work just fine.. but yeah, omfg. It's huuuge. Damn girly. Lucky!!!

Drano can also strip the porcelain in the tub so be very careful make sure it goes down drain not on the porcelain. Good for you for attempting to do it yourself.

Hi Alexis, good to see you again. You wish for a closet where you can put your cleaning supplies and other stuff. Either you can costume make one or buy one where you can store everything. You might ask where am I going to put it? As you were cleaning I saw by the entrance door a spot. You can either remove the end table where the lamp is and put a smaller one thst will be good enough for the lamp to make room for the floor to ceiling small closet like a school locker wide. If you make it, you can just make small shelves having one go across on the top of the door to go as long as you want it to go. I wish you would've said something when you disassembled the bed. You would've used that wood to make the shelves. I hope you get the idea; I'm trying to elaborate.

You shouldn’t have to deal with the clogged bathtub. Your building maintenance should do that. The clog could be pretty far down and you will never get it. Let your building do it. That is what they are suppose to do.

I also live in NYC, and my old super would do this for me, but my new super is useless. I bought a snake too and just do it myself. Easier and faster. Sometimes you just gotta embrace the DIY in New York.
@@alexiseldredge Also btw, you're supposed to snake it through to top valve - the part where you toggle the drain to open and close. Unscrew it and take it off and snake there. (Just make sure you put it back on the same way when you're done). If it's feeding in right, it'll go in really far, like 5 or 10 feet. It's disgusting and also satisfying when it works haha

Is there a possibility to move and get a bigger studio? Or aren't you looking? But it's always nice to have a clean house. I am a flight attendant so today for me was all about washing, dusting and vacuuming as I was 5 days in San Francisco. So it does feels great with clean bedlinnen and the house!

You didn’t use the snake long enough you just keep adding more into your drain then reel it back.
Don't be scared of draino. Do it before bed or something and close the door for the fumes. The next morning run hot water and you should be all good to go!

Your drain can be slow not because of hair, but from soap/shampoo/conditioner residue…if Drano is ‘to scary’ at least try dumping a few kettles of boiling water down your drains at least once a month.
Also. Just try the Drano…
Boiling water and baking soda really works for me! But yeah...the building super should take care of it.

After living in an apartment with the smallest sink known to man, it's now a requirement for my future apartments to have a decent sized kitchen sink
the cat thing looks fine in that window. You really need to hang the frames on the dresser on the wall, they have always looked so awkward.
Also the frames on the dresser probably deter bennet from getting up to the cat bed. not enough jumping up room

Plumbing issues need to be handled by the building maintenance. It part of what your rent covers.
Try some mr plumber, make sure you let it rest before you flush the drain with hot water.

I think you need to mop too sometimes soon... sorry but here in Italy we are used to do it after the cleaning process!
The cat hammock is too high for him to jump onto… you might want to put something below it that he can use as a step/box where you have all of those frames
