The BARRIOS GUITAR QUARTET is considered one of the outstanding ensembles of the new generation. With their sensitive, dynamic and precise playing and unadorned virtuosity, these musicians are setting new standards for their genre. In the past years the BGQ has become an extraordinary creative force, its musicality further adding to the many different facets of classical guitar playing. I am a lifelong devotee of Edward McTier AKA Blind Willie McTell, who I believe read braille and classical tuning as baroque with a high G ,or A D G B E G,,ad lute and vahuela with twice the top range and half the bass.Baso profunda here ! Thank You,Old Chris a retired fiddler of Albuquerque NM D tuned

we made this Video at Kloster Eberbach. "The Name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco with Sean Connery was recorded there.
Impetuoso!
It sounds so cool when she hits the guitar. If all of you criticizing pay a little bit of attention, you will realise that the guitar percussion is the very rhythmic background of the music, and maybe it wouldn't sound so alive without it.
This and castanets are some of the coolest things in spanish music in my opinion.
Sonoridade riquíssima
well done, this makes me smile.
+stormbringerr mourn ~Exquisite piece of music!!! Thank you as always....

hi, sugar,
Very quality misic, bravo!
thanks a lot :-)
So pleasing to the ear. The baroque guitars are so expressive for this music. Appreciate the creativity used w/ the source materials - this can't all be in the tablature, can it?
genial
Very nice
bella questa versione
I want more! Sanz and Murcia please:)
Proper use of these acoustically wonderful places.
Esta bien chevere¡¡
عااااالي
Que bonito nombre del cuarteto
Bravo, bravo! I sub!
Are there any videos describing the guitars being played?
beautiful !! Brabo hope you cοme to greece... :)
where can i buy a baroque guitar? i want to learn how to play it so bad. they must be quite expensive let alone rare to get.
Yes, no one is standard! 2 baroque guitars (Martin & Stefan), eight string guitar (Antje) & Quint Bass Guitar after Hauser (Ulf)
Where did you buy the sheet music for this arrangement? I'm part of an ensemble and we'd love to pick this up!
we made our own arrangment based on the original Tabulature. it's not published.
Suena a Caribe
Muy buenos los interpretes
My quartet and I were wondering where we can access the sheet music for this? We would love to perform it. Best regard and hope to see you guys perform soon!
Hi Paolo uNO, I am sorry, there is no sheet music as it is our own special arrangement, especially for baroque guitars and a lot of details are not written but improvised. Have a look at the original solo piece by Murcia and make your own version, it´s fun!
Street magic.
Who made the baroque guitars? I'm very interested
Hello,
the baroque guitars were made by Otto Rauch.

what would thew name of that kind of guitar that is being used as a bass
it's a quint-bass guitar, made by Andreas Kirschner after an original by Hermann Hauser.
Only one was a standard guitar that I was taught to use. What are the others called? 10-strings? 7-strings?
If a student wishes to study the guitar, does he have in mind the Quintbass?
How did you guys even learn to play those instruments?? Did you first start with normal modern acoustic and practise tremolo and classical??? This feels very different so I'd like to get into it.
What in the world are the two outside guitarists playing?
Pog
what kind of guitars are that? none is "standard"
I am working on a podcast. I was wondering if I could use this performance on an upcoming episode. It would be integrated into a narrative. I will credit your group and song. if it's possible please let me know. Thank you.
Bueno, se ganaton una suscripcion mas :)
Toll gespielt aber die Kameraführung ist viel zu unruhig.
this piece sounds like a venezuelan canto llanero of some sort down to the rasgueos
Can the bass just hit one note on the top string, 10/10
The group is perfect. Just the video editor ... he did excessive cuts
tre bone, dancon
d minor
Oh man I know my memory is fries butt she hasn’t shed lol how are the acoustics in real life?
خوبه ولی من بیشترلودنمیشه وقطع ووصل میشه
The performance we are seeing is not the performance we are hearing. I would rather watch a more authentic video record of the musicians. This seems kind of canned.
Entrada mala
Grupo barrios,good try.
Ein Vergnügen zuzuhören
Wow! Snowden plays guitar? I hope he didn't spill the beans again...
Haha
Wonderful music, crappy videography.
sounds bad!
