Aidan TheReal Agreed. Also, people like to forget that he was pulling his own weight and still played at a high level when he played with LeBron. Not only is he a top 50 player, he's a top 25-30 player. I couldn't stand when Shaq said "over Penny?!". Penny was good for 4-5 seasons. Wade has been good for 13.
Thank you! It's even arguable that Kobe should of been finals MVP during the last year of the 3 peat. Shaq was an amazing player but he never lived up to his potential cause he never focused on basketball. That being said, a guy who is top 10 greatest player ever and he didn't really try is fucking amazing haha.
I have to agree... mullins not so much. Shaq shoulda been the college guy but laettner was a deserving guy also. I also think dominique should’ve been on that team also. Imagine being on that committee trying to pick the players for the dream team?!?😳😳😳😳😳 Tough.....
Human Highlight was injured/recovering from it that time, his play style was already in the DT via Glyde Drexler C Laettner came from Duke and was part of the NCAA champ they dismantled Shaqs LSU , and besides they have to have a player to sit out ... C Mullin was already a gold winner from 84, He MJ and Pat Ewing are core of that and already had teammates . He was the best shooter along with Reggie Miller that time position wise Isiah s doesn't fit the team because of Pistons dirty play style and he snubbed sportsmanship in the play offs with the Bulls, he had beef with The Two MJ S, Not to mention They hurt Larry too... Besides Stockton is a better fit due to his chemistry with Malone ... Pipp was 1st time NBA all defense and they needed a wing defender ... If Laettner was cut I would and HHF is healthy he would be consider esp if the college guy requirement be waved. Of. Reggie Miller would also fit
People just don't realize how good pip is. 22pts 8rebs 7assts the year Jordan retired. All star game mvp. His team won 55 games. He's still on that list.
Pip also had help. Toni Kukoc and Ron Harper was a beast(look up his stats before the Bulls got him). The rest was still pretty much the same. Also, the team concept and mentality didn't change once Jordan left. It was still applied. That is called leadership and it transferred from one team captain to the next. The lesson stayed. People who don't understand the concept(s) automatically jump to the record. People like to throw that out without taking a critical look at these important points.
kcire10 10 Ron Harper was as close to Jordan I've seen.He had it all offensively....and on D too....he got alot of steals.Injuries made him change his game and he was still a valuable player on those 90's Bulls teams

Really love the way Zeke described MJs move agianst the Jazz. Greatest moment in Basketball Historyit was the perfect end for MJs carrer. Nevermind the Wizards
Shaq loved Penny so much he ditched him for the Lakers. Scottie Pippen does get a weird amount of hate from players. We all know he was second to Jordan but he was a great role player to the greatest player.
As someone who has live in Orlando my entire life, Penny was the real deal. Shaq didn't dislike Penny. He just felt Penny was getting too much credit, plus he was going into his new contract in which Mourning signed a monstrous deal. The Magic low balled him and then the Orlando Sentinel ragged on him.
If Pippen was a role player, he's the greatest role player in NBA history. He was a top 3-5 player for most of the decade and had a legitimate shot at a championship or at the very least conference championship if the refs and the NBA didn't rob the Bulls against the Knicks
Shaq being salty is one of the funniest moments of this Open Court sessions but he did had a point. He was dominant but only one MVP to show for it. I understand why he salty about that. 😂
7:08 Thomas’ handles were ridiculous and he didn’t carry the ball as much as modern players. His handles were so tight and compact. IMHO his handle was as good as ANYONE who has ever played in the NBA.
They are hating on Nash. Give the man some damn credit! He averaged over 10 assists for 7 seasons, was a perennial 50/40/90 threat, and people seem to forget he was already an All Star with the Mavs before he moved to the Suns. He wasn't a product of the system. Yes, the system fit him, but Nash was in his prime with the Suns. You can't just expect to put anyone in D'antoni's system and expect them to thrive FFS. Then I guess you can use that argument for why any player succeeds. Duncan was made by Popovich? MJ by Phil Jackson and his triangle O?
I dont know if it was this episode, but Reggie said it best, if you lined up Nash, Kidd, Payton, and Iverson on the playground, Nash would be the last one picked. Nash is a great player, but it's hard to put him in that company.
last steve kerr statement is a testament of how good he is as a coach. he know his squad n he adapt it. because put big men on the floor might be a bad matchup because most of the team are playing small. plus most big men in the league now dont know how to post. if they can it might hurting small ball but most big men now playing high screen n roll and can shoot mid to long.

I don't get why they did a next 10. They did 50 greatest for the 50 years of the league, it's now been 20 years since then, so they should do a next 20. No wonder they found next 10 so hard.
They did that episode a few years ago. It hadn't been 20 years yet.
They did the next 10 during the 2006 all star weekend
Marq Lock Durant wasn't even in the league in 2006. The show debuted in 2011.
Lol I know dat. I was talking about when they did the next 10 during all star weekend in 06. It was an Inside The NBA special
Mars Haven't seen that? Is it online somewhere.
My point wasn't so much that they should have done 20, just that it had been over 10 years since they made the 50. So they should have done more than 10

isiah always talks real even about mj n they hated eachother
MJ hated Zeke, Zeke just wasn't sensitive in his competitiveness
@@geronimopratt7976 MJ gave Zeke his props he just said he doesn’t like him
James St.Aubin He was telling the truth Jordan was kicked out of the playoffs in the first round.
@@DP_1605 which is what I said. MJ didn't like Zeke and used his power to prevent Zeke from gaining more accomplishments on the job. That's an example of hate when you mess with a man's livelihood, but Zeke never publicly verbally attacked Jordan or referenced not liking Jordan.
@@geronimopratt7976 That’s not entirely true. Yes MJ didn’t want him on the team, but he wasn’t the only one. Magic said so to IT’s face, Scottie said he didn’t want him on the team and we know how Malone felt. I blame people who completely ignore that MJ called that man the 2nd greatest PG of all time and focus on the fact he doesn’t like the guy.
Gotta love Isaiah off the court this guy is a class act calling out a Jordan shot as the most clutch moment
Penny, T mac and Grant Hill. Were all great and also three huge what ifs.
The Bird stories are epic.. They never get old. I could listen to legends talk about Bird for hours.
Look at the hawks bench please when Bird hit that shots...i'm dying looooooooolll
Come on Shaq
Penny had only a great 4-year run not even HOF whereas D-Wade will be a HOF with 3 rings, 12 All Star appearances and over 23K points
Penny don’t deserve to be in the hall
Lebron James Steph Curry Kevin Durant?
Shaq: What about Penny
D wade is illuminati
Shaq played with all of them. Penny was pure talent.
Dragan Petrovic dwade carried shaq to a ring.....penny never did simple as that
I love this show and inside the nba so much. Area 21 too. Just retired legends talking ball like any other day. All the stories are so great and some are hilarious gems. I could watch Chuck, Shaq, Isaiah, Reggie, Kevin Mchale, Dominique Wilkins, Grant Hill, all of em. could watch em talk ball all day.
Agree. Way better than listening to NBA "analysts".
I saw D Wade play in Utah a few years ago with the Bulls. Even this late in his career he was the baddest man on the court. I'm glad I got to see him play at least once.
"Economic racism is the biggest problem."
Thank you Chuck, it feels so good to hear a celebrity say that.
@Showed Him My Dick Called Him A Fag you're misunderstanding. What Chuck meant was "bigotry". The question was about racism, but he's saying black AND white, the true oppression is against the poor. Of every color.
Curry on that top 50 list now
Love the open Court stories! Especially because I watched NBA growing up in 80s and 90s.
DWade dont get enough respect
Gets too much
He gets just enough maybe a little too much tho
Fasho, he was right there with Kobe & LeBron from 09-11, & ahead before then.
I get why he doesn't get enough. Sometimes I question how good he really was because of Kobe, leBron, KG, Dirk. These guys just made things look interesting and cool. For me, Dwayne was a guard version of Timmy. fundamentally sound, gives you consistent great numbers, and even though he was called flash, he wasn't flashy as a PG. He wasn't AI, or Magic, or Kobe, but he was solid to a point where you forget what he actually did. A smaller Tim Duncan, that's how I see it.
@@jwalk31he was called Flash because of how fast he was early on his career
17:34 Shaq is so god damn salty over that MVP choice.
Shaq is constantly salty about everything.
He speaks facts tho
@@thegolden807 he’s right that Nash didn’t deserve those mvps but Shaq wasn’t even the best player on his own team those years. He’s a little delusional about the whole thing
@@witherrss7908 nah Nash deserved both those mvps. He led the league in assists and took that suns team from being 29-53 to being 62-20.
@@MisterDoctorEsquire In a extremely high tempo offense(7 sec or less)with Amare, Marion and joe Johnson. He was a great player. However he did not deserve it over iverson, Kobe, Garnett

This is such a great show. I absolutely love watching it.
" oooooooooo... Micheal Jordan gonna b jumping hiiiiiiiggghhhhhh" lmaoooo 😭😭
13:11
When Chauncey said that, I absolutely felt that. He was incredible in Detroit.
Healthy Grant Hill was such a beast
Best thing for lebron's career.
I love this. Real basketball players can appreciate the stories and the camaraderie!
MJ and isiah had some of the best battles in the playoffs back then, but listening to isiah talking about MJ's clutch shot in utah you can see that he has respect for the goat
John Paul Del Rosario He doesn’t respect MJ at all. He has encountered tons of criticism for not recognizing MJ greatness. He still hates MJ for being left out of the Dream Team when MJ refused to play if Thomas were to play on that team.
Thomas was Amazing as a player but was not gracious in defeat
Isiah can look back fondly because he will forever have a winning record against jordan in the regular season and playoffs. That’s why jordan will be bitter for the rest of his life, because he’ll always have a losing record against Zeke.
Coach CarlIsles’ and the Mavs championship over Miami is one of the best championships basketball has ever seen. Dirk all-time
So ironic Kenny would guard zeke when he was talking about the "crooked leg"
35:03 One of the best comments i've heard on Open Court.
I, personally, love the cleaning and kitchen ladies at my work. They are so sweet :)
Sometimes i caught them singing to themselves and try to sneak my way just to hear a little more.
There are people so so sweet and with their beautiful honour at a simple job.
Just like Great Reverend Martin Luther King said: "Sweep streets like Michelangelo painting pictures, sweep streets like beethoven composed music... , Be the Best at whatever you are"
Watching and waiting for the last dance to drop! Huge basketball fan and love that we are going to see exclusive footage!
Chris Webber was a great player.
Yup, he was a damn good player, but I am still taking Dirk over him all day.
Shows the type of man Zeke is how he talks about Jordan with so much praise even though he knows Jordan hates him.
Sad, and when he states his opinion with regards to Jordan that goes against him they just call him a hater damn shame
@@halpreme8505 They say the 80s and 90s were a mans league and were so tough but they still hate each other 30 years later cuz of a handshake lol
@@Howdidhenotseeme It's not just about the handshake. Zeke was the ringleader of a team that hurts other players on almost a nightly basis. Sometimes with bad intentions. Zeke moved on because he was the offender. Some players didn't though. There's a difference between playing tough and playing dirty.
@@mummy7344 Jordan was being soft as hell, he shoulda hit the gym beforehand. The Pistons taught him a lesson and he learned he needs to add muscle

NBA/TNT needs to get these guys together again!! Their stories are amazing to listen to!! 👍🏽👍🏽
Chris Webber shocked me with his insightful answer... Keep the truly important things important and everything else in your life will fall into place.
5:30 Smitty giving Zeke some props for winding Wilkins up! Ha ha.

Webber was the first man child. He was nice his entire career. Even in high school.
Looking back at the 50 greatest episode today, they actually nailed it.
Love this show and these guys
Dwayne wade is top 50 unanimous chris Webber sounds dumb saying Dwayne wade won because of Shaq dude Shaq was past his prime Dwayne wade literally Carried the heat on his back and averaged like 35 in the finals number 3 all-time final average
Aidan TheReal The refs carried the heat
Well the defense focused on Shaq, double and triple team. Watch the series again and see how wide open Wade is after a 1 on 1 coverage from Terry or Howard it also helps that they gave him over 10 ftws per game.
Neel Joshi couldnt agree more hes top 25
Thank you! It's even arguable that Kobe should of been finals MVP during the last year of the 3 peat. Shaq was an amazing player but he never lived up to his potential cause he never focused on basketball. That being said, a guy who is top 10 greatest player ever and he didn't really try is fucking amazing haha.
Was never really a 80’s Pistons fan, but Isiah Thomas should have been on the original dream team. Other’s pettiness kept him off.
I have to agree... mullins not so much. Shaq shoulda been the college guy but laettner was a deserving guy also. I also think dominique should’ve been on that team also. Imagine being on that committee trying to pick the players for the dream team?!?😳😳😳😳😳 Tough.....
Stockton was just fine
Human Highlight was injured/recovering from it that time, his play style was already in the DT via Glyde Drexler
C Laettner came from Duke and was part of the NCAA champ they dismantled Shaqs LSU , and besides they have to have a player to sit out ...
C Mullin was already a gold winner from 84, He MJ and Pat Ewing are core of that and already had teammates . He was the best shooter along with Reggie Miller that time
position wise
Isiah s doesn't fit the team because of Pistons dirty play style and he snubbed sportsmanship in the play offs with the Bulls, he had beef with The Two MJ S, Not to mention They hurt Larry too...
Dominique Wilkins should of been top 50 for sure. Half the players on that list could not guard his jock strap.
McHales skill and wingspan is unreal. Love hearing props about some of these old school dudes
Pip is an all-time great but players give virtually no credit because he played with Jordan.
6:33 Isiah 🤣🤣 Not only can this dude joke around, he knows how to narrate them.
All these guys are great, classy dudes, honest, no egos just confident ball players.
I can't imagine guys like Westbrook, Harden, Kyrie doing something like this with the kind of respect these guys showed each other.
After several years of retirement the mindset changes. Not as competitive.
"Over me? Twice?". Truer words were never spoken
...forget about the topic: THE WAY they discussed Reggie & Ray was just a thing of beauty! So much respect, so much understanding for the game. #nothingbutlove

Chris Webber seems like a good person… would love sitting down having a conversation with him. Seems like a first class guy.
Magic in any era will be a great point Guard
👍👍 I MISS WATCHING THESE GUYS ON THIS SHOW...LIKE THIS ..no video Cam's ..LIVE,,
Please add English Subtitles. This discussion looks too good to be missed. Thank you.
Kobe would have been great on this 😭😭😭
Shaq loved Penny so much he ditched him for the Lakers. Scottie Pippen does get a weird amount of hate from players. We all know he was second to Jordan but he was a great role player to the greatest player.
Scottie also carried the bulls when Jordan retired and brang them to the playoffs.
Isaiah hates him for different reasons
As someone who has live in Orlando my entire life, Penny was the real deal. Shaq didn't dislike Penny. He just felt Penny was getting too much credit, plus he was going into his new contract in which Mourning signed a monstrous deal. The Magic low balled him and then the Orlando Sentinel ragged on him.
If Pippen was a role player, he's the greatest role player in NBA history. He was a top 3-5 player for most of the decade and had a legitimate shot at a championship or at the very least conference championship if the refs and the NBA didn't rob the Bulls against the Knicks
Real talk.
Nash is a great player, but it's hard to put him in that company.
seoulfive2oh How many rings does Nash have?
Hes not as good as the other guards. He never made the finals with an all star team . He never played defense. He never should have 2 mvps.
Nash never went to a nba finals a bum
@@zach6395 yah, Reggie put the nail in Nashs coffin with that line. Hes the 4th player picked everytime lol
19:32 is the best part of this video.. xDDDD

last steve kerr statement is a testament of how good he is as a coach. he know his squad n he adapt it. because put big men on the floor might be a bad matchup because most of the team are playing small. plus most big men in the league now dont know how to post. if they can it might hurting small ball but most big men now playing high screen n roll and can shoot mid to long.
Isaiah Thomas when speaking about magic at center I instantly thought of jokic
"Dirk, KG and Tim know me really well." LOL nah
umm none of those guys played for the Lakers ?
Linh Nguyen But the Lakers were the premier team of that era. The Kings were considered an upper echelon contender in that ultra competitive western conference
@@Isaac-mk3wj as were the Mavs and spurs those were always the top four seeds for like 2-4 yrs
