I don't think he's one of them, but he's definitely messed up and seems like a control freak. Look how he hijacked his wives personalities and clothing.
Lil wayne aint said nothing in this clip why do they have these titles 4 these stories but never be about what the title says. Stop trying to get views
I rather work two jobs before getting involve in the industry. A little hard work doesnt hurt no one. Peace of mind is better than looking over your shoulder
It's in Hollywood, politicians, the medical and science industry, college professors, sports... Anywhere people make it big, they have to do certain things if you want to continue and/or go even further up.
Every time you come across with video like this just run away before the video ends because this guys are using us as products for their fucking channel...
Prince was the smartest artist.. he wasn’t taking the advancement and spending it.. he recorded his music out of his out house until he was able to go into a real studio and record. Even so after purple rain he build his own studio
That’s why Blockchain, and NFT artist releases need to get strapped up with Distribution, and Media. That way the artists get blow regardless of labels.
The lambo remote control chain is one of the dummest and most ridiculous buys i have seen yet !! Smh ....all those ridiculously huge mansions with 28 rooms ...unless your starting an orphanage then NO ONE NEEDS A HOUSE THAT BIG!!
Someone on this said "it's like money laundering, making sure that the Artist budget goes to someone you fuhk with.." (Pause) But it's also like Double Dipping, the money they say is being spent "by you" is going back to them.. & YOU STILL OWE THEM THAT MONEY.. They're getting it back 2X
Damn. On top of this, imagine being in a rock band or R&B group with 4 or 5 members. Now whatever little you get is being split even more!!😮😮. However, members of HUGE bands like Metallica, Guns n Roses, and Linkin Park are very rich because they have far more LEVERAGE in contract negotiations.
Actually yes you do. They own/are in bed with all of the platforms to present your music independantly. If you rise to a certain level independantly/organically, they will be alerted and youll be contacted with an offer you CANT refuse. If you do, youll be blackballed, or sacraficed. They dont allow anything to get big or influential they dont control. Period. Theyre the mafia. Only with less class, respect, morals, loyalty and are immune to jail.
Since streaming brings in almost nothing, some deals are 360 deals. So , everything is tapped and the revenue is almost impossible. Sadly, the interest rate is like a crazy 300%, from what I hear. Typically, the time you realize you are really getting paid and not seeing it, you then have to sue those mfrs to get it. Criminal
It all depends on what deal you get what you pay and tours and merch is all your money every artist pretty much knows this shit know and get on a label anyway
@marcissobadass Dave Chappelle explained the native/indigenous Americans actually thought they were scamming the whites. Because the natives believed that land and nature is owned by God, not man. So they didn't consider Manhattan theirs. Therefore, they felt they profited by "selling" Manhattan (something that wasn't theirs) for what amounted to $24. But I understand you comparing the 2 scenarios of the naive being taken advantage of.😊
To be honest you guys should just make your CDs at the house if you want to make music because you can take it to the street and sell it and make your own money don't sell out and then they do all that silly gay stuff too come on y'all smh
Ohh I feel so sorry for them spending all their $$$$millions on luxury items, cars, houses and so forth and then noticing that it is actually hard to handle money, especially if you never had money!!!
Also... ain't no new, up and coming rappers getting 4 million dollar advances. That shit just isn't happening. Artists in the early 1990's like Nirvana showed everybody in the industry who had a buzz and labels going into bidding wars over them how to get a good deal and not let the industry control you. _But_ - all the artists after them in the late 90's/early 2000's were too stupid to follow the blueprint. So when the labels upped their advances to $1 million, $2 million for _some_ artists/groups to try and entice them away from taking the smaller advance, more artistic control, ownership of your publishing and a bigger cut of royalties, the dummies (which was most of them) took it and gave the power back to the labels. Of course it all crashed with downloading and streaming and now label budgets are a tiny fraction of what they were in the heyday of the 1990's and early 2000's but still - a lot of it is on the artists and a lot of it is on Bill Clinton passing the Telecommunications Act Of 1996 which allowed literally _two_ companies to buy up all the radio stations, venues and most of the labels. Nirvana for instance sold like 10 million physical units between September 1991 and late 1992 and in that time, although they were making money, it wasn't _quite_ like the other groups who took the $1 million dollar, fully recoup-able advances. Then, by the time 1993 rolled around and Nirvana's publishing royalties from Bleach, Nevermind and Incesticide started coming in, Kurt Cobain - almost _overnight_ - went from being worth about $2 million to suddenly having $35 million. Then, because they negotiated the right to - Nirvana recorded their third full length album, In Utero, on their own dime, literally footing the whole recording, mixing and mastering bill and choosing/hiring their own engineer who because of his principles took a flat rate with no points (royalties) on the album. Then they also acted as their own - all things the record company _does, not, want_ and tried desperately to sabotage by spreading misinformation in the media and trying to sabotage their own artist's release - the band were able to immediately start receiving the royalty and publishing payments off the In Utero album. Had artists - like many in the immediate aftermath of Nirvana and others had done - kept to that blueprint, especially in the "wild west" days of the late 1990's and first 4 or 5 years of the 2000's when labels were signing any and everybody - you wouldn't be seeing videos like this. As for TLC, you can feel bad for them all you want but their problems come down to the fact that they were just stone, cold, stupid and listened to the label, the label's lawyers and the label's affiliates instead of hiring their own lawyer and explaining the contract to them in a way their 21 year old brains could understand. They essentially _allowed_ themselves to be totally ripped off.
The 4 million dollars mentioned was hypothetical!! . I work in the industry with label owners and this is 100 percent what happens!! Labels They even have their own crooked lawyers. It's a racket. And Clive Davies?????? Welllllllll!!!
What If, You Weren't Given An Advance? What If, You Just Submitted Songs To The Label, And All The Label Did Was Make An Album Cover For Your Album. Then, Released It Into The Markets. Then, The CEO Is Also An Artist, Who Gets Upset, Because; You Broke His Charts. Now, He Refuse To Give You Your Money?? BMI is Not Giving You Royalty Checks Either. You Only Get Two Royalty Checks Per Year. One For Your Birthday, And One For Christmas.
I’m untouchable I cannot be touched Money means nothing to me. It’s just burning paper and toilet paper. It’s all it is money is we don’t really need it if everybody knew and their minds that you don’t really need it would be better and then you do more things. You’re free free. I am a patriot and I approve all the messages I sent out there that we do not need money to live love and trust and leadership. God bless America a freedom.
So what it seems like artists should do before they go to sign a deal with a record label is to make a binding legal document that trademarks their name, likeness, and intellectual property to hopefully be able to beat the record label at their own game. You would definitely want to get a good contract lawyer to handle it all to find specific loopholes that would work in your favor or against you. Doing it the Slim Thug & Lil Flip style is probably the best where you make all your own stuff so you own your own masters while getting out there spreading your music everywhere you possibly can. First time I ever heard Slim Thug was when he was still underground pushing his CD’s across the country in major markets. He caught me coming out the gas station in SoCal and I only had a $10 bill on me when he was asking for $20 (it cost $10 to make it with all expenses and he was trying to double up) but since I hadn’t heard his music yet he hooked it up saying I was going to be on the lookout for the next album I saw. He wasn’t lying and he has been smart with his cash ever since. The more cogs in the wheel of the business means more expenses and when dealing with a corporation that’s trying to make the most possible along with padding the pockets of their friends/associates.
Thanks for your comments I'm starting to read comments before I click on videos. Because it seems that's the only place you get any real truth if they're not censored censoring comments that reveal truth and don't create contention seem to be the only thing that they allow on this platform.
Bruh it's because everyone involved is in together against the "money". The money is anyone stupid enough to but that "x" on that dotted line. We "anyone" today wants our needs yesterday. We choose to wait for nothing, so much Im pateince. Let that soup simmer my dude be patient. Look at all possibe avenues. Chose wisely 🎉🎉
Im so glad this is all coming out now we can get rid of these creeps in music an get some realtalent in these record companies @that dont live hi off the hog while thise whise takent makes that money .. very soon recird labels could be exinct with todays technology an all the very smart music professional .enough .was thinking of left eye a,n what theyb lost due to labels an prince ....an soo many more .....
All you do is just go place to place and play your music and you’re a rockstar you’re a rockstar. You don’t need the music industry to do that for you. Be brave be outrageous. Be out cool like a rockstar dress like a rockstar and just go out and do it you don’t need a music industry.
If you notice that money is prop money, because real money don't hit the ground that fast,it's lighter.Prop money weighs more than real money.Try throwing up one hundred dollars in ones to $100 fake bills. You will see the difference.

It makes more sense to get a job working at MC Donald's 😂😂😂
Right?
No
This doesn't just apply to Rap. It's the whole music industry. The artist is just a slave/puppet... Prince knew.
Almost every industry
Correct
It's in Hollywood, politicians, the medical and science industry, college professors, sports...
Anywhere people make it big, they have to do certain things if you want to continue and/or go even further up.
PRINCE WAS/IS A VERY TALENTED MAN...HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!! ❤❤
THIS has to be taught to every single wannabe music artist regardless of genre. Absolutely horrific, a new form of slavery.
Well if you connect the dots you'll notice that it leads back to the powers that be that funded and support slavery. Just think about it
Say no, to Hollywood!
That was such an informative, captivating interview that Wayne gave 😂.
Every time you come across with video like this just run away before the video ends because this guys are using us as products for their fucking channel...
If you ignore the bad graphics, this guy is actually speaking facts and telling a good story.
Prince was the smartest artist.. he wasn’t taking the advancement and spending it.. he recorded his music out of his out house until he was able to go into a real studio and record. Even so after purple rain he build his own studio
Sounds like being a Painter is less of a headach Like Bob Ross.
Why does it seem like this only happens to rappers??? Does this not happen to country artists, pop, rock, techno?
I guess we'll catch wayne on the next one
😂😂😂😂😂
You forgot taxes...
That’s why Blockchain, and NFT artist releases need to get strapped up with Distribution, and Media. That way the artists get blow regardless of labels.

For the record, Soulja Boy's RC is a custom made Xmods RC back when they use to sell Xmods RC at Radioshack.
thanks. this is ao helpful for any upcoming rapper. I appreciate this❤
Those advances are like the candy bars you get on your pillow in prison, when you take them, you “pay” for them one way or another. 😂😂
That’s that 360 deal
I was trying to get into the music industry. And seeing what I saw God spared me.
NO ONE NEEDS THE RECORD COMPANIES IN THE DIGITAL ERA ............!!! 👁️👁️🔎🔎🔎
Actually yes you do. They own/are in bed with all of the platforms to present your music independantly.
Criminal

Makes me think about how they bought New York for $25 worth of trinkets.
But I understand you comparing the 2 scenarios of the naive being taken advantage of.😊
I get a chuckle picturing that guy on his knees cleaning up all the money on the floor and neatly stacking it after the video ends.
All them speaking for Satan.
