  • Avoid wearing caps, helmets, and other headgear after a hair transplant procedure as they could put pressure or friction on the newly transplanted area. This is due to the delicate nature of the transplanted hair follicles, which make them susceptible to injury throughout the healing process.
Before putting a helmet or cap, it's usually advisable to wait at least 2 to 3 weeks after the procedure. Even then, it's crucial to ensure that the headgear is loosely fitted and doesn't rub against the transplanted area. In the initial weeks following surgery, a soft, loose-fitting cap or headband can be a preferable choice.
Yet, it's crucial to adhere to the precise directions given by your hair transplant surgeon because they may have varied suggestions depending on your unique circumstances and the sort of surgery you underwent. Wearing any headgear that could put pressure on the transplant area should be delayed a little bit out of an abundance of caution.
Precautions to take When using BIKE helmet or Service/ Job / Industry helmet after Hair Transplant:-
To safeguard the newly transplanted hair follicles, you should take some precautions if you must wear a riding helmet following a hair transplant procedure. The following points should be remembered:
    1. Before wearing a helmet, wait until the scalp is totally healed, at least 2- 3 weeks following the procedure. Also, make sure that any crusts or scabs on the head are completely gone.
    2. Choose a helmet that fits comfortably: Ensure that your helmet is comfortable and neither too tight nor too loose. A loose-fitting helmet can slide around and rub against the scalp, while a tight-fitting one might exert pressure on the scalp and harm recently transplanted follicles.
    3. Utilise a soft liner: To add more padding and lessen friction against the scalp, think about utilising a soft liner inside the helmet. Further specific liners for use with hair loss treatments or following hair transplant surgery are offered by some helmet manufacturers.
    4. Take breaks: If at all feasible, pause during long rides to take off your helmet and let your head breathe.
    5. Be careful: Be gentle when putting the helmet on or taking it off. Avoid pulling or tugging on the hair or scalp.
    6. Prevent excessive sweating: If at all possible, avoid riding in hot or humid weather as these conditions can irritate the scalp and raise the risk of infection.

It's generally advisable to avoid riding a two-wheeler for at least the first week after a hair transplant to minimize the risk of trauma or injury to the newly transplanted hair follicles and ensure proper healing. But we recommend you to consult doctor near to you. Treatment must be done under the supervision of doctor.
